SQecial has everything from quirky kitsch to incense and books to kitchenware. I don't know how they fit so much stuff into one place! Staff are very helpful and the whole store has such a chill vibe. Definitely check it out on your next trip to Lexington.

Really quirky and a little bit of the hippie culture in the 21st century. Counter culture books, funky jewelry and toys. Everything smells of incense.

This is one of my favorite places in Lexington. It is a collection of the coolest stuff, most of which you won't find anyplace but here. From incense to kooky mugs and socks to odd Japanese candy and some really pretty scarves, jewelry, trinkets, etc... they have it all. We go every year for stocking stuffers and other interesting yule gifts for the folks in our life who appreciate unique.
You should definitely head out to sQuecial if you have no idea what to buy someone because you are sure to find something there.

sQecial Media is an amazing store with a large variety of mystical items not to mention a very wide array of other misc items. You can find all sorts of items such as crystals, candles, incense, tarot cards, wands, altar cloths, religious statutes, new and used books, herbs, and runes just to name a few examples. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and willing to assist you any way they can. They are very knowledgeable about any merchandise in the store and seem to be able to answer any question you may have. I honestly love this store and would recommend it to anyone whose looking for mystical items or anyone whose just out searching for an interesting place to look around. Have gone here for years since I was a teen when visiting Lexington (30 years) and it is still as special as it was then. Took my 8yr old daughter and she loved it too.

A lot of interesting stuff here. While the appeal is certainly targeted towards hippies it really is a place for everyone! I picked up a couple cool architecture books, and finger hands to go on my motorcycle. But the person I was with was able to get some sage and a amber ring; something I'm not very intrested in, but they sure were!

Good prices for the most part. Also lots of cool stuff. Worth checking out for sure.

I really wish I had a store like this in the town I live in. Even if you don't plan on buying anything it's a great place to look peruse and take in the unique vibe the place gives off.

This store has been here my whole life. It is a Kentucky spot for sure. If you life in lexington you been here for sure. I grew up going to this head shop with my parents who went with there parents. This is best place to find that unique item for the kitchen for cheap. Like a bottle opener or a tea set or a stash box. Even random books weather reading or coloring.

I can't afford to buy anything here but man do I love everything about this store.

Lots of diverse products and a very cool atmosphere. The only downside for me is the heavy incense smell throughout the store. If you have allergies or are just sensitive to strong smells, be forewarned.

Hipster kind of place. They've got a bunch of books, mugs and teapots, smoking pipes and related items, tapestries, random trinkets, incense, origami kits, etc.

My favorite place....My mom and dad took me there in 1975, when they first discovered it, so yeah, guess I 'Grew Up' with this place.....Memories. At the time, the owner and her husband operated it, until he passed away, now she runs it with some awesome staff, btw. I've introduced my children to this place, so, yeah, it's a family affair, lol.

Btw, they have a little bit of everything thing, for young and old.... Old School toys, incense, smoking products/supplies, candles, gems, decorative art, jewelry, crystals, room decor, and, well, BOOKS(on any lifestyle. So check them out! Tell them Tanya and Charm(the Crystal Queens....since we buy so much when we go lol) sent you. You won't be disappointed!!

They're located on the top floor, in the 2-story red brick building besides the McDonald's on S. Limestone. They have a small parking lot in back of the building, so DO NOT park in McDonald's parking lot. McDonald's WILL have you towed.

It's been a while since I've visited KY but i love this shop. It always had what i was looking for, with friendly folk behind the counter, and a wide variety of stuff. That hasn't changed since I've been gone I'm happy to say

I noticed the pride flags in the windows when I grabbed McDonald's and took a picture. As i rounded the corner one of the workers told me they had a sale to commemorate National Coming Out Day (everything 20% off!) The environment was amazing and they all had their own stories to tell! They showed me anything I was looking for! The only downside was definitely the closeness of everything. However, they used their space surprisingly well for a store of random gizmos and gadgets. Definitely will return!

The closest thing to a new age or metaphysical store I have found in Lexington. Extremely open minded people, a wide variety of products catering to all religions and spiritual beliefs, as well as a friendly and helpful staff. Give them lots of love!
