Great concept and place to be. If you do not get a seat in the middle of the back, you are ALWAYS sitting too close to the canvas. But all in all really nice, special and cozy place.

Think about how big the world thinks how small Hollywood is. All the other cinemas show Hollywood, East of Paradise shows the rest

You have been closed during the corona period. On Instagram you tell me that you have made repairs and improvements. I hope that a clock has been erected on both floors below. It has long been needed.

The old cinema keeps up to date with good movies good and peaceful living environment for adults. Good wine by the glass with snacks

We saw the shape of water. The cinema was well stocked and the ventilation in the old building could not keep up, so there was a bad indoor climate. Bad smell and dusty air. I will not come again to see a mainstream movie here.

Only 3 stars because of the cinema hall. Was for a performance Saturday morning. The cafe and sitting areas are fine. Likewise, the toilets are in the basement. On the other hand, the upper floors, where rooms A and B are located, are gradually worn and shabby. The cafe there is closed and there has been no loving hand for a long time. There was dirty and smelled of smoke and old pub. Sal B was certainly not nice either. It was cold and damp and smelled of mold. There was praise with a red lamp, which gave clumsy associations, so you were glad you could not see the hall properly in the dark. The "angels" in the cafe and ticket sale did not seem particularly enthusiastic. There's going to be a radical improvement or I'm afraid of this cinema with the time to shut down. It would be a shame because it is a real piece of Aarhus culture history.

Lovely charm and good movies. The money pointers will be happy if you can keep yourself from time to time.

East of Paradise is an indispensable and enduring pillar and stone pillar of Aarhus cultural life. No matter when you come, there are always plenty of exciting, narrow films from around the world to choose from. It is a great pleasure to see that they are now expanding.

East of Paradise is a nice cinema that has many movies for a narrow audience. Several of the movies do not appear at all in the big places. Here are several small slots and some even with sofa rows that make the experience really enjoyable. Here is a nice temperature and a reasonable sound level. A nice place that you can not find many places anymore, unfortunately.

Cozy. More to the high cultural side than typical cinemas (neither meant especially positive or negative). My biggest complaint is that they could not serve lukewarm popcorn or postmix cola, which in my opinion is a must in a cinema, high culture or not.

Very nice cinema - can be clearly recommended. The premises only have a charm that is typical of such older klenodier in Aarhus. There are chills for the details and you can get both coffee and smaller meals. We sat in a hall that was very small, but that was part of the experience.

The site offers all kinds of films, commercial, underground and indie. Great events with combinations of lectures, movie performances and a little for the palate. Almost always part of local cultural events. The building also houses one of the city's hip nightclubs. Unique and extremely worthy of preservation in the Aarhus cultural image.

Nice cinema with quirky and different movies - clearly my favorite cinema in town. However, I think it is a little expensive at times (especially when they show reruns of older films, which cost almost the same as new feature films)

Clearly the nicest cinema in Aarhus. An experience just to get there due to the slightly worn building and an artsy feel. Shows all the narrow films that do not show up in the city's two major cinemas. The reason it doesn't get the last star is that there is a little lack of image quality. It is annoying to see pixels on the canvas. Maybe because they get some DVD quality home movies that don't scale so well for big canvas

Not happy with this place, we sat inside floor c where it smells and it was so dusty that it was mildly disgusting and clumsy to sit in the room.

Then we wanted to bring a bottle of water into the room, we could see that it was the cheap bottle of water down from the net which they just sold on for 16 kroner per piece.
(it costs between 3-5 kroner in net, with a mortgage)
It's perfectly okay to make money but it seems a little too greedy.

The screen in the hall was also very small.

The other cinemas in Aarhus are far better!
