I am very happy with my purchase from Lazar and the finance team such as Freddy- and the whole service team- I have received great experiences from from South gate VW. They are very fast with service, with getting me my car, fixing everything I ask for, and getting back to me right away. I like the courtesy shuttle and or taxi if needed or the fact that they loaned me out a car when I was stranded. Very great customer service! Highly recommend this dealership. I also absolutely love my car so much!

went to Southgate Volkswagen on a family recommendation. Best decision ever our sales person was Dan who was so super helpful funny and just a all around great guy. Helped through every step made us feel relaxed and made buying a new vehicle a easy transition. i highly recommend Southgate for any new vehicle purchase everyone there is amazing! Salesman Nauman was very nice and honest. Others not so much. I deal with the public all the time and my fib o meter was off the chart. The mechanic who did the vehicle inspection was way off course. If this person checks your vehicle at Southgate, get another opinion. Your well being may be at risk. This vehicle was not listed as is in any of the ads I checked and it had more wrong with it than the car check showed. A couple words come to mind. Honesty and Integrity. Something this dealership should think about.

Please take the time to read if you are considering buying a used vehicle from Southgate Volkswagen. I inquired about a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara listed for $22,900, I was directed to Sales associate Dan Heller who was my point of contact. I sent him an ad for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara that was listed on Driving force for the price of $19,900 so I asked him if they could compare on pricing as they were identical trim levels and similar kilometre ranges. Dan came back to me with the price of $20,500 and asked when I could come in for a test drive. The next day I went in for the test drive, Dan at the beginning was friendly and easy to deal with handed us the key for the test drive and off we went. After a successful test drive we sat down with Dan and began the typical sales pitch as per expected. He showed me the Carproof, went over the inspection report and went into detail into what they would do to bring it up to spec. He then said to let me get my Manager he will want to speak to you. We dealt with Used car sales manager Mike Isaac who initially seemed approachable at the start but soon went straight into the negotiation process, ignoring the fact that I repeatedly said I wanted to test drive the other Jeep first before coming in to negotiate but nevertheless I repeatedly said I am definitely interested I just needed to see the other Jeep first. He then said, What do we need to do to get you to buy this Jeep today? I chuckled and said well if you would take $4000 off I ll sign right now cash deal, definitely not expecting them to say yes just to make a slight joke. He then said what if we take another $2000 off? Which would bring the price to $18,500. I then said I will seriously consider the offer I just have to rule out the other Jeep first and for that day we left it at that. Later that evening I decided that I wanted to move to final negotiations with the Jeep I contacted Dan and asked what the best price was they could give me? He told me to call him to put a deposit on it and the next day we would go over the final pricing. I told him I would not do that until I agreed with the final price. He called me the next morning and asked me what the price was that Mike had given me as they lost the paperwork on it. I told him Mike said to me they could do $18,500 as per our previous conversation. Mike called me shortly after and told me they could no longer offer me the price of $18,500 and that he never said that price but was basically shooting numbers back at me, he then said that he was at the table ready to make a deal and I walked from the table. Even though I told him I was very interested but I needed to rule out the other Jeep first. To sum up this entire sales process I am very disappointed with the sales team I dealt with, I was ready to buy this Jeep but unfortunately this team was very dishonest with the numbers they provided. Would definitely not recommend this dealership and for future buyers get the numbers in writing first.

I dealt with SG VW for about 4 months, specifically Edgar and Evan. It took 3 months for my husband and I to decide on a vehicle that we wanted. Edgar was patient with us and met with us several times over the 3 months as we asked many questions and explored many options. He was friendly, kind and made the whole experience more enjoyable. This was MY first time buying a vehicle so I was a little apprehensive about the whole process but felt as though we were in good hands. Evan dealt with the finances with us, and he was also very friendly and helpful. He gave us all our options, informed us and I didn t feel pressured to buy extra things.

Love my new car and all the features that VW has to offer over other companies.

Overall, a non-stressful, enjoyable experience and I would recommend others to at least go and see what they have to offer!

Absolutely horrible! I bought the car literally last Tuesday and by Thursday I was having engine troubles. I called the sales person to figure out what's going on and what would be my next step. They said they would get back to me it's been 5 days still no answer or reply. I have called multiple times left multiple messages and no one will get back to me. I drove the car for 2 days before having engine issues and tried to contact them so that shows what kind of dealership they are!

Will never be stepping foot in this dealership again. The service department should be ashamed of themselves. Ive been in contact with multiple VW dealerships in the past week and was quoted $300 less than what I was charged here. This is not our first issue with the service department since purchasing our brand new atlas there less than 10 months ago. Will be contacting Volkswagen Canada to make a formal complaint.

I purchased a 2016 Blue camry. Advertised at $20,906. Went to the dealership and when negotiating the final sale the MSRP was originally $22,906.All that hassle to only save $906. The car had a few scratches, paint chips, I was told would be touched up upon pick up day. It wasn't. Upon pick up day the car was not ready. Also only came with only one key. On top of that the key shank was not cut for the car. I'm unable to open the glove box. Very frustrating knowing I only have one key, push start. If the battery dies, I have no other option to open the car, because the key shank was not cut. Not very professional on VW dealership. I also called and left the general manager Marvin Henschel a voicemail No reply. Also emailed and nothing. Again very disgusted with service all around.

Dan Heller made purchasing the vehicle fantastically fun and I did not feel pushed during any step of the process. Great Service from Adam, Jason, Anderson and Ralph as well as the shop tech and Ralph's right hand man (did not get his name). My experience was 95% good... The few hiccups I had were dealt with at the time of delivery. Got the car I wanted for the price I wanted. Would definitely recommend over Norden VW... They're a joke! Southgate was great all the way around!

This dealership was wonderful to work with. We had visited a different dealership previously and felt like it was lacking transparency. We then went to Southgate VW and the amount of transparency and honesty was astonishing! Both the manager and salesperson were extremely professional and straight to the point. They made sure to give us the best deal. On top of that, they went the extra mile to bring in vehicle that I wanted specifically from another lot with no repercussions!! I can not express how impressed I am. Once again, this dealership was amazing to work with. I will for sure be coming back for any future vehicle purchases!

I have been to a lot of dealerships over the years for service and I have to say this is by far the best service experience I have had in over 20 years!!!!! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The service department was clean comfortable and the staff beyond exceptional. Even the sales staff was friendly. Do not buy any car from here online or the phone. A month ago I bought the car on the phone with MIKE because I am from Calgary and I trusted the Volkswagen dealers as I considered them a reputable company. I had a friend check out the car for me and at the time he saw a good brand of all-season tires. So i agreed to drive up from Calgary to Edmonton to buy the vehicle. Upon picking up, I signed all the paperwork and got the car. 10 days later, the tires start buckling up and loosing air. I took the vehicle to many car shops to get them checked out, all of them told me that the tires were poor quality and not intended for the vehicle I bought. I could not find the same tires in Calgary and I ordered it from Edmonton, I believe that the Volkswagen dealership should have the warranty on the tires. I had called them recently about this issue and they said it's not their fault as they did an "inspection" and they offered no solution on this matter. I feel honestly betrayed and disappointed that the Volkswagen company tricks customers into thinking they are receiving a high quality product, yet gives a cheap product.

Grace and I would like to say that we had a very good experience at the Southgate Volkswagen dealership. I must admit I was a little nervous since I had never been there before and we were on a limited budget. Previously we had the car checked by a very competent mechanic and after checking it out on a high end analyzer found out what he thought was the problem..The intake manifold which has a special valve in it had failed. The cost was about $1500. He then looked on line and found out that it was under an extended warranty through Volkswagen, 193 K. or 10 years and our car was a 2009 model Tiguan with only 78 K on it.When we phoned Southgate we found the secretary {Mary} very friendly and helpful. She passed us onto Crystal who got our information regarding the vehicle and said "that was the case regarding the warranty extension". So we took the the car in and met these two individuals who passed us onto Ryan the service manager. He took our particulars and said 'they would have to put it through their analyzer to confirm the original diagnoses. It turned out that it was correct, so they took the car in and started working on it and thought it would be ready that afternoon !! by 4.30 pm. they phoned and said "it was ready" We were amazed so went back and picked it up. Not only a new intake manifold but new injectors. We asked Ryan how much did we owe and he said"not a cent" How is that for a Valentines present? We went away with an awful good feeling about Southgate Volkswagen.

A serious rear alignment issue on my 2018 Tiguan resulted in extreme wear on my rear tires that made them dangerous to use after only about 10,000 km. Southgate Volkswagen investigated the issue and concluded that it was an out of the ordinary mechanical issue. They resolved the mechanical issue, provided two new of the same tires to replace the ones that were ruined and sent me on my way. All in one day, and free of charge. Everyone I dealt with at Southgate Volkswagen were absolutely fantastic. Very satisfied customer.

I was back and forth at Southside Volkswagen pestering him every week till I found the right vehicle. I found a 2018 Tiguan R-Line. Despite a couple of hiccups everything overall went well. I was buying a 2018 Golf R from this dealer; except they forgot to inform me about a $9400 carfax note... Luckily I asked. They then OFFERED (I was happy to walk away) to revise the deal to make it more appealing to me. They asked me what number I would be happy with to continue with the transaction. So I sent the number to Keagan (EDIT to add numbers as per dealer request - We were on 635pm over 84, my numbers sent to them to continue was 575pm over 84, they responded with 575pm over 96) but all they did was increase the term from 84 months to 96 months to make it seem like the car is a lot cheaper now... When I questioned this, I was told by Mike Isaac-Pietris, let me copy and paste the exact words from the email: "The numbers have not changed, all that I adjusted was the term. I understand if this car is outside of your affordability. A GTI may be a better option for you payment wise." LOL!

I was ready to sign the papers and collect my car today at 11h30 until I found out about the carfax. Instead, Mike saved me from sure financial ruin. Thanks Mike!

Customers are just numbers to them.I bought my car two months back as part of the deal they charged me for Remote starter and other extras but never cared to reach out to me i had to follow up many times even then there's no response. At least give your customers what was promised for and as per the deal.

Not happy with my expirience. When I pulled out of the parking lot after purchasing a vehicle, it started spewing blue smoke. It definitely wasn't doing that when I test drove it.
I got the impression they were surprised about the issue, when I reported it. I asked for a refund, or to look at something else. But, they wanted to have a look at it first.
I dropped it off at 7:30 am the next business day. However, the issue was clearly very serious and they needed to send it to another company to service it. I visited the store again at this point and asked to speak with a manager about it, but they refused to see me.
It took almost a month for a decision to be made, but only a few days to determine that the engine was shot.
Receiving no updates from them without having to call and ask for one was vary frustrating and stressful. Each time I was told they would call me back about it, but never did. After the first week of that, I gave up and just called the business they had servicing it directly.

On a positive note, they did provide me with a loaner vehicle for the time, and upgraded me to something that could tow my trailer, in time for my vacation. Also, I want to point out that I had no issues with the two sales people I dealt with. They were friendly, and apologetic. This wasn't what they thought they were selling me.

In the end I did get my money back, but that wasn't until they determined that it was their only option. I'd leave them with one star, if it wasn't for the two sales people a day the loaner vehicles.

Now it's back to the drawing board for me and my family.

We have the luxury of taking some time to make our purchase and have not seen enough vehicles to be firm on buying a Volkswagen (yet) but we would unequivocally recommend Rob as a sales person. He was warm, funny, and friendly but most of all patient and knowledgeable about his product as well as how it compared to other products out there. We would highly recommend speaking with this young man if you are in the market for Volkswagen.

My wife and I recently leased an SUV and we were blown away by the incredible customer service. Everyone we dealt with was so amazing. We had been to multiple car dealerships looking for the perfect vehicle for us and did not receive this level of service anywhere. They created a welcoming atmosphere and knowledge we felt we could trust instantly. Alice was our sales representative and explained the vehicle inside and out to us. Veer is who we deal with in finance and he explained the financial side to us and was able to answer all of our questions. We also appreciated the sales manager, Jon who was kind and did not rush us into anything. We have walked away happy with our experience, in love with our new purchase, and feel confident in the pricing that was provided to us. Overall, we also feel like we gained new friends in the process. We would recommend anyone to go here without hesitation. Thank you to everyone at the VW south dealership.

Having an 06 Jetta wagon TDI the last 5 years as my wife's daily driver we were finding the maintenance costs to be high for the diesel BEW engine which requires a specific rated oil and costly maintenance intervals, so we decided it was time to get her into something newer, more reliable and with lower maintenance costs and came across a diificult to find manual 2013 Golf Sportwagen 2.5L on Southgate VW's used inventory online. I inquired on it and received an email from Jon, Manager of the Internet Sales Team saying he would have somone get in touch right away. An hour later I received an email from Aaron with a short video tour of the car and an estimate of what the payments might be which I thought was pretty neat. After conversing via email on and off for two weeks (as my wife and I were still deciding whether we should wait and order a new manual Alltrack model or go used), I went in and met with Aaron and I was sure glad I did. Aaron was super friendly, easy going and answered all my questions and never once did I feel I was being pushed into going with something newer or more expensive, even though I told him I was considering it! He let me take the car for an hour to try it out and I told him I would get back to him as we were still considering our options. I contacted him back the next day and said we decided the Golf Sportwagen 2.5L would be the most reliable engine for my wife and fit our budget. He sent me a copy of the certified inspection and carproof and all looked good so we put in an application for finance and my wife was approved next day at a great rate, and they even swapped out the wheels for her from 16's to 18's! Aaron even went out of his way for us and met us on his day off to go over the car's features! Super happy with how patient they were and how easy they made the whole process and my wife is beyond happy with her 2013 Golf Sportwagen. Thank you Southgate VW

Worst exprienced ever was promised test drive and a viewing of a golf r. Once i got there turns out someone else put a hold on it and wasnt able to drive it at all or look at it. They expect us to put a payment down for a car that i havent seen or driven at all. Worst dealership i even been to. Kegan was the guy that was supposed to help us with the drive turns out hes outta town and the guy he told to go see was named brandon. I was promised that the car will be waiting in front of the dealership when we come in. It wasnt there when we got there was really serious about buying the car but the way i was treated and the lack of respect shown from brandon was really disrespectful. Will not suggest getting a car from them all they are looking for is a cheque at the end of the day no passion at all from them.

I bought used ram 1500 in the month of January 2020. The first time i checked the vehicle interior and went for a ride there was a check engine light on the dashboard. The salesperson said it will be fixed by the time I buy it. Next day I went to the Volswagon dealership again to see the vehicle and other finance formalities the sign was gone. Within one month the check engine light came back. I drove less than 500 kms at that time. I tried to call the same salesperson but later found that he already quit the job. Then I talked to the second salesperson and told him the check engine light issue. I dropped my vehicle at dealership first week of March regarding detailing and check engine light. The time I picked my vehicle there was no sign. I was told by the second salesperson if check engine light comes back come to dealership again as I didn t drive much kms on this vehicle. Again within 2 weeks check engine light keeps coming back and forth for few days Then kind of permanent on the dashboard. I tried to call second salesperson and went to Volswagon and found that that guy too is not working there anymore. I talked to the third salesperson about the issue and he sent me to the dodge dealership. Dodge guys diagnosed the vehicle and found some problem related to fuel tank and costs around 600$. May be it was the same problem from the beginning which was never fixed by Volswagon because I drive only around 2000 kms in three months the time I buy this vehicle. Later I talked to the fourth person(sales manager) about this issue and according to him it is a used vehicle so all these problems gonna come anytime and I found that the codes and check engine light issue was never ever fixed just codes were cleared from the dashboard just to be looked ok. That was the reason check engine light keeps coming on the dashboard. I talked to few people including mechanics and they said that this would have been fixed at Volswagon coz i didn t drive much kms and problem seems to be from the beginning. Thanks
