The food is amazing! It is expensive but they also actually make the food with legitimate ingrediants. The waiting situation was a little confusing and took a while, but I'm sure some of the workers were being trained.

Just had a delicious lunch here. Made even more special by the owner and her staff. I checked the website before we set out and the hours listed were 9-5. When we arrived at 3:22 we were so disappointed that they stop serving lunch at 3pm. We left sad and disgruntled;( only to be chased down and offered lunch) ;)!!! What a pleasant surprise and YUM experience! Even though we extended their work day the staff smiled and even checked in to make sure our choices were exactly as wanted. Bakery treats were the perfect ending. The peanut butter / chocolate torte was recommended and was even better than described! Thank you!! We'll be back ( many times. ) we ve always been happy with our meals but today most especially by the kind consideration of this lovely place;)

The Sandwiches and pastry are the best around. If you care for wine with your food, nice stemware is available for BYOB. Or, have one of their quality coffee or espresso beverages. The porch overlooks French Creek.

I celebrated my graduation this evening in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we had a superb evening and the venue was no doubt one of the reasons for that happy event. The stuff participated in a splendid way, the cuisine was great and my guests were so thrilled. We shall absolutely come back again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

The baked goods are wonderful and the sandwiches are fresh and unique. Try the Pilgrim Sandwich and enjoy the water running under the deck while you eat. Of late, they seem unorganized with no pastries at open on Sunday morning so at 9:30 we have up and just had coffee. A small black of coffee was $3.19? That's more than Starbucks and has quietly persuaded our group to go elsewhere.

Great location and nice bakery/coffee shop. Be sure to check the hours they are open and sometimes when they have music you will need a reservation. There are some great rocks from the french creek behind it you can climb or go further into town where there are trails.

My wife and I occasionally stop in maybe couple times per year while on a bike ride. The food is good but very disappointed by the service. Staff are not particularly friendly, service tends to be very slow. I always leave feeling like it s a chore and bother for the staff to serve us. It has a snotty attitude about the place that desperately needs to change. It s not cheap either which makes me wonder more each time why do I pay so much for bad service with an attitude. I m posting this because it s not a single experience but how we both feel every time we ve been there over several years. We agree at this point not to bother to stop anymore

We have been a couple of times now on fridays when they have Byob and pizzas with live music, and it is so fun! In good weather the deck is beautiful, with the relaxing sound of the creek in the background. Pastries are also delicious!

Excellent food and desserts. Never had a bad meal. Sandwiches, soups and salads are all delicious. Friendly staff. Michael is fabulous and patient with questions...very helpful when placing special orders. Always a pleasant experience. Even the above average sized unisex bathroom is a delight....clean, well stocked with supplies considering how many people are using it and doesn't smell.

My new favorite weekend escape place. Nestled along a flowing creek and large boulders, the back deck is a slice of heaven. The food is delicious and the coffees enjoyable. I can't wait to return.

Very well organised and accessible spot. They provide generous portions and for inexpensive rates. I loved the menu a lot and the staff members were super personal and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this place.

A rare find we stumbled upon by chance. Situated along a road through Pennsylvania countryside clinging on the side of a precipice overlooking the Falls of French Creek. Spectaculer view of a huge bolder filled gully where French creek passes through this quaint bakery offers unique baked goods and a decent lunch, breakfast and brunch. A small place in the late fall and winter unless you can brave the cold on their expansive deck overlooking the creek.

This is a must stop when in town. From the friendly service to the delicious sandwiches, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Make sure you take a fresh pastry or baguette with you when you go.

This is a byob place. Good sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Vegetarian options. Desserts are pricey but outstanding. They have a guitarist on Friday nights, but you better make reservations at least a week in advance for that.

We are camping at french creek state park... tent camping and it's cold. Our choice, I totally understand... so we've heard that the village is cute and nice and we figured we could go check it out get some coffee. The village is tiny... but with the fall leaves shining it's beautiful... everything seemed to be closed and we were there at 10:45. So we stopped into the bakery... while their treats are delicious... Mary is the reason this place gets 2 stars. She looked like we were annoying her.... I'm sorry MARY, we have never been here before we were LOOKING before we ordered anything and I'm so sorry of it inconvenienced you in any way! We will not be back and we will not encourage others to visit.

Late 1800s general store overlooking the Falls at French Creek repurposed as a quality Bakery. I visit for a relaxed coffee and breakfast of toasted apple/walnut bread, tasty croissants which sell out fast, or a large slice of quiche of interesting and complementary ingredients. My coffee and lunch consists of the multigrain bread stuffed with blackforest ham, cheese, tomato, and romaine, with the honey mustard on the side, for mustard quantities vary by the individual. An added treat is the fresh sliced fruit (breakfast) or fresh baby green salad (lunch) on the side for entree-like orders. We have yet to attend the Friday evening homestyle pizza and music events, but friends have said we are missing out, so much so that reservations are required to accommodate capacity Friday nights.

One will find a richness of taste and texture in this Bakery that I have not found in other bakeries across the country. Hand-made quality ingredients have a natural sweetness. Thus, their products are rich in taste, but not overly sweet. Some have said the prices are a little high, but as a home baker of breads, pies, and cookies for charitable events who has costed out ingredients and labor, St Peters Bakery prices are very reasonable. I would recommend the triple ginger, oatmeal, and cowboy cookies, and any of the pies (my blueberry and apple pies are slightly better of course, although the Bakery has excellent variations thereof). The double chocolate cake and the fruit tarts are real crowd pleasers, and friends/relatives ask us to bring more of these when we travel.

I haven't been to St. Peter's since I was in high school, but decided to stop there last weekend when I was in the area with my Father in Law. We walked around a bit, checking out the town, then stopped into this place for a bite to eat.

This place is amazing. The people were great, the food was great... everything was fantastic. Highly recommended!

The Bakery is a cute place with great bread, pastries and some small dishes. My only issue with it is that there s nothing much available for my vegan friends out there. Although most of the bread is vegan, which is nice, hopefully there will be more vegan options in the future.

Sensational lunch. The bread was SUPERB. I had a salad and sandwich and it was unbelievable. Cookies for dessert were perfect. I came here a long time ago...32 years ago. Today it is PRIMO. Stop in and be surprised and pleased.

I have always been a fan of this bakery for years. However, after today's experience, I will not be returning as a loyal patron. When we walked in, I had a mask on, but was disappointed and embarrassed by the immediate rudeness of the employee towards my two guests who arrived without masks and stood at a distance to order. There were no other patrons in the room. I have seen this issue dealt with for months in a variety of ways and places, and was not prepared for such obvious contempt. Disappointing.

We've been frequenting The Bakery for years and absolutely love the food and the ambiance. Can't say enough good things about the baked goods, breads, quiche and salads. Combine that with charm and a delightful view. Recently had the wonderful experience of a great farm to table dinner which was outstanding!

Amazing lunch after hiking at St Pete s. The nitro coffee was smooth and crisp with nice foam head and served in a mason jar glass. We tried 2 sandwiches which were equally amazing and had cookies for dessert. Must try the lavender cookies if they have them! Can t wait to go again!

It was good, got very busy. The breakfast sandwich was decent, with high quality ingredients, but needed seasoning. The home fries were a good mix of white and sweet potato, which was nice. It was more than I would normally pay for such a breakfast, but it was more convenience. We'll go back, but not often, as we'd only go on Sundays when other options aren't available.

This is a great bakery with so many wonderful breads, cookies, pies and specialty desserts. Their cakes are simply amazing. Food, service and atmosphere are all excellent. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Great coffee, baked goods, and service. They have quite the menu of food and pastries, along with all the normal coffeeshop beverages and then some. Love the atmosphere, loved the food, and the staff were super friendly; I'll definitely be returning. Nothing like the cool coffeeshop on a fall day
