Nice walk through some nature and a variety of wildlife enclosure. Much to learn there as well!

I have been going here since I was young and it has never lost how amazing it is! It is educational, fun, and you can tell the animals are well cared for. Definitely something you should see!

A bit pricey but some of cost goes to helping conservation. Takes about 1-2 hrs to walk through it all.

Very nice place, animals are well taken care of. Fun for adults too! We walked couple of trails after we saw the animals. Place is very clean, picnic are was closed due to Covid.

This place was like a hiking trail with huts to stop and see animals along the was. The animals are all native to New England. Staff was very nice and my two young girls had a blast looking at the animals and doing all the interactive things they had.

We love it here. Even for small children it's great to let them explore and play.

Wonderful place for kids and adults! Beautiful wildlife, well maintained, easily navigable. I'd buy a season pass and go every morning if I lived closer.

Great little science center. One of our "must-do's" for our summer visits to Squam. We live not far from a much larger science center in Massachusetts, but we always go to this one when we're in the area, and it never disappoints. I suggest a membership if you are a regular to the area. Even if you only visit twice; it's worth it.

Friendly staff for our visit, and I thought it was a great mix of hiking, animals, and activities throughout the park. I took my 6yo and we easily spent two hours. The playground in the middle of the animal trail was a great break, and a great playground in itself.

Amazing place, with a lot of interesting things and executions, mine 5 and 7 years enjoyed it as well we.

Amazing my daughter had a blast only thing i wasnt impressed with is all of the windows to see into enclosures were really dirty and my child kept trying to put her face on the window because she is little and dont understand the finger prints and dirty stuff are germs but besides that great staff great prices we had a blast

It's not just a science Center it also has local animals throughout the woods. Like a zoo.

Well maintained nature center. Animals in good health. Only bad thing, still fenced in.

My cousin was able to reserve a cart to drive to see different types of animals and watch a show talking about different types of animals. The first show was about a skunks. Later on the show was about Pellegrini's hawks.

Great place to take the family for a day trip. Lots to see, beautiful area with some unique animals & very friendly staff. Good volunteer opportunities several times per year including hiking, fall clean up & more. Also have camps (day, some overnight, week long or longer) during school vacation, etc. Nice place.

Lots to see and do. The animals seemed very board, small boring enclosures for the animals. But the animals seemed healthy.

We enjoyed our visit to Squam Lakes Nature Center. The exhibits were informative and animals were out and about. Nice clear trails to walk. The kids interactive play area and barn was impressive. The gift shop was a bonus-with many books and misc items to purchase.
We were interested in the lake cruise but unfortunately it was not available due to school groups on the day of our visit.

Great place to visit with kids of all ages! Everything is very hands on, there's so much to see and do, all in the peaceful serenity of the great outdoors that boast what New Hampshire has to offer.

My daughters had so much fun. I remember going as a kid. Very educational but entertaining as well. They can't wait to go back.

I just love this place! It is slightly off the beaten path but easy to locate. Plan on spending a couple of hours here to learn about the local wildlife habits , habitat, and food. And , best of all, meet that local wild life in its natural setting.! This business is part of the membership chain of regional zoos and science museums so honors your membership to others around the country for free admission or reduced cost admission to here. I would plan on at least 2-3 hours here although it could be covered (without small children in a bit over an hour). Walk ways are generally paved and handicapped accessible as are the buildings that are dedicated to species or habitat education.

this is a great place. very educational for a wide range of ages as well as fun. i went as a kid and loved it and this year i was able to bring my toddler this year at least to see the animals and she loved it too.

I love this place! We try to visit once a year when we are in NH camping. Great staff, amazing activities for the kids, it truly is a wonderful jewel.

Beautiful decor and well laid out. Shop windows are probably a good idea but we went on a cold and rainy day; they were ambushed on both sides which hid all. Impossible to see anything.

Fantastic display of New England wildlife- bears, wild cats, owls, wolves, mountain lions- all alive and running around. Very educational.

This is superb for children. A top choice and it just keeps getting better. The current dinosaur exhibit is just one example. Where else can you bring the family to see a mountain lion, bobcat, fox, bear in a relatively natural environment? For a respite, there are indoor exhibits and an outdoor play area. No restaurant, just a very simple snack bar, so consider packing a picnic lunch. There are lots of picnic tables. Great place for kids!!

If you get a chance to go, definitely go! You won't regret it. It is wonderful. I can't wait to go back!!!

Beautiful place, was disappointed there wasnt a moose, however the grounds are immaculate of feces.

Went here with my son's class on a field trip....was very interesting and educational...great place...the nature walk was great to see all the various animals they have there.

I liked this place, but $40 for 2 adults was a little pricey in the end... It didn't seem like it was worth it. I thought it was $14.50 per person based on the prices on their website.

I was very disappointed in my recent visit to squam lakes science center. Have been several times before and had a great experience. About third of exhibits not open. No hands on open. I get it it because of pandemic but very over priced for what was previously available. No picnic areas. paid 25 for adult and 10 for child for about a 1.5 hour visit. Recommend not to go until they open fully.

The children did enjoy all the attractions but we think it is too expensive for the value back. Too few live animals.

Went with my granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren. Had a great time

Just came back from a five-day vacation in New Hampshire and Squam Lakes was definitely the highlight of our trip!

Informative displays, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of wildlife made for a great time. I'm an avid nature photographer and was able to get some amazing photos here. A ton of fun for the entire family and highly recommended!

Like walking in a zoo with almost no animals...mainly pictures and explanations.
Good maybe for elementary school kids - doesn't worth the effort and cost for a family. We were expecting more nature and animals walking around and not just exhibitions. The plastic Dinosaurs were... well maybe something exciting for 5YO kids...
Place was clean and people were nice.
A lot of mosquitoes in the forest side. We just wanted to go away.

We go here once a year and always love it. My son has been going since he was 2 and gets something out of it every year. It's a great little home and we love to learn about the animals.
