Welcoming place of worship with a great architecture

Beautiful Cathedral with an expansive park to the side with a gaze, fountain and quiet areas. Summer concerts, movie nights and yoga are held in the park during the summer.

Lovely, inclusive, and non judgemental, so far, amazing music, art, memorials, and people. Much better than St. Micheal's, I found to be judgemental and aggressive. What joy the other church took from telling how and where to pray, St. James gave back thrice, in inclusion and joy.

Wonderful church. We came to see the organ recital this morning organized by UofT and it was amazing! The organist was very talented.

I love gothic architecture and really enjoy contemplating this church, everytime.

Beautiful cathedral: breathtaking stained glass artwork, original wooden seats that are over 100 years old, choir sings with angelic voices. The church is definitely something that you d want to go see. For the architecture and history especially.

Amazing spot on King street, large park, great spot for lunch. Restaurants surround the place.

A large house of worship, with many pews. Open every day for those that need to pray. You can also light a candle for a small donation.

An historic gem in old Toronto. When inside, be sure to pick up the brochure that provides you with "A self guided tour of the Cathedral". Fascinating facts from the brochure: The eagle lecturn at the front symbolises intellect, illumination, and inspiration. It was a common practice to use an eagle lecturn for the reading of the Bible and prayers of intercession in the medieval church.

St. James Cathedral, the cathedral of the Anglican Church in Toronto, the oldest church in Toronto, was built in 1797. The church was built in 1850 and opened on June 19, 1853. It was one of the largest buildings in the city at that time. It was designed by Frederick William Cumberland, a Gothic Revival building.

The stained glass windows of this Cathedral are magnificent, it is a pity not to have a guide to tell the story. It was worth visiting.

Awesome piece of architectural beauty inside and out

This church was an extremely humbling experience. It's absolutely beautiful. Even if you aren't a Christian, I would highly recommend entering just to admire the architecture. I have been here a couple of times now and it's always a quiet, serene, wonderful place to do some self-reflection.

please do not hesitate to gander at the architecture of this Masterpiece. after prayer in the morning, I felt like a new man.

The oldest church in the city of Toronto, surrounded by a beautiful park has a beautiful architecture of many excellent details stained glass, a mandatory stop when visiting the city.

The cathedral is not ancient, but offers a fantastic architectural standpoint, the inside is very clean and well kept and offers great services for anyone who wants to visit.

St James is a welcoming place. Evensong provides a wonderful opportunity to just stop, be quiet, and reflect. The choir is magnificent and makes Evensong a truly transformative experience.

One of the many Gothic style churches in the city. And a very nice one at that.

The interior of the Church was beautiful. The people of the Church are very welcoming and happy.

Good experience however churches should be open 24/7 as it's god place.

Beautiful church! Tucked away downtown, this gothic style church is displaying a beautiful architecture.

Out of the Cold Tuesdays 130 pm till 3 pm. Nice snack bread bank n u can c a nurse downstairs with footcare n clothing donations. Tea n coffee n the vollenteers r great n patient.

A piece of history located in the heart of downtown. The architecture is stunning. Highly recommend if near by. 5 stars

Wow, very beautiful inside and out. it will close early than I thought, so if you wish to come inside, it's better to arrive before 5 PM , so you can browsing the whole building.

Great staff provided a top notch experience with their in depth tour of this place. A place steeped in Toronto history. It's the "Westminster Abbey" of Canada, since it's where the Royal family worships on visits to Toronto.

A beautiful church , it's a great place to checkout and spend some time there. The inside vibe feels like we are in some Time church.
The breathtaking artworks & architecture make the church looks so charming & historic.
