I ve been here since I was in 7th grade. Came to my first appointment by myself, and they were completely disrespectful and did not care about my situation. I was never updated on policies, and they completely made up new policies while I was there. Without having proof of said policy, I walked out with nothing but frustration and not being heard. If policies change, UPDATE your patients. I was never updated and two different staff members told me two different things. The student threatened me by saying, I m from ATL, I don t like when people raise their voice at me. That is a complete threat to me and I told the student I don t want to do the dilation today. The doctor came in stating, We would dilate your eyes, but (student doctor s name) wouldn t want to be around you for that long. Doctor Tyler was very disrespectful and I do not recommend anyone who have actual eye problems to come back!!!!! I felt attacked as a BLACK WOMAN for not being heard and being refused on what I need. No one has ever heard of that new policy until I repeated it. The business staff even said that they never heard of someone being refused for contacts. So therefore, my questions were never answered and I walked out disappointed. I do not recommend this establishment anymore.

They are wonderful when attending you. I love going to the eye center to get my prescription and my glasses. Although prices seem to be increasing and the fees too. Great service over all though. Will continue to go but probably not get my glasses from there.

I ve been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old. I m 23 now and they have never messed up my prescription or have had to do my prescription twice. I went in for an appointment 5/19, got my prescription taken(sat for 3 hours), and picked out my frames. Ended up paying 300$ because I m very blind. Only took a week (5/26)to receive them which was great. I go to pick them up and when I put them on I couldn t see. I call right after picking them up and have to schedule another visit. My new glasses had lower prescription then my current glasses. I asked for a refund because I would rather go somewhere else. Now I have to wait 2-6 weeks to receive my refund by mail even though I paid with a card.

Always efficient, always friendly and very thorough. I don't trust anyone else with my children's eye health. I wish I could give 10

This place is awesome! The facility is clean and staff was very professional! During Covid I really appreciate Southern Optometry for the policies and procedures put in place to keep everyone safe! Screening was done by a very nice security guard who was very friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this place!

Professional, clean, safe environment to get your eye health seen to.

You are furst examined by a student in their 4th year of Optometry school. Then a licensed Ophymologist reviews the students findings during your examination for a final review. At that point a prescription is written for either glasses or contacts.

You can purchase glasses and contacts there or take your prescription to fill elsewhere.

I recommend this school to anyone.

Wonderful place. Friendly courteous service. Will check, double check and triple check your eyes to be sure your sight is in great condition. I recommend this facility to anyone. Men women or children. It's a family oriented environment!

Dr Fiddler is outstanding. Took family member for appointment. The place runs like a well oiled machine. Get in quickly and they spend quality time examining and explaining things. I could not have asked for a better experience.

A very nice place to get a through eye examination and economic friendly
