South Toledo Golf Club Review

Hardest greens I've played in years, fairways offer little trouble, the greens will kill you. I give it a 5 because of the friendly staff and the SCOOTERS,.so much fun, not cheap but so worth it

South Toledo is taking necessary precautions for cleanliness and safe distancing during covid. Straight-forward holes with tidy greens and an outdoor patio. Thank you South Toledo!

Thought I would give it a try after a few years. The course layout is nice but the conditions were poor. The customer service is the worst I have experienced since the last time I went there. Never again they might as well close up.

Not bad for a course that's closer to the city than the others.

The staff at South Toledo are among the rudest people I've ever encountered as a patron. My party and I were treated with unsolicited attitude from our first encounter. There is no excuse for that customer service and I won't return. Plenty of other courses in Toledo.

Don't go there the greens are irritated. Bunkers are dirt not sand..

Clubhouse Manger was a Jerk and the GOLF COURSE is in terrible shape

Nick is a personable guy, course is a good challenge.

Classic country club style track--out & back. In pretty decent shape.

Close, inexpensive, and having deer crossing the course is great.

Good place to do some rounds. The club house has an old feel but it's a nice place for a reception.

Very nice facility. Has a great residential area surrounding. Would be a great place to live and view the golf course. Close by to play a round.

halfway decent course but it is ruined by the nose in the air mentality that is abundant here. I went by myself and a lady and her son let me play through, no problem there. Then I get stuck behind 2 groups of 5!!! One of which I am stuck behind for 20 + minutes the whole time. No etiquette and no respect. I won't be back anytime soon.

This is solely about the cost versus overall shape of the course. We recently paid $41 on a Saturday which is what I expect to pay for some of the more well kept courses in the area. They even quoted me $24 for 9 on a weekday. This is an average course and shouldn t be much more than $30 for 18 during prime hours. You can play Heatherdowns across the street for the same price and it s in much better shape.

course was in great shape for the late fall season. Staff told us they cut greens 2 times this week and it is mid December. Wow greens were awesome and rolled like summer. Had great selection of beers and other items for this late in the season. Can not understand all the negative comments on the staff. Staff was great! Made are entire group feel at home in the golf shop and snack bar. Asked us all about our round and took great care of us after golf in the bar. I would play this course anytime and would be the first on the list!

Haven't played here in years, but a decent course. I like it.

Finn cycles were amazing and make the round of golf so much fun. Staff went over and beyond helping us get set up for the first time and make it extremely memorable. Will definitely be back soon!

Very disappointed in this course. Paid $15 more through golf now then I would have paid at course. Rained after first hole, tried to get refund but no go. Played after rain stopped. Lost around 9 balls just off the fairway. I will never go back to this course. Expressed my concerns to club pro, his response - oh really & that's great customer service.

My uncle took my brother and I up there last weekened for the first time and we each got a golf cart and an elderly gentleman was rude to us about it and it seemed like he thought he was the owner there and the employees never told us the rules or anything. We got a refund and went somewhere else to golf. Worst employees in the world.

Played 18 holes today after paying 29.00 for senior rates (overpriced by at least 20%) and the club house manager saying the course was in beautiful
shape failing to mention that the front nine greens were plugged and not sanded over and most of the sand bunkers were either torn up or just plain dirt. A waste of time and money when there are so many other great and fairly priced courses in the area. Will not play there again!

Played here cheap thanks to my brother...thank heavens for that!!! I realize you can t mow when it s wet, but also heard that was about the normal for this place

We had fun today. Greens were nice given the time of year. Seen a red fox a couple of times and plenty of deer tracks that added to the pleasure of golfing today. Look forward to playing here again in the spring.

I liked it. Found it to be a little expensive but,it was not in to bad of shape. And not busy which I like when I golf

We had a 3pm tee time and were not told anything about the course closing at 7pm. Then at 7:03pm we had someone come out to pull the pins and told us we needed to pick up the pace and head in because the course closed. We spent $36 on 18 and a cart and then had to rush in. Course was in okay condition but there was always tons of ball marks in each green and pins were sometimes in rough spots that a public course shouldn t have pins in. I won t be returning here after being pushed off the course at 7pm on a Sunday

Course was in good shape inspite of difficulty finding balls because of leaves.

$38 is crazy overpriced for the conditions of this golf course. Greens were under repair, fairways and tee boxes were in poor condition.

There are a dozen other courses in the area that are better playing conditions at a better price.

Not in the shape of years past. Heard that the city owns it now.

I hadn't been to South Toledo for about 3 years and today, I was reminded why. I only went there because I used GolfNow and I had a $20 discount for my next round. I paid $15.33 for 18 and they charged me $7.50 for my wife to ride 9 holes with me (not play, just ride). This course is burned out for the most part. About 55-60% of the course is green and the rest is brown and dead. The greens are really slow and poorly maintained. When I was on 18, the ranger was on a manhunt for those who were destroying the greens around the cup. I am not one for course destruction but maybe he should focus on the rest of the course. I would never pay more than the $15.33 for 18 and a cart to play there. They have seemingly lost interest in taking care of it. Unless I am offered that deal again, I don't see myself ever going back there.
