Spirit Home Care Review

Sinply the best nurses! Someone always answers the phone right when I call unlike other places where I d have to call multiple times and stay on hold! Highly recommend.

When my daughter left the hospital after a heart transplant my husband and I were terrified. We felt ill equipped to care for her. Our nurses from Spirit were so knowledgeable and understanding. They spend hours in our home talking us through her care and calling doctors as needed. We could not have made it through without them.

I had a major surgery over Thanksgiving and my incision was badly infected. I had two other home health companies before this one. The first company never sent a nurse and the next company sent a nurse but she seemed like I was getting on her nerves. I started doing research myself and call Spirit. They answered all of my questions and were kind. The nurse came to my house the next day. She called my doctor with me from my house and made a plan to get my wound better. I saw a nurse from Spirit for a few months. My wound was improving by the third week. I think the nurse saved my leg. Great people here. Thank you! If I ever have to use a nurse again I will call Spirit.

This is a bad company. My wife was having an issue with the nurse complaining and making her do things that hurt my wife. My wife called administrator and spoke to them. Where they decided to change nurses and send lpn when needed. My wife received mean and threatening text from the nurse saying she would leave that she wouldn't come out to do the job. A week after my wife talked to administrator. They discharged her without even calling or telling her. She had an appointment for the nurse to come. And when my wife asked nurse when she be there. The nurse told her to call supervisor. My wife called administrator and for 3 days they were in a meeting all day long no breaks no nothing. Could not even call her back. Finally my wife got a voicemail that said she was discharge and they wouldn't explain or even talk to her or me. If you are thinking about using them go find a better company. They don't care about anyone but themselves. You never called you don't ever explain anything you are not a good company and your staff is rude abusive and mean. Your staff is very unprofessional. You didn't even have the common courtesy to call back. No one should ever use you as a home health care facility. Unless they like being treated disrespectfully.

While traveling I had car accident while in the Cincinnati area. I was taken to the University of Cincinnati directly following the car accident. After admission, I tested Covid positive. I found myself stranded four states away from my family with Covid. UC gave me a list of home care companies and I selected three. I was informed Spirit was the only company that would provide care for me since I was Covid positive and staying in a hotel until I was cleared to return to my family. The nurse, Jenny that came out was so compassionate and through. I could not have gotten through without her. She even prayed with me when I requested. My therapist, Joe was so patient with me and all the questions I had about recovery. Jenny gave me masks, which I was so thankful for. Thanks for all you do!

The staff was so considerate and professional. I was so glad to know I had them to take care of my dad when I could not. I make arraignments for my dad's care and they kept me informed. They staff when out of the way to see my dad at a time I could be available as well. Lori was a great therapist. I always recommend this agency to anyone who will listen. My dad has had home health for a lot of years and this was the first time I was ever happy with the way he and my family was treated.

My husband has been a patient of this place for a lot of years until he passed. Our nurses became like family to us. I could not have gotten better nurses than Debbie or Megan if I picked them out myself. They were always respectful of my house and property. The girls in the office sent me a card when they heard my husband went home to be with The Lord. God bless

I am so glad we chose this homecare agency, they were so thorough and Crystal the patient coordinator was very kind, helpful and very professional. I would highly recommend them!

Worst home health company . Nurse Bobbie does as she please don't follow Dr orders. They send nurse out to home and just to bill insurance company .

A nurse came out to see my son for a visit a couple months back and was here for two hours teaching us about his medications and his health. She called the doctor and ask lots of questions for us. Each time she came she was like that - spent a lot of time with us and answered all our questions. She gave us her number so we could text her with questions even. We didn t even have this good of treatment at the hospital. Would rather have this nurse at home then go to the hospital. Thanks for the help and keep telling everyone we know about how great our nurse was.

Highly recommend Spirit Home Care for you or a loved one! The nurse was always on time and took great care of my mother after she was discharged. Very helpful with answering questions and...added bonus...was very nice to our dog!

If you have a high risk case, this is not your agency. You are in need of a stronger provider on a nursing and agency level.

Our family was so blessed to have the nurses of Spirit and staff at Spirit. The nurses and therapists go above and beyond to assist with my wife. A couple days ago a member of the office staff spent over an hour with our family explaining benefits and making a long term plan for our family member. They were very patient with us.

Great nurses! I loved all the support I got. I wish I didn t need to have a nurse at my house, but I am glad I have the help I need from Kristy!

I am happy to report my mom has made a full recovery after a nightmare surgery 100% thanks to our nurses from this company. She was sent home from the hospital with a nasty post op wound and IV medication. We had a team of nurses from Spirit that saw her every day. Thankful for the care she received and I know she was would have recovered without them!

Our family would have been lost if not for the nurses of Spirit and staff at Spirit. We have had care from them on and off for years. Each time we get the same nurses and therapist without issue. Last week two office staff spent over an hour with our family explaining benefits and making a long term plan for our family member. We had so many questions and were never rushed. I had major surgery and needed Home Health Care. I had Chris and LeAnn for Occupational therapy and Candie was my nurse. All 3 of them were very courteous, knowledgeable and prompt. They were honestly concerned about my health and well being. I made a pretty speedy recovery thanks to them and God. I would use them again if I ever need Home Health again.

My aunt recently received services from Spirit Homecare and this is the only place I d ever recommend for in home care services. From the phone calls from the patient coordinator Crystal providing her personal number for our needs, all the way to the nurses always being polite and confirming scheduled visits. I really enjoyed all the staff. They really are very professional and fabulous.

My brother was shot several times and did not have insurance and this company sent a nurse for free. Very blessed to have them.

Been having a nurse from this outfit for the past year for my wife. They send a nurse to the house every couple of days to help with the cancer chemo. Nurses here are good people. They have never charged me a dime. It s nice to work with people who aren t trying to get all the money they can from us. God bless

Nurse came when she was suppose to come and did what she was suppose to do. She answered my questions and called my doctor when I needed her to.

This company gave my mom services at no charge when she was discharged from the hospital with IV medication. Her health insurance lapsed and we were a bit desperate to find care. Spirit came to her home several times a week for several weeks without any charge. Jenny was her nurse and we could not have ask for a more caring and compassionate nurse!

We used Spirit's Hospice for my sister in law right before she passed. It was a hard time for the family since my sister in law lives in Cincinnati and we all live in other parts of the country. My husband and I were impressed that the two nurse managers Dexta and Jenn faced timed with us during my sister in laws admission since we could not be there in person. We spend a couple of hours on face time talking to Dexta and Jenny about medications and how we could keep my SIL at home. At one point they got the doc on face time as well and all talked together.

We had everything we needed for her the very next day. They delivered a hospital bed and bags of supplies. No one knew at the time but it was the last couple days of my SILs life.

We got in the night she passed. We had a nurse and the pastor with us all night that night. Dexta and Jenn were with all night until 6:30am in the morning when she died. They just let us laugh and cry.

The pastor still checks on us to make sure we feel ok as we can. Jenn and another nurse came to the service. We got a nice flowers from the company that said they were thinking about us. Double gold stars for these girls.

I can t give enough praise to my nurse! I had two nurses from this company after I had my last child. I had an emergency c section with an incision that couldn t be completely closed before leaving the hospital. My nurse met me the day after I came home and walked me through complicated care. I had a nurse several times a week until I was confident to take care of myself. I just recently referred my aunt. They do a really good job!

This company is wonderful. The nurse that came to my house was very caring and treated me with great professionalism. I will definitely recommend them to anyone.

I am a new client, i must say this company right on, staff members, are awesome. u call them and get a wealth of information. I have a hurse from this company and she really makes you feel comfortable, and she is very detailed in her notes. I would say, she is a great asset to the company.

Spirit helped my dad after his surgery. We never dealt with a sick family member until this situation and had no idea what to expect. This was one of the only companies that accepted dad s insurance and agreed to see him more that a couple of weeks. We had a couple of different nurses and he was seen almost every day for three months. We could not have ask for better service

Spirit started taking care of my mom after her cancer diagnosis. Those nurses were my angels. I lived across the country from my mom when she was diagnosed. My dad had just passed the year before. Mom lives in a rural area which makes getting her the care she needs even more complicated. While I was moving across the country to be close to mom, her nurse from Spirit saw her twice a day. The nurse gave me her personal number and let me call her as much as I needed for an update and never made me feel bad. She never made me feel like my mom was a burden. Thank you for the work you do.

This company took great care of my Auntie after her stroke. The therapist was professional and compassionate for my auntie and her condition. The nurse was always so kind when my auntie baked her pies. The nurse told me privately she could not accept gifts so she always just thanked auntie and I came up with a way to sneak them out of the house.

The therapist helped my dad learn how to walk again after his stroke. He always answered my call anytime I had a question about my dad. He was such a blessing to my family. My mom passed right after my dad had his stroke and the therapist pushed dad to keep going. He was kind and we will always hold a special place our hearts for this company. Kia is the best! The nurse was very gentle with dad and did not mind that he is a grumpy old man set in his ways. If you have a nurse from this company ask for Nina!

Spirit Homecare took care of my mother for several years. At the end of her life Spirit Hospice provided hospice in our home. We were able to have the same nurses in home health and hospice. Our family loves Triana and Jessica. We did not even know we could have hospice at home for mom until Jen told us about the hospice program. Jen saved my mom from dying at a hospital. Jen spent hours in our home answering all of our questions. She answered my calls in the middle of the night when I was worried about mom. Jen, Triana, and Jessica were here the night mom died. They were so loving and thoughtful.
Jen hand delivered flowers from the team after mom passed. We have told everyone how great this company is. They were such a blessing to our family. Thank you Jen, Triana, and Jessica for the way you loved our mom.

When my dad was admitted a few months ago, the ladies in the office were so helpful and caring with the type of care he needed. They sent out a wonderful nurse who is so kind. Nurse Bobbie is such a wonderful person while caring for my dad. God bless her and this amazing company.

I can t say enough about the extraordinary staff at spirit. The nurses that visited my mother were so professional and respectful to her and her home. The nurses were very gentle and always made my mom feel more than comfortable during their visit. We were very blessed to have such wonderful people during her care.

The staff here really cares and goes the extra mile. Trustworthy home aids that are efficient and well educated in there skill set. I am writing this review due to exceptional service provided to my brother, Mike W. We have been through 3 other Home Health Care providers thus far. Spirit Home Care has been wonderful. My brothers nurse is Jen and there are no words to describe her, other than awesome! She has been relentless in trying to help my brother under much adversity. She answered my calls after hours and on weekends which is way beyond her scope of duty. Her caring heart and compassion for her clients is second to none. You can tell Jen loves what she does, as well as loves the wonderful Organization she represents. If you find yourself or someone you love in need of Home Care, please call Spirit.
