The program selection here for babies is really great. I have been to the bilingual read aloud and the regular read aloud as well as the puppet story time. The children's area is very engaging and the selection of books is also really good. I have always participated in the summer read which has a lot of good coupons from local businesses as incentive to read. The best part of the library is the original section of the library. There are drawings of the local area on the walls from the 30s as part of the New Deal which was really exciting for the history nerd in me.

Best library I have been to yet in terms of accessibility to guest computers. Ultra modern.

I love this library!! They have a great selection,Amazing staff that are very helpful, fun classes and activities happening all the time for all ages. The story lady's are wonderful!! My eldest loves the movie night's hanging with friend's at the library they have popcorn,pizza, drinks and lots of fun. They have free online tutor, S.A.T testing practice, free online high school , free online courses to further your career, a seed library for gardeners lot's of adult programs and tons of resources for summer fun with your kid's like the passports to adventure!!

I like this library...however I cannot understand why movies are a part off their story time. I take my child to the library for books not television. I've been to a character meet/greet and "story time" with movies... it's a shame because the story teller was good.

After sitting in the library, for over four hours, I was told to remove myself from the table I was at because this particular table is for teenagers only. I looked around at more than four empty tables for these teenagers that were in the library on a Wednesday at 2:30 pm on a school day. As a tax payer to the city of St. Charles, I m just curious as to where can I sit at the PUBLIC library?

We love our library. They provide a great selection of books on site and are part of a co-op so almost any book can get there in just a few days. The children's area is welcoming and away from the adult section so the noise is contained.

I needed help at the library today. I got exceptional help from Alice one of the associate there. I would of totally been lost. She saved a lot of time for the day. Thank you Alice

It s a great library and has a lot of great classes!

As I walk up to check out the portable WiFi that was on hold for me, the guy behind the counter was picking his nose and eating it. I almost threw up. Is everything in this library covered in a thin film of this guy's mucus? Very unprofessional to be sitting there eating snot when you're supposed to be working.

We love the library! Something for everyone. My kids (2 and 4) love the children's area in the basement, which has a fish tank, interactive toys, tables with games, and of course everything else you would expect to find in the library. Personally I enjoy putting items on hold through there easy website which is apart of several other libraries and then when they are ready I walk to my spot on the shelf pick up my items and with the self checkout I am in and out in less than 5 min. They also have a teen area which is in the loft and lots of other resources as well. Both my kids have signed up for programs provided by the library and they have all been great. They occasionally have special exhibits and activities as well. We visited a train exhibit that was going on that my kids love a few months ago. If you live in Saint Charles and are not using the library you are missing out.

Scanning and faxing are available as well although I haven't used those options in quite awhile.

Not only can one check out books, but DVDs, CDs and board games are available too. Again, not something I've done recently, so an expired library pass (like myself) may need to be updated but I'm not certain about that.

I have been a resident of St. Charles for 25 years and have always received outstanding customer service and assistance from the super staff at SCPL. Keep up the great work!

Movies are available here before REDBOX, great kids level...if you need to go #2, the bathrooms are clean.

The kind people behind the desk told me they didn't have a witchcraft section. I would given this establishment a 8/5 stars, but they don't have any material on how to counterfeit money.

I can't say enough good things about the St.Charles Public Library. They have wonderful classes and activities. The staff is always patient, friendly and willing to help. The only negative is that the facility is older and smaller than many others in the area.
