on hold for 25 minutes, no answer, hold message says "you may want to call between 2pm and 4pm to avoid busy periods" while I'm on hold at 3pm. The message also says "everything is possible through our website" but the website doesn't work. Extremely frustrating

Website doesnt work, when you email you get an incorrect response, only giving 2 stars as the lady i spoke to in the council offices was very helpful. If it wasnt for the other issues she would get a 5
They never answer the phone hard work, all reception staff are rude when you go in as well. They should all be sacked and people given the job that want to be there. Trying to get through for an hour now just to find out when our bin will be collected as it 4 days late now
I am constantly reporting fly tipping and apart from moving the items that's as far as they go. New rubbish gets dumped in its place and obviously by the same people each time but the council seem powerless in taking action to stop it happening again, again and again. They have never once contacted me even though I have made at least a dozen reports. I just feel they are not interested at all.
After moving areas I was told I was in arrears, yet nobody over the phone can tell me any specific dates that I am being charged for. I was given the number of a man in the 'Recovery Team' called Adam who I had been communicating with via email, when I call the number I can never get through to him and have to explain my case all over again, each time I phone for an update.
While disputing this debt, I was requested to emall them photos of my benefit statements, but because my new statements only showed my new address they told me this was not enough. After explaining to them, multiple times, that it would be impossible for me to get a new statement that shows a previous address, they have now requested I provide them with a council tax statement of my new address. Even though I could have happily provided them with old letters, which covered the dates they requested and the address they were inquiring about. This is becoming tiring & distressing. I struggle on a daily basis anyway, without extra stress like this being caused when I know I am not liable to pay any more council tax than I already have. The communication with this council is an absolute joke, and I am now considering taking my case to court with legal representation due to the incompetence and ignorance from Staffordshire Council in my case.
Website clearly states that the council office is open at 8.45am, tried to call them at 8.55am. A recording said that the office was closed. Does the council need to update its own website.
The few staff are great but there are not enough people doing jobs for the amount people pay in taxes. And even in person everything is referred back to online even if you visit the offices. Sad times
Worst council I ever had to deal with ! Wont provide you with bins or bin sacks for 1 year plus ( took 4 complaints) and every time you try to call them you will have to wait a good 25 minutes to talk to someone who is qualified enough to tell you that you have to fill in some form Online.
Tried to phone to book an appointment to register the birth of our baby. First phone call they hung up, after several minutes of being on hold. Second phone call and we're still on hold ( currently 29 mins ). Absolutely ridiculous. Wonder if they'll reimburse my phone call!!!!
