I drive to Bozman before I go here. This is the worst hospital I ve been to in all 50 states. For the love of God just drive to Bozman Health. In ANY case of emergency go to Bozman. I left St Peters in the middle of losing my baby and finished my care in Bozman. St. Peter s will neglect you, make you wait, and mishandle your body, the doctors here are not gentle.

Visited for surgery follow-up; staff at entrance, registration and doctor's office were all very helpful and friendly. COVID-19 protocols still followed and we wore masks the entire visit. The waiting areas and offices are quiet and comfortable.
The urgent care at St.peters north clinic is absolutely a joke. I ve had two bad experiences. The first time I went in for a assumed year infection and they INSISTED they did a pelvic exam even though I denied to have it done and that my primary care doctor just has me swab it myself. (I was a minor as well, alone. So I felt extremely cornered by the nurse and doctor and scared and alone and I was to scared to say no so I let them do it)
The next time I went in and told them I have a UTI and Need to be tested because my bladder is in extreme pain and they said to give a sample of urine so I did. They told me they tested it and it turns out after a visit with my primary care provider they never did test it and just assumed I had BV since I get that recurring. It was extremely bad for my urinary system and I can truly say unless I m in an emergency I will probably go to a different place for the urgent care.
Also, billing and patient advocates suck and didn t do anything to help.
I was in the ER one week ago. I thought that I had Carbon Monoxide poisoning due to an incident the previous day. I had been sick for many days and then one of our carbon monoxide detectors went off. When I pulled it off of the wall I noticed there was something inside of it, so I switched it with our other detector. An hour later that detector went off, so I called for help. I had the Helena Fire Dept and Northwestern Energy arrive. The fire dept tested my home and found elevated levels of carbon monoxide in my home. Ends up it was from a vehicle warming up in the garage with the garage door open. Also they told me one of my detectors was defective. So the next day I end up in the ER. I assume they are going to give me electrolytes and some oxygen to begin with, so I sent my husband home rather than make him sit for hours. Immediately when the Dr arrived he started arguing with me and why in the world would I think I have carbon monoxide poisoning. I try to explain and he keeps arguing with me. I explained I googled the signs of carbon monoxide poisoning and felt I had 3 of the symptoms. Then he continues that the detectors would have gone off. The one nearest the garage was defective!!! Why am I having to argue? He determines that I have Covid which was a shock to me. So I keep complaining that I am so week and dizzy and can t I please have some electrolytes? The nurse looked at me and said you already are getting them in that drink you brought in. So then I tried to ask the Dr about treatments for Covid and his curt response was where did you hear anything like that . You need to go home and monitor yourself. If you get worse then come back. So I was given my discharge papers and was not offered help out to my husband at all or even with a wheel chair. Even though I repeatedly told them I was extremely weak! Piss poor medical care from the ER! I will drive to Townsend next time!
Billing is super shady and inconsistent. Went for an outpatient visit, have been sent 5 bills for my short appointment. They keep saying that I have paid all charges, and then a week or so later I get another bill. I just want to pay my dam bills in full! They need to get their billing department together, or at least come to a final decision about how much I owe. Down hundreds out of pocket and counting, and I have no idea how much more I owe, and neither do they.
I agree with the previous commenter- go somewhere else (if you can obviously don t risk traveling if it s a dire emergency). Seriously. They absolutely do NOT care about all human lives (maybe just a select few $$$). Excellent patient care is non-existent (but they sure do look fancy). It is their last priority. I ve been a patient for 21 years. I ve been treated poorly and hurt physically and emotionally for 21 years as well. The staff is very unethical and unprofessional. The ER staff almost killed my son last year because they wouldn t take me seriously. They would NOT listen to me when I was telling them his symptoms (I m a former pediatric nurse .I knew that my son was not in good shape). Turns out that he was in septic shock literally on his deathbed and they life flighted him to another hospital equipped with a pediatric ICU (in the middle of the Covid pandemic- thank goodness there was a bed available. He was in the ICU for a week). It was hard to watch my son suffer for so long because the staff really didn t give a you-know-what. They took their time. They ignored what I said. They did not care. The ER was not very busy that night. Unacceptable (and kind of embarrassing, Helena!) They ve hurt me, but I will NOT allow them to hurt my family again. So, please proceed with caution!
