Wonderful school! Extremely helpful staff in getting me situated here in Barcelona, helping with my student visa and everything I need. Anna and Yasmin are especially great!! Really nice and fun teachers who present the material in an in an interesting way!! My spanish was high intermediate when I started 4 weeks ago and it has drastically improved! Highly recommended!!

I learned Spanish at Speakeasy for 2 weeks. The organization of the language school, the teachers and the organization of the recreational events were excellent. I completed the intensive course (20h per week). Within a short time, I have made great progress. The activities offered twice a week have been used to make contacts in Barcelona. I can recommend this language school and would take a course here again.

Although two of my three teachers were very passionate and well prepared for the class, I cannot give 5 stars. The third teacher in question (responsible for 2/4 hours a day) was not very well prepared, sometimes discussed the same grammar as has been discussed in the previous class (if she would discuss grammar at all), and would play way too many games that were not very useful to improve my Spanish. There were various other people in my class that were also annoyed at this and it more often than not felt like a waste of time. Then during my last two weeks there were two students in my class with very weak oral and reading comprehension abilities. This was also evident for the teacher and brought the level of the class down considerably. If people are sorted in the wrong level this should be fixed, instead of having a class in which Spanish levels vary widely.
Overall, due to the other two teachers, I still improved my Spanish but it wasn't my favorite Spanish school. The classes I took at another language school in Valencia (ELE aleph) were of much better quality and made me feel more at home.

2. The location is in the city center
3. The intensive course is very solid, and the small class size, no more than 12 people in a class
4. The whole course of Spanish is in class, and teachers who do not understand are very patient and explain that they will not be released
5. The school has Chinese-speaking administrators, so do n t worry about poor communication

I thought the teachers were really good - and I really learned a lot there. The only problem is the way they assess the pupils' levels. I think they should do it on the 1st day instead of via internet. That way they can be sure of the level of the pupil. I did have people who could not string 2 words together in my class and I thought it was not fair on the others. If they continue doing tests on internet then they should be more flexible about people changing classes when they feel they are not in the right level. But I will definitely go back there to do the advance class.

Love speakeasy!! The class is so fun and useful, I feel like I have been learning a lot. Plus the location is perfect, right next to pl catalunya. I strongly recommend this school to those who want to spend a quality time learning spanish in Barcelona!!

I have been studying at Speakeasy for a month by now. I highly recommend this school due to the following reasons:
1) good method of teaching, using only Spanish in classrooms.
2) students who come from various countries.
3) very convenient location
4) all school staff members are kind and helpful.
5) last but not least, many fun and well-prepared extracurricular activities are available every week!

I would never ever regret my choise of learning Spanish on this school! The teachers are awesome and they also have activities for all the students during our free time, the best way to get new friends from all over the world!

Great teacher and very helpful administrative staff. Fun teaching in teaching and their methods of learning Spanish were extensive both grammatically but also in terms of local expressions and regional differences in Spanish-language parts of the world. In addition, they organize both major student activities such as. Travel to Andorra and Ibiza at great prices, but also smaller activities like yoga classes and pub nights. Lot's of love to the whole Speakeasy but especially Nadia who was the activity manager in the summer of 2018 and Neus who is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Muchas gracias de todo mi corazon. I have several classes there in different times. It was very interesting and fun. Moreover, the activity department has organized many interesting trips in the city and out side of the city. Especially trip to Costa Brava is unforgettable for me. We should do it again))

I am currently doing an intensive class with Speakeasy and until now it was really good. The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful and the staff is really keen on offering you a smooth registration process. They also have great activities within the school where students get together and explore parts of BCN and the city life.

Speakeasy is a great way to learn Spanish! The teachers are very attentive and the students get a lot of practice due to the small class sizes. Very motivating atmosphere to learn the Spanish language. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!

Horrible school !!!! We came to learn Spanish with a friend, the level is zero. The group was distributed so that in one group half could already somehow speak Spanish and knew something, and the second half did not know anything at all. Teachers quickly slipped through the alphabet and numbers, went to the verbs - all this was done haphazardly, scattered, there was no time to write down the information, they all erased everything from the board. The textbooks absolutely do not contain structured information. Everything is chaotic. And more like a workbook with exercises. By the end of the first week, we were not able to write a single conjugation of the verb. I was looking for a home on the Internet myself and wrote it down in a notebook. Teachers were not interested in communicating with the zeros, so they sat down to those who already knew something in the language and preferred to communicate with them. It came to the point that they showed the cards and did not show our side at all. Rude and were sharp in communication, when someone could not rightly pronounce the first time, or forgot one of the numerous numerals. The result was 2 weeks - a test. 2 people from the group could not pass, they were told that they could not continue their education in that group, they had to start again from scratch. so you can sit at zero level for years. Their money was paid much ahead, there is no way to cancel their studies. You can study at home, of course, but 4 hours a day with teachers, all the logicians should give at least some result, and in a foreign country, all evenings are spent on sightseeing. Independent work is good, but we can do this at home, people come to learn a little spoken language and get some charge for further study of the language. Now one negativ.Ne advise. Although I can not answer for teachers at the highest level, maybe there are more qualified specialists.

I am currently attending the intensive course for a total of 5 weeks with 4 hours per day and can wholeheartedly recommend the language school. The teachers are super nice and you quickly lose the fear of speaking Spanish, even if you think that you are not ready yet. I really like the fact that you try to use little English or other languages, because this way you learn to paraphrase things or to find synonyms, for example. Overall, you learn in a relaxed atmosphere. The employees in the office are super helpful and always have an open ear for any concerns. It is particularly cool that three times a week there is also the opportunity to join a variety of community activities and excursions organized by the school. I can only recommend participating in the excursions, it is a great opportunity to get to know the city and new people.

Have been to school for 5 weeks right now and have had a good time! Small classes, schysta rooms with aircon, central location and one learns very very quickly! They also have activities every week so if you like, you can hang out and discover the city, the rest of Spain and even make new friends through the school! Highly recommended !!
