Had a private course for adults, Tamara was very kind, patient and motivating, I have already recommended her and will book a course with her again next year :) Thanks and regards!
We sent our son to the children's ski school. The teachers are super nice and do their job well. The infrastructure with the children's area is absolutely great. A lunch break is also included. There is a star deduction because there are a lot of children per teacher, sometimes. around 10 children per teacher.
Booked for our 7 year old son all day including lunch care / meal. Our son was able to learn everything at lightning speed, because the children's level of learning is respected at all times and the infrastructure is perfect. There is a star deduction because the school has not yet arrived in 2020. Today there are so many great ways to address and communicate with customers beforehand. I generally felt a little under-informed. I get an answer to all questions in terms of content, but you have to ask proactively:
1. Where do I register?
2. Where do I meet the teacher (Which flag and which magic carpet is the right one for my child. Unfortunately this is not understandable on the map.
3. When and where do I pick up my child?
4. What was today and what is tomorrow
Nice snowboard instructors and always in a good mood, also learned a lot. Gladly again!
Everything worked great from booking to class. Will be back next season!
Valentin is the coolest and best ski instructor !!! Thank you very much for teaching me how to ski !! I started as a beginner on Monday and won the race today !!!! Thank you, thank you dear Valentin! All the best from Lea
I never skied 3 weeks ago, but now thanks to Calum, I feel quite confident on the slopes . Calum's measured , patient and calm approach helped me onto the skis from the day one and allowed me to get that confidence very quickly. Highly recommended.
I think it's very great in the ski school because all the teachers are really nice and funny and you can learn a lot and it is fun to learn !!! I like to come here and I'm always happy !!!!
Not recommended, there are better ski schools in Davos
I can no longer recommend it. EXTREMELY bad experience for the first time in 10 years. Snowboard course Blue Prince booked with two excursions. The two excursions also take place only for registrations from Monday to Friday. First of all, after 2 days the course was over for one day because there were too few registrations, but it is not mentioned in the registration that the course only takes place if at least four people take part. The second problem is hidden costs which are not mentioned in advance. For an excursion, an additional lift ticket is required, which costs CHF 25. Since the excursion lasts all day, people eat on the mountain and it is recommended to take 20 francs with food. That's okay, but the hidden costs refer to the lift ticket. In addition, the 20 francs that are recommended are not enough! So far I was very satisfied. Now is the 6th course about the snow sports school, but we have never been so pulled off. Nothing is mentioned in advance, nor does the minimum number. The snowboard instructors are great, but I would recommend not booking there anymore!
To the answer: The fair reimbursement for one day is likely to be expected if the course is canceled by your side. Otherwise it would be a rip off.
Great ski school. Our daughter (6 years old) first had a three-day private course on Parsenn (that is really expensive, but good) and then a one-week group course (Red Prince) on Bolgen. Was great; great teachers, well organized, a lot of fun, and sensible handling of the COVID restrictions (e.g. no change of course, no group mixing etc.). Unlike in previous ski schools, the teachers really worked visibly on their technique and ability - without having to forcefully drive all over the ski area. Seldom seen so much sustainable learning progress. The last two days there was a short trip by train to the Rinerhorn, which was probably a lot of fun.
Because of COVID there was no lunchtime care, but that can be organized - the main thing was that skiing was possible.
As always, the teachers were very professional and cool. The two weeks of snowboard lessons were a highlight of this winter.
We have been using SSD (Bolgen team) for all of our 3 kids over the last 5 years, for every holiday, from Blue Prince to the Race Academy and private racing lessons (RS), skiing. Our eldest kid is racing with SC Davos and we still book from time to time private lessons for him. SSD have by far the best teachers, mostly Swiss (unlike other schools in Davos) but all obviously speaking English, and their instructor "show" is a highlight at Bolgen, where you can see - these guys can ski themselves! The level is the best of all school, if you ask me. They also work well as a team and one can see them "teambuilding" at hockey matches of HCD etc. - generally it looks like the spirit is good. The other school in Davos has "lost" our kid on the slope (I do not want to mention which one, as they actually reacted well, took measures). But still we turned to SSD and never looked back. I highly recommend the school.
I moved to Davos for work, and hadn't skied on snow before. I have had a few lessons this year which gave me confidence to start on the slopes, and enjoy the mountains. The teaching was good, relaxed and also fun! Would highly recommend it, and look forward to learning more next winter.
Our girl (4) didn't like it at all and she didn't want to leave anymore. No problem for the ski school, you can stop at any time. But the course fee is not returned. After long discussions, she received 2 hours of private tuition for the money. With such small children, a little more goodwill would be appropriate in our opinion, or let yourself be inspired by really family-friendly ski schools.
