This is a place in the middle of the city with a real Mediterranean feel. Watching the boats, ducks and cyclists, you can read on a bench for hours without being disturbed.

Pretty and historical. You could even say it's pretty historical. Walking around there, you wouldn't know that the location is where Ghent once started, centuries ago.
Here you can make a nice cruise through the waters of Ghent. You sail past various Ghent sights and are provided with clear information from the guide, who is also the driver of the boat. Extra nice is that you can take a delicious special beer on board for a special rate. The guides speak various languages including Dutch and English.

This place is one of the most special to discover in Ghent, it has been beautifully redesigned. It is ideal to go there at sunset on a spring or summer day and enjoy the view with a drink (cocktail). This is also the place where the big fireworks go on, in the Ghent Festivities or on New Year's Eve, and even then coming here is recommended.

Beautiful marina in the city center of Ghent. Well-maintained closed scaffolding, just sanitary facilities, close to restaurants, shopping streets and public transport. Just a pity that larger yachts cannot get there due to the limited bridge heights and largely closed waterways in the city center.
