Worst experience with the child delivery unit and ...

Worst experience with the child delivery unit and the entire process! Very rude nurses only a dew on night staff even treat you like a human. Do not respect your rights as a mother and I recommend anyone to drive a few extra miles to deliver your baby and enjoy your stay after a great moment in life! If I could give zero stars I would!

Outdoor trail area and outdoor seating by cafeteria are lovely. The water was a nice stress relief. Staff was exceptionally nice and caring. From the people monitoring visitors to the doctors treating patients they were all helpful and nice. The cancer care nurses are rockstars!

My review is for a visit to the ER for rabies vaccinations. My family all had to get shots after a bat was in our house, and we chose St. Clare since it was the closest hospital. I called ahead to the ER and they were very nice. They checked that their pharmacy has doses on hand (they did), and they even told me the waiting room wasn't crowded if I wanted to come right away. Upon arrival, we were checked in and seen by a nurse very quickly. All together, three nurses worked with my family, including a head nurse. We were there over 3 hours for 4 shots, which was unfortunate, BUT the nurses were very thorough and made sure they administered the shots correctly for each family member (including minors), as it differs by weight. They don't administer rabies shots very often, so it was important that they took their time to do it correctly. The after-care instructions were also detailed and helpful, and the head nurse (Jerry) even called me later that day to check on us. I was very impressed with the service and care my family received.

After spending 6 hours in the ER, the thing I went in for the doctor wouldn't even get tested for because he said that I couldn't possibly have that issue. Not sure how he knew that since another doctor told me that's what I needed to go get tested for. Unprofessional doctor for sure. It was 3 am when they finally met me leave after the whole er was empty and no one had been in my room for well over 2 hours with no one checking in on me. I will never go back there again nor let any of my family members go either. Complete waste of a night. I will still have to go get tested somewhere else.

I went into the ER today and was treated excellent. The Nurses in the front that checked me in where super nice and The doctor in the back that seen me was very caring, great listener and very straight forward with the treatment. I ve had issues in the past few years, but as I reviewed before they had made a lot of changes and where moving in the right direction. They have made so many changes for the better in Staff and Medical professionals, This would be my first place to visit if I ever have an issue again. Thank you guys for the hard work!

I want to give a shout out the 4th floor neurologist nurses! Especially Marizela. She was straight up honest and very open with me as my mother was a stroke patient there. I was also very impressed with the young neurologist taking care of my mother. He seemed very thorough and intelligent and compassionate.

I went tonight around 6pm by 10pm I was still not seen. They lectured me about leaving against medical leave even though I left because it was a 10+ hr wait. I overheard a lady with a newborn and toddler being told no she could not have both children with her even though the newborn is breastfed. Terrible hospital and terrible staff. Do not go here if you are in need of help or in any serious pain. I'm home suffering because they wanted to take their sweet time

I was in a car accident on March 17th and went to St Clare Hospital to get examined. I warned the nurses right from the beginning I am a hard stick to find. I said it s not your fault but usually three nurses have to come in here and try to find one of my veins . They did not listen to me and proceeded to stick me over seven times. In my arms and hands. It wasn t bad enough that I was just in a car accident, my car flipped in mid air and fell into a ditch...and then I had nurses cracking jokes saying next time you come in here make sure you re hydrated . I couldn t even send a text message on my phone because my arms were so sore. That added on an extra week of recovery time, until I could get back to work, and I m a hairstylist so that was really hurt business. After the seventh stick they finally brought in an ultrasound machine to find my veins and this is around six nurses later. They finally brought in a professional. It was so painful I almost wanted to leave and go elsewhere. So bizarre and unprofessional.

A few months ago, my father was flown for a possible seizure. While my mom was only able to wait in the car, the staff were diligent in keeping us informed. The ER doctor and nurse caring for him made sure to call me and answered all of my questions as well as telling me how to care for him. Thank you for your service.

Had a very negative labor and delivery experience ...

Had a very negative labor and delivery experience here December 2019. Once I arrived at 5:30 in the morning I was treated like a bother to the charge nurse working in triage. She acted as if I wasn't in active labor and didn't need to check me. After an hour of being hooked up to a monitor I finally asked "so am I having consistent contractions" and she said yes every 4 to 7 minutes but still acted as if I shouldn't be there. I ended up being admitted and having my child later that day. The birthing process and labor were great. The postpartum care was terrible. (I did speak with the Director about all of my concerns.) I switched nurses several times and was not given 1:1 patient care as described in my hospital tour. I was made to feel incompetent by the lactation specialists and broke down in tears more than once. I was without pads in my room for a few hours. I begged my doctor as well as my daughter's pediatrician to discharge me the next day due to how bad my experience was. Thankfully, both doctors agreed. My child's feet print were not taken after birth and no one even told me their was a folder of information to fill out. I had to bring her back to the hospital a week later to have this done. Since this delivery-I am still fighting with the billing department. They billed the wrong insurance for my daughter and only contacted me once by mail because they entered my phone number incorrectly at the hospital. I called the billing department in April to resolve this and they only resolved my portion of the bill by adding my secondary insurance. So in the meantime, since not receiving any further bills thought this was corrected. In October, I checked my credit report and what do you know? They sent this past due payment to a collection agency without even reaching out to me. Today is my fourth time reaching out since October to correct the issue and no one has even sent this bill to the correct insurance this far. I was a first time mom and accepted this patient care but I know now this is unacceptable and will continue to share my experience in hopes that no one else will be made to feel this way especially when this should have been the best time of my life.
