Stanwoood Cinemas LLC Review

Being the only theater in Stanwood, it's in desperate need of renovation. The seats are worn out, there is a sour scent in the theaters, and the lighting and projectors are showing their age. Unfortunately, you would be better off driving to Marysville, Burlington or even Bellingham for a movie. Extra points for the popcorn, as they let you butter and season the popcorn with your choice of flavors. Unfortunately, it's not enough to keep me coming back.

Really close to my house and gets all the good movies. Can't complain!

Amigos is always great. Haven't been in a long time. Seeing Jorge was awesome and his service was super as it has been for many years. Food was great as usual!

Hey, it's been recently renovated and ya gotta love a movie theater in a tiny town!

This move theatre is one of the best and you can have your dinner before seeing the show

Restrooms need maintenance and the theater seats felt as if they would fall backward.

Great place for a birthday party or group event! Rented the whole movie theater for a group of 12 year old boys...they loved having the place to themselves!

The inside of building has a mural that makes it look like a 1950's Stanwood main street, there is an oriental and a Mexican restaurant inside the building as well as an arcade.

Great theater!!!! The employees are very helpful and very nice. 10/10 would recommend seeing a movie there!

Amazing place, the manager is super personable and happy to answer questions. This is an amazing hidden treasure with near empty seating you have the theater to yourself....brings a person back to an era of 80's theater dates and a time long past. Go see Jose at amigos and have some good food or drinks before hand......can't go wrong here

Nice little cineplex tucked away in the back of a mall. The foyer is pretty neat. There's restaurants and shops all on one side. The seats are comfy and it's usually less crowded than most theaters, if you come at the right time.

Great place to see a movie, let the kids run, and grab dinner!

The staff is great but the theaters and restrooms need to be updated.

silent have a nice restaurant beside so if you got hungry after the movie. there you go.

Very uninviting atmosphere. Lighting burnt the drapery and chairs were broken. Had to "leave the theater " to use the restroom.

It's a fun movie theater with two nice restaurants in the same building, seats could us an upgrade.

The theater is rundown and my father, who is in pest control, always goes on about all the rat and roach problems they have that he deals with. The owners don't pay to upkeep the theater rooms (you'll find strands of duct tape holding pieces of the walls together). The place really let it s self go it s sad I use to go there a lot when I was in middle school. The bathrooms were disgusting and when mentioned to them that it was gross the guy just smirked at the mention of it being disgusting. They didn t do anything and just ignored us.

I love the Stanwood Cinema! They have been upgrading the theaters but keeping the retro-feel. Both resturants are excellent, so if you like Mexican or Chinese food, it is super convenient.

Nice to see the theater has improved. Much cleaner, better seats.

there should be a separate line for tickets and food! and 4.50 for a hotdog you microwave??? come on!!! oh and ewww the faucet handles in the bathroom were clear so you could see the green mildew or whatever you call that growing in there. the place definitely needs a good cleaning all around. lastly, there was a bunch of teenagers in regular clothes screwing around be the "employee room" going in and out. looks like someone had all of their friends join them at work!

If yall wanna see a good horror movie here go too the bathrooms

It's my favorite theater! Never to crowded and they now have 3D!

This was the first time I'd been to this theater. Very nice. Not so crowded.

Very clean and tidy and respectful staff are always here to help you if you need it! the food is good too and the prices are great too! no downsides to it at all!

Manager now getting place cleaned up. Went to bathroom and was greeted by a clean smell, was pleasantly surprised. Must finally have a cleanup staff that works.

We went to see a movie here recently and I was shocked at how run down this theater has become. The coverings on the walls are peeling off and are held on with duct tape.

During the movie it was very difficult to follow the action during poorly lit scenes because the light form the sconces on the wall could be seen on the screen. I left the theater and told one of the workers of the problem, but nothing was done to fix it and we had to put up with a very poor viewing experience.

I left the theater thinking that I would have had a better viewing experience watching a movie in my home.

The price is low, but still a waste of money.

We hadn't been to the theater for quite awhile and were pleased to see that there had been a lot of renovation - great seats, new carpet, new wall coverings - all of which made for a greatly improved theater experience.

Dirty place and the worst seats to watch a movie . Only nice thing we where the only ones in the movie.

I can't say enough about this charming theater. It's so nice to have this theater in such a small community. The cinema has been updated with new seats, sound and decor. They get a decent line-up of movies also! Our family appreciates all the work they have put into the theater and the friendly staff.

This place is very poorly run. The staff seem untrained & uninterested in taking care of guests. The lights didn't go out in our movie & no one noticed. I had to go out to the staff to get the lights off! This could be such a cute place with attached restaurants & a common area. Super idea, dinner & movie all at the same spot but poor execution.

I read the reviews about the improved Stanwood Cinemas and was skeptical. I had last been there a few years ago when the seats were the worst, it was dirty, etc. But tonight I went on an impulse and was quite pleased. All of the fans have been telling the truth! The place has been painted, seats replaced, and the facility cleaned. Add that to the fact that we arrived on a Friday night three minutes before a popular first run movie was scheduled to start, did not have to wait in any ticket line, and shared the upgraded theater with only ten other people! It is a great place to see a movie now.

It's a little older theater with concessions. The popcorn is as expected of any theater. Plenty of parking available. The food places connected to this theater are delicious.

I was glad to see the place get cleaned up. It was becoming a real s#%* hole. It's fine now.

Small hometown theater. It does not have the fancy seats or fancy concession. It's just a classic theater and it offers $5 Tuesdays.

The improvements made to the theaters were badly needed and they are good now. BUT the Women's bathroom is disgusting!!! It's long overdue that you upgrade it entirely!

May not be the latest and greatest but it's unique, and it's two minutes from my house, so for these reasons I love it.

Went in for a movie today and the theater clearly hasn't been cleaned. Food everywhere, hard to find a place to sit that wasn't filthy. Also half the seats are missing armrests. I realize we are a small town but it costs nothing to run a broom through.

I loved it the art work on the walls and the stone brick floors but the chairs in the theaters were really bad

!!Terrible!!! We took three preteen girls to see a movie (not cheap) and one of the fellow patrons let their kids be really loud and run all over including infront of the screen twice. We expected an usher to ask them to leave, even just for a little bit so the kids could calm back down but no usher came. I brought it up to the big guy with the pony tail at the concession and he asked me why I didn't say anything. Me?! I don't police your theatre. I asked for some kind of refund or something but he said it wasn't in his power which is a lie. He also said someone came in to deliver popcorn and they didn't see anything wrong which was also a lie. I would have asked for their help. What a terrible experience.

Wow what a chance. New paint,seats. Complete turn around from dangerous broken seats. Plenty of room. Needs more trim work. Lighting bad for seating during pre program before start of previews in theater 5.

Went to see A star is Born, projector didn't work! They refunded our money and we left. What a bush league operation. Will never go there again!

Really cool design inside. Feels like your entering the outdoors. There are restaurants indoors for you to eat at before going to the movies. Also there is an arcade and concession stand to grab food before going into the movie.

Very dirty inside. I hope i can forget about the garbage during the film.

Just went back after a year from the last visit, the upgrades in the theater are fantastic, will definitely come again.
