Its been 40 years since we owned a horse. Went to Stablemates because we like to support our local shops. Staff was very short with us down right rude. We told them we were new to this which they could have sold us the moon but they weren't interested. Now that I know they don't need support I will find someone who does.
Went for boots. The women there were helpful and very nice.
I visited to hopefully find white reasonably priced dressage pads for an event occuring in 3 days, as it turned out they had the pads there in the store, they were on sale for fair price.
Great variation on supplies from tack to breyers toys and they even have furry friends working also which was a cute surprise.
We have been coming here for years! To be honest it depends on who you get at that time. The owner is pretty grumpy to say the least!!!!....Last night was really it for me!!! I rather do online shopping or drive to Poolesville Maryland and get friendly service ALL the time!!!! I use to like giving my money to mom and pop stores but definitely NO MORE!!!!!!!!!

This store has a large selection of Breyer horses as well as the usual equestrian equipment. Good Christmas sales and variety of items. The people here are always friendly and helpful.
Although the store is small, they have a wonderful selection of items and I always find what I'm looking for (and end up buying more than I had planned on!). The store personnel are knowledgeable and very helpful. Buy local!
