It's a pita to park but the arena itself is nice. Good seating with decent comfort level. You can view the ice from anywhere in this stands. They serve craft beer but it's ridiculously expensive so drink at home first.

Take a cab or you'll get stuck in traffic. Security was quick to move people through the lines.

I went to my first lighting game here and have to say it was very nice. A clean and tidy environment with well lit and easy to find restrooms. My only problem was the prices for the event itself which isnt really a good reflection of the rink itself.

Went to a preseason hockey game. Sad to see that the stadium was not full, even after the great season the Lightning had last year. Hopefully when the season starts, more people will support this great team.

Hope you're not over 5ft 10 or have long legs because you will be squished into the worlds smallest seat. You're knees will press hard into the seat in front of you and you have no way to move because of the large cup holders they thought were a great idea to attach to the back of the already tiny walkway. You cannot get up to go to the restroom OR to buy a snack/refreshment without having the entire row stand for your passing.

Every time I come to Amalie I have a great time. Their staff is amazing, they always make you feel welcome. I am an STM for the Lighting so I am there often for the games, but other than the games i.e. concerts, they always make sure you have fun. Also, they have a TON of food options for the Lightning games. Not just boring overpriced concession food...they have that too if you are into that. I am talking about real food vendors that serve really good food at a reasonable price (for a sports event).

Review of The Beach:

Review of The Beach:

What an awesome event! And it was completely free! Huge thanks to the Vinik Foundation for bringing this amazing experience to Tampa! I didn't expect to have so much fun in a ball pit... nor did I expect it to be so physically challenging! The first time I fell, I needed help to get back up, and just walking through the balls was hard! The *shore* with lounge chairs & umbrellas was a nice way to catch my breath.

Due to my kids' work & college schedules, Sunday was really the best day for us to go together. I ordered our free tickets online several weeks before the multi-week event began, and 5pm 8/21 was the only slot still available for a group of 6... That's how popular this event was, sight unseen! Once I realized The Beach Tampa would be closing at 6pm on Sundays, I was concerned our time would be limited. However, worrying was not necessary. At the entrance outside, we queued up to enter precisely at our ticketed time. Then inside, we waited again as staff monitored the number of people inside the actual *beach* area for safety and enjoyment, allowing people to enter as others left. The line moved quickly at this point, but we still weren't able to go in until after 5:30. Luckily, staff had already announced to everyone that even the very last person to enter would get a minimum of 45 minutes to enjoy The Beach.

I really hope The Beach returns to Tampa!

As with most major venues today, the wait to get in is lengthy. Directions to seating once inside is easy to locate. Food and drink prices are outrageous, and if you're not an Alpine climbing super model getting to your seat is a task.

A great hockey place! I'm not a Tampa Bay fan but I have to say this is really a great place to watch a game! Great visibility from all the (cushioned) seats, prefect fans, great atmosphere, for TB fans there is a really big fan shop there as well. Amazing venue.

Came from SWFL to see Lighting vs. Preds. The arena seems dated-the bathrooms were REALLY dated, the food is beyond expensive, and the atmosphere of the crowd for one of these games is LOW energy. You wouldn't have guess that this team was so darn good.

Great experience the concert was terrific & of course the drinks were uber overpriced. My only issue was with the luck of staff . Most people weren't even on the right line entering the facility & God forbid you're searching for the bathroom...
