Great customer service. And amazing cookies. Decent food

Come here whenever I am in Boston. Well worth the traffic.

Not to be missed if you are in the Massachusetts or Rhode Island area. Owner happened to be at location we visited, and he was pleasant and friendly. Not sure what to get, try the Texas Ranger Dog, Cheesy Buffalo Dog, or the St. Bernard Dog and of course, some Junkyard Fries,

We've just been into Spike's and must say what an awesome hot dog shop. A very friendly chilled out atmosphere and the food is top notch! The staff are most friendly and appreciated our feedback. Highly recommended, we'll be returning for sure. It's a pity that some of the venues on the same street not able to afford the same hospitality as we have experienced at Spike's!

Hot dogs were okay, the bread was a weird choice. Felt like a meal I would make at 3 in the morning. Wings were gross, I had the Hot BBQ, I ate 2/7 and already felt a little nauseous. Fries were the best and they were alright. Do not really recommend.

Soooo expensive and the owner talks to the employees kinda harsh. One young man junior is very kind and always pleasant

I don t usually write restaurant reviews but their junkyard dog and cheese fries are amazing some of the best in the city. A must have if you re visiting Boston.

AFAIC Reviews have to consider multiple aspects of the experience, not just the food!

Curly Fries - ten out of five stars. I come here just for these.

Everything else I've had here - three or four stars out of five. The other food I've had, (chicken and burgers) is all okay. Nothing to write home about. But it does pairs pretty well with the curly fries, which really brings everything up a notch.

Service - Two out of Five stars. Always have a hard time placing my order. Sometimes I call to place an order and never get through. Okay, maybe it's busy? Every time I'm in the restaurant though, I'm the only person in there. I know they probably aren't with a customer, why don't they answer?

Finally, I figured it out on a kind of late night a couple weeks ago. After numerous phone calls going unanswered. (About 7 calls over 30 minutes) I made it to the restaurant and placed my order in person. After I was done the employee was making my food. (You might be able to imagine- I ordered the curly fries so they were simply waiting as they cooked in the fryer) While they were waiting, the phone rang. I expected to see them ignore it. Or answer it. Instead, they simply picked it up and then immediately hung it up! Literally no greeting, or words uttered at all!

No wonder I can't ever get through with a phone call! If you're walking by and want some fries, or are sitting at home and can order online it's probably worth it. Not safe to order online when I'm driving across Allston though...

Will definitely keep eating curly fries.

Ordered the Southern Dog, Pizza Dog, Hey Now and 57 Chevy. Everything was tasty. All hotdogs are 100% angus beef! Will visit again soon.

The BEST Hot dogs ANYWHERE!! They even have veggie hot dogs and other non-hot dog menu items. Their veggie dogs ARE vegan!

I've been going here for a very long time and the food is amazing. Also the owner, I assume, is very nice.

Good late night food. Menu consists of a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and fries. They have curly fries here! Nice touch with a handwashing sink in the seating area for clean up after eating. Good for a quick late night snack after drinks.
