Southwest pediatric and orthodontics Review

Our experience at Southwest Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics has always been fantastic over the 13 years we ve been taking our kids there! On the orthodontic side, Dr. Jim is so friendly, welcoming, caring and knowledgeable. All 3 of our teenagers have gorgeous smiles thanks to his quality orthodontic work. On the dental side, Dr. Scott does fantastic work and goes above and beyond by taking the time to care for and get to know your family. I very highly recommend this office for your dental and orthodontic needs - you will not be disappointed!

I have been bringing my kids here for 7 years now and they are always great! My kids love to get their teeth cleaned and even when the need a cavity filled my kids never complain and are always comfortable!

We have had nothing but a positive experience with this office. Very friendly doctors and staff. They are extremely patient with the kids and accommodating with appointments. They communicate issues well with us and make my children feel comfortable while in the chairs. We appreciate their kindness and would recommend them for dental care and braces!

Our experience here was incredible. The hygienist, Kelsey, showed my 2.5 year the tools she would be using to clean his teeth before starting. She also talked to him about Halloween and what toys he likes, which made him comfortable and set him up for a successful visit. Dr. Hong came in knowing my son's name and with a very friendly demeanor. After the exam, he made him a balloon animal as well, the little touches go a long way. The front office staff is also very friendly.

This is a night and day difference from a previous dentist we went to, where there were limited greetings and rushed to the cleaning. My son cried the entire time and definitely wasn't a thorough exam.

So glad we found Southwest Pediatric Dentistry. Highly recommend!

I was amazed at how much time Dr. Pankratz spent with my 7-year old son trying to find the best possible solution for his problem. He explained all the options and recommended the best way to go both orthodontically and financially. He was very kind and understanding too.

The office is super tidy and kid friendly with lots of toys to play with. They were able to schedule us the next day for my son's issue even though it was not that urgent. Would recommend this practice to everyone in the neighborhood!

The providers and staff here are amazing!! We came from another dental office where my daughter was often very anxious and they are so patient and skilled, we are so thankful.

We have been patients with Dr. Jim Urbaniak and Team since 2002! All three children are Dentistry and ortho patients and now have perfect, straight teeth! Dr. Jim and team are the best. They make you feel comfortable and they have an amazing sense of humor, not to mention the great music that s always playing overhead. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Dr. Jim Urbaniak and his team! I give them 100+ STARS!

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. From check-in to check-out it was amazing . The Dentist was super friendly, knowledgeable and makes balloon animals!!!!!!!!!! My 4 yo son was so scared he was actually shaking but they were able to make him completely comfortable and we re even able to clean his teeth . I cannot say enough positive things about this place . My kids leave and ask when they can go back . Absolutely outstanding.

AMAZING team!! We ve been ortho & dentistry patients here for years and wouldn t go anywhere else. Dr. Jim and Dr. Scott are incredible with kids and my daughter loves their hygienists Rachel & Michele like family. Can t recommend enough!!

This place is wonderful! All of the staff and physicians are kind and professional. My kids never worry about going to the dentist because of the friendly and comfortable environment. We mostly see Dr. Gabe and Dr. Scott. I highly recommend this office. Positive experiences with both the orthodontist and dental visits.

Dr Gabe always makes me feel comfortable. I was super nervous about getting braces on and was scared it was going to hurt. He made me feel calm and is super nice. I m not nervous for my appointments any more. The other staff members are also very nice and help me whenever I knock my braces off playing sports :)

What an amazing group of doctors and staff. Even with a busy waiting room, we were seen right away by assistants and doctors. Two of the doctors called us on a daily basis to see how our sons infection was doing. I can't say enough good things about our experience there. A previous doctor we went to told us our son had 4 cavities. When our son was seen by Dr. Scott at SWPO he told us our son had no cavities. I wonder what the other doctor was up to? Hmmmmm..........$$. I highly recommend this place.

Always a great experience! They are patient with the kids and take the time to make the visit fun. The environment is welcoming and warm and the dentist even makes balloon animals!! My kids love coming to the dentist!

We have been going to Southwest Pediatric Dentistry for the last year. They are always super friendly with my two kiddos! Dr. Scott is super with my kids, and my kids like him too.

If you like shady Dentists this is the place for you. I went to this Dentist office for a cleaning because I could not see my long time Dentist. I can't say anything bad about the hygienist. She did a good job and was friendly. She indicated my teeth looked great, looking at X-rays. However, the Dentist came in and within a couple minutes stated that I have a cavity. I have never had a cavity so I was skeptical to say the least. The hygienist also seemed confused by the assessment. Long story short, I did not let them fix the alleged cavity and was able to go back to my normal Dentist a couple months later. I was very aggravated to hear from my trusted Dentist that I do NOT have a cavity. So unethical!!! I'm sure the office has a lot of overhead so they bill for everything under the sun and that includes making things up. Receptionist was also rude. X-ray tech was very pleasant. DO NOT trust this dentist office. They did this same thing with my daughters orthodontics work; the estimate maxed my insurance deductible and another Ortho Dr. told me all the work they tried to pitch me was not necessary. Twice disappointed, never again.

I have four children and originally came here for one child's orthodontics because they were so highly recommended by my friends. I immediately understood why and began coming to them for all of my family's dental needs. I have since had two more in braces and many dental appointments. Here are my top reasons why:
1. Schedulers truly work hard to coordinate appointments and make them fit my schedule. As a result, my wait times have always been short.
2. Staff and dentists always take the time necessary to explain any issue and allow me to ask any questions without making me feel rushed.
3. Billers are amazingly accurate at verifying insurance, getting pre-authorizations if necessary, making sure I understand my benefits, and billing in a timely manner.
4. Offices are clean and comfortable. My kids love the themed rooms.
5. I have yet to meet any staff member who has not been courteous, efficient, and generally great at their job. And they manage to make appointments fun with little touches like kids earning tickets.
6. The cost is comparable or better than other places I have used and the results are great.
7. The convenience of having one office for myself and my husband as well as my kids has been great.
I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Great staff! Dr. Cashman is great and I like going to a smaller dental group for that one on one attention. They take the time to value me as a patient and that goes a long way. I highly recommend Dr. Cashman and team.

Amazing Experience! My 4 year old had to have 4 cavities filled and Dr Mike was so good with her. She loved it!

My son Wyatt had a severe underbite. Since we were already seeing Dr. Scott, we were advised to see Dr. Jim on the orthodontic side. My son had braces put on at 6 years old to correct his jaw. We have been advised every step of the way on steps we need to take at home. Dr. Gabe is so encouraging to Wyatt about the progress he is making. The rest of the staff at Southwest Pediatric Dental is amazing and I was so impressed the way they have handled my children, I switched my dentist to the adult side. I highly recommend this office for all of your dental/orthodontic needs.

We love it here. The staff is very friendly, understanding, and everyone there does everything they can to make your children feel comfortable. We came from a HORRIBLE dentist experience and it's like night and day. I recommend everyone I know to this place. Both the dental and ortho sides are wonderful!

Awesome Staff! Seems like everyone in Denver knows of Dr. Urbaniak........I feel very lucky to be able to bring my daughter here.

Dr. Urbaniak and all the staff at SWPDO have made all five of our daughters' smiles sparkle! Although some of the cases have been complicated ones (my genes), all of the results have been amazing. The girls have been very comfortable with all of the staff and have enjoyed their treatments as well as the results. The facility is state-of-the-art and is super clean. Dr. Jim's fun-loving approach with the patients and the contests, themes, etc. make the visits enjoyable. We highly recommend this practice--it's a fun, family atmosphere where smiles (and lives) are transformed!

My 5 year old had to get two cavities filled and he was panicking during the procedure which was giving me anxiety. Dr. Mike and his staff did an amazing job of helping him calm down and talking him through the procedure. Best of all though, they were calm the whole time, never seemed to get upset or irritated and were so friendly before, after and during the procedure. Afterwards, Dr. Mike even made my son two balloon animals!

I highly recommend anyone at this office for pediatric dentistry needs.

Finally a dentist with options who you can trust!!!
