I have now been to this location twice and had great experiences both times. Dr Leich and his staff is amazing. The front desk girls are most helpful and always have smile. The assistants in the back are caring , even when you're a whiner. They helped me resolve my issues efficiently. Thanks a bunch

Incompetent staff, incompetent doctors, incompetent nurses. They will do everything in their power to get you out the door without acknowledging the sole reason of your visit. And then bill you for service that they did not provide.

The Urgent Care was totally unprofessional and I was denied treatment before the APC Pamela Nielsen even did a assessment. I walked out and went to Granger Medical after hours care and received non narcotic care that a patient deserves. I am a RN and wouldn t recommend Pamela Nielsen APC urgent care.

Went to the OBGYN department early on in my pregnancy. Had to change facilities because of insurance, but I enjoyed the few appointments I had before that. Wish I could've stayed with that doctor. Dr Reynolds and the nurses and check in staff were all very helpful and friendly. I felt that they listened to my concerns and addressed them well. The facility itself is very clean and up to date. I spent some time in radiology and in urgent care and was well cared for in all accounts. When I had to switch hospitals, the medical records and financial departments were helpful and accommodating.

I was dismissed from my primary care doctor because I was hospitalized and I no-showed appointments. Advised my primary care of this, but they are eager to get rid of patients. Will not return.

Here is my beef with all of the U clinics: 1) they don't know you. If I want to call the doctor's office, I call a call center and they put me in touch with a message person that gives a message to the doctor's office and then half a day later they get the message and call you back. I am used to a clinic where the staff knows you and you know them. If you want to call the nurse you know at your family physician, you can call her and get info.
2) My really big beef started with my son. He had been sick close to 10 days with cold like symptoms and a fever. I can tell the difference between a cold and something more so we took him in. They said it was a cold and said at 10-12 days he will be better. Today at day 18 he is still sick, his fever is back (it had calmed down between then) and he is coughing so hard he is throwing up. I called the doctor with the above mentioned method and 4 hours later I got a call back. Nice enough it was the doctor. I told him the fever was back and my son had the same symptoms and I would like him to please call in an antibiotic. He refused and said that is not good practice. He would have to see my son again and he thinks it is just a cold. So he wanted me to go in and pay another $100+ bill to tell me it is a cold and not give an antibiotic. My son hasn't had one in 2 years which I told the doc. I'm not a person who just wants to pump my child full of medicine. This isn't the first time either. It seems the U had a vendetta against prescribing anti-biotics. I was sick, went to the U, no antibiotic. When I didn't get better in several more days, I went elsewhere, got an anti-biotic, was better in 24-48 hours.

Moral: if you need something simple like an antibiotic do not go here. If you need specialists, the U had several great departments. Just not impressed with their family medicine.

Jed Kowalski is a terrible provider. I would not recommend him to anyone. I went as I had some off lab results multiple times. I came specifically to address these issues which I explained throughly. They had me scheduled for a physical and said they couldn t bill my insurance for a physical and to address my other lab issues. I explained I don t want a physical I want to address my lab issues. They were able to fix that. Enter Jed, I had 2 lab results in hand the latest one from 5 days earlier. He wanted to run the same labs again, just to see. This seemed like a waste of time and money to me as why keep running the same test when you have the results in front of you. Seems as though you should be on to step 2 of figuring out why. Regardless, the labs came back lower but still high. I wasn t informed of my labs even coming back or was even called to discuss further. I called back 3 days after the labs had been received by the doc and was told it s still high but no need to worry have a good weekend. I had to call back to attempt to get ahold of the doctor to discuss my results. Left a message and get a call back later from someone. They explain that Jed doesn t feel more testing is needed bc it was probably due to having another illnesses a month ago and to just watch symptoms and if something comes back, then they would do more testing. Probably bc of something doesn t work for me. The doctor still never called me back on the issue and had another lady call back to tell me they would run additional labs and could send me for an ultrasound but they didn t really feel it was necessary. It s my health. Do I not get a say in anything or even a discussion with a doctor? Apparently not....

I fractured my c2 in my neck and have experienced chronic pain ever since. I came in in severe pain and the er doctor didn't evaluate my pain or offer me anything but a reference to an addiction hotline. I came in do to extremely severe pain and my visit had nothing to do with addiction. I was not seeking drugs to get high but some help with pain and was in dior need of it. They offered ibuprofen and tylenol. DO NOT VISIT THIS ER IF YOU'RE SUFFERING! The doctor was rude and unprofessional.

Danica L and Emily M have been go great to work with. Very friendly and knowledgeable. My first visit there was with Danica who helped me remove my IUD after 4 years and the visit was fast and easy, I was impressed. (I have heard of horror stories while getting this removed) I felt welcomed and very comfortable to work with and to talk to.

Dr. Hotaling was very helpful to me and my wife. I have no qualms with Dr. Hotaling. I give Dr. Hotaling 5 out of 5 stars. What makes me upset is the U of U's billing department. They require, and understandably so, that you make payment before your consultation. I don't have a problem with that. The problem I have is that there is no way to pre-pay with your credit card, short of going into the clinic, if you aren't a member of their system unless you want to give your credit card over the phone. The U of U Healthcare System needs to join the 21st century. I would also echo what the other reviews have said concerning the incompetence of the billing department. Not impressed with them in the least bit.

Worst hospital to deal with. You make your appointments through their doctors but their billing goes through the Hospital (Which they never disclose to you-and blatantly know they are doing). When we made the appointment we checked to make sure the were "In-Network". But since the bill through the hospital and not through their doctors they then become "Out-of-network". When we called to talk to them about it they told us that they have these problems all the time and that their employees don't know they are out-of-network. Well if they don't know then that is their problem not mine! I shouldn't be charged 3 times what it would have costs if they had billed it correctly! WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THEM!

The ER staff is just phenomenal. They were very concerned for my well being and helpful. I never experienced anything like this. Being a teaching hospital, they were more educational and informative to me than any doctor elsewhere has ever been. Mike in particular is a complete gem. He kept my spirits up despite me being in terrible pain and under a lot of stress. He's the main reason I didn't just crumble and cry my eyes out while there.

Mike, if you ever see this, buddy I hope I never have to see you again, but I wish you all the best. You're awesome.

Very friendly staff , The building is tucked back and you don't see the front of the building so you can drive right past it and not even know you did! I love GPS ! Everything you would expect very nice new building. Alote of specialist. I don't think it's a hospital. You can be ean seen there it's like a big instacare but nicer! They also have a Huntsman Cancer center there I haven't checked it out , I go to the regular Huntsman Cancer Center. I've been fighting cancer along time. I know who is good and who isn't I've one time or another have been to them all.

I have been going here since the facility opened. At first, it was great and I recommended it to anyone who asked. Over the last 6+ months or so, it has gone drastically downhill. At my last appointment I waited almost 2 hours to see my doctor. They left me in the waiting room for an hour then moved me to the exam room and I waited another hour. The doctor was apologetic, but that is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. She sent me to the lab for blood work. The lab techs were literally "arguing" over who had to take the next patient. They were all playing on their phones and did not want to actually work. The lab staff was all very unprofessional. They talked to each other the entire time I was there acting if there were no patients surrounding them. I never did hear back from the lab, nurse, or my doctor on the results of the lab work and this was 4 months ago. However, they were awfully quick to send me the $298.00 bill to be paid. As others have mentioned, the billing department is horrible. They will often not send a bill until the after the 30 day mark then you get a late notice saying you've not paid. They are quick to threaten collections if the bill isn't paid asap. This doesn't happen on all bills, it's very inconsistent. Overall, I do not recommend going here. I know I won't be back.

Visited the ER in February with extreme pain in my right lower rib cage in the night. Dr. Dayton diagnosed a possible rib strain or URI and prescribed me a cough medicine and pain medication.

As it turns out, I had multiple blood clots, a lung infarct and pleurisy. My doctor (at another hospital) ordered appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the issues. The U of U Health Center ER did almost no diagnostics and the U backs up the Dr. on his misdiagnosis. That's about all I need to know not to return to this location unless there is absolutely no alternative.

Unlike the saying No news is good news please don t use that logic here. I went 2 weeks without getting a call back from the Women s health department and since I still wasn t feeling well I gave them a call. Go figure if I would have received the call the in 2-3 business days I would have had the medicine I needed, one would think. Nope! I was misdiagnosed on top of that and went many more weeks feeling miserable.

Came in for an urgent eye condition, I was seen by a physician assistant, Tracy Wood, who wasn't very competent, she seems like she couldn't care less about patients, examined me for less than 30 seconds and needed me to correct her to prescribe an appropriate medicine.

The ER staff is HORRIBLE. They are so rude and don t even make you feel like a priority. This is the 5th time I ve had problems with them. DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM HERE. They don t care about you or making you better.

I've been getting laser refractive surgery here for almost a year now, procedures done every couple months.... Everytime I'm here is a crap show. They have medical advancement here with the latest tools and machinery yet the staff here they pulled out of a box of rocks. As if the experience itself isn't already giving me anxiety, watching the girls run around not knowing what they are doing adds to my uneasiness. How are they not trained professionals here? Is it all a trial and error program and we're the guinea pigs? No one is ever on the same page. If it wasn't for the fact that I have no other option I'd prefer to never come here again.

Worst facility ever. If you are thinking of going here to see a back Dr., I highly suggest you either stay in pain or look somewhere else. Dr. Henri and his PA are the worst. This facility is a waste of space and should have a sign out that says vet clinic and not hospital.

Dr Henrie had me do very painful procedures that cost thousands of dollars after a car accident with no relief. I saw Dr. Andrea Matich ONE time, and she was able to diagnose my issue with some simple exercises. This was after 2 years of seeing Dr. Henrie and several chiropractors. The fix was so simple! I got duped. Don't do it yourself.

To make things worse, the billings department is TERRIBLE. I was making my monthly payments and they "accidentally" sent my remaining amount to collections. Then they insulted me, told me I should be more responsible for my payments etc etc. I filed a complaint. They reviewed my phone calls and payments, and the woman's manager called me to apologize. She admitted it was a mistake, but that there was nothing they could do. Such a joke!

Never would recommend this place. We have been in and out of this ER for 3+ months with no answers. after over $5,000 spent in procedures with the ER doctor REFUSING to run any test after a surgery come to find out it could have been solved by a 98 cent prescription. That our endoscopy dr found out by a urine sample not anything to do with an endoscopy. The neglect from that doctor could have saved my girlfriend months of pain.

Poor service from medical staff. Didn't listen to the patient, rude and "short". Horrible IV skills, and bedside manner. Seemed everything is just "routine" and didn't take the time to listen, then they had to backtrack and get advice from others on treatment and prescriptions AFTER they finally listen.
