I had to go in for a cut hand to get stitches, everyone was great. The doctor that did the stitching did nothing for pain management though. I have nerve damage and am in extreme pain. I was given a script for 3 tramadol which has done nothing. I know there are addicts but there are also people that really need pain meds for pain management and don't receive it. People that really need shouldn't have to suffer.

Terrible, they have a mentality that if something goes wrong it is your fault. The billing department is horrid, a recent trip that should have cost only a co-pay ended up costing roughly 1000$ because they decided to do do a "checkup" which consisted of a simple, are you feeling better? And because of that the whole visit was not covered by the insurance and they will not re-bill it. Also, every time we have gone there (4-5 times) they have added fake items on to the bill, this place is a scam. They will charge you triple rates for the same procedure compared to other practices in the area. I am going to intermountain. Don't fall for their pretty face, they are a bunch of theives.

My friend dislocated his ankle and had to spend 5 hours awaiting care including a shift change which lead to having to find a new doctor all during covid. In my opinion try to treat your patients in a timely manner and before you go home without any sort of hand off. I have not received the greatest care during my visit as well.

I hesitate to give a poor review for the U of U South Jordan Imaging Center because the technicians were so kind and helpful. But I really did have a frustrating experience with their Imaging department. My doctor called-in orders for a brain MRI and a C-Spine MRI to be performed at the same time. I usually have migraines for a few days after MRIs (even when I use ear plugs). So I wanted to have both MRIs performed in one sitting. The day before my appointment, I called to verify that the Imaging Center received both MRI requests. I had to speak with a few Customer Service Reps, but they finally found both MRI requests. Unfortunately, the Imaging Center still only performed the brain MRI even though I verified that they were performing two MRIs the day before. I had to make several phone calls to sort things out, and in the end, I had to set-up another appointment for the C-Spine MRI. At my second appointment, the Imaging Center performed the same spinal tests that they did the first time. That's when I knew they had performed both MRIs the first time, but somehow lost the results. (I don't have documented proof, though.)
After that MRI, the Imaging Center called me back and said that they had to perform a portion of the MRI again at a higher resolution. So, I had to go back a third time. After that appointment, my doctor never received those final results. I called the U of U South Jordan Imaging Center and they said there were no results. I had to make several more phone calls before discovering that the Imaging Center did have my results, but they were withholding them for some reason. I asked my doctor for help and they sent over another request for the results of the MRI. The Imaging Center replied to my doctor saying that one of their doctors (who interpreted my other MRIs) was out of town and they were waiting for him to return. (I do have documented proof of their response.) My doctor finally received the results a day or two later. I had weeks of migraines due to three MRI appointments and I also experienced a great deal of hassle and frustration.

We had a disappointing experience from the minute we pulled into the parking lot until the time we left. My husband had an appointment with radiology for an MRI. There was no parking! The nurses were unprofessional and rude. They didn't explain any of the process to either my husband or myself. They just called him back and left me sitting there for 2-1/2 hours without giving me any indication of what to expect. During the MRI, they didn't speak to my husband until the last 45 minutes. At that same time they turned his music off to speak to him and didn't turn it back on for him. He was uncomfortable throughout the MRI. He said they didn't explain anything that they were doing, they just did it. Completely different experience than we had at the UofU hospital in Salt Lake. I will drive the extra distance next time to get decent humans who speak and treat their patients like humans, instead of running around like programmed robots. Very unimpressed!! We won't be going there again.

I ve been to this urgent care several times because it s the closest to my house. Almost every time I ve had to wait a minimum of 45 minutes before getting into a room, even when I had the flu and could barely walk. I went there in April after I got in a car accident and the doctor said I seemed fine. He didn t take any xrays or do any other checks. My dad thought I had a concussion so I asked him if that was possible, and he said you might have a mild concussion, but there s nothing we can do about it. Just take it easy the next couple of weeks. Turns out I wasn t fine, and I ve been dealing with issues ever since. While I ve found the staff to be quite friendly, the overall level of care is pretty abysmal. It s unfortunate because the U is generally pretty great and I love going there for all of my regular doctors and appointments, but honestly if you can find another urgent care that s in your network and close to you I highly recommend doing so.

I would give a 0 if I could. I went in, in Oct 2014, asking for a Gyno. Been suffering with illness for 9 months as of today. Saw Dr. twice, couldn't find anything wrong. I went to Urologist and had a scope done. Nothing wrong. 700.00 later. Finally through a friend found out a possible diagnosis, Talked to my gyno, and turns out she was a midwife and couldn't diagnosis gynocological issues. When getting the referral I had been sure to go over all symptoms and said I need a Gyno. Another 130.00 later and 15 minutes with the gyno he diagnosed and prescribed something. For all my efforts, and wasted 1000.00, U of U gave me a 40.00 credit. (I have a 7000.00 deductible.) I finally decided to go in for my free mammogram. When all was said and done. they had charged me 1000.00 for a hospital visit, insurance cut it down to 420.00 Wrote letters and called insurance and ended up having to pay that 420.00 I will never set foot in their door again. Please make sure you know who you are going to see and all costs involved. I had a colonoscopy scheduled and cancelled because the Dr. will charge me a fee (new Dr.) The U of U will charge me another fee, and if they see anything a little strange they will charge for any advanced diagnosis. Even if it is false.

I am a long time patient of Catherine Platt. I got sick on Tuesday and sent a message. I did not hear back until Thursday morning with a message to call a number to see if you need to be seen. I sent 3 other messages and could see they were viewed but never acted upon. I called the clinic number and was told I had to have a Covid Test before I could be seen. I made an appointment at 7:15 am the following day and waited over an hour. The girl who gave me the tube said to fill to the fill line, it was ok if you went above but it had to be to the fill line. When I got to the tent I was told I was only to go to the fill line and they couldn t take the sample because it was past the fill line. And that they were having issues with this. So much miscommunication. I finally said just do the swab. I then had to wait for over 24 hours to get my results. Then had to call and make an appointment with urgent care. Three days with fever, vomiting and cough, and couldn t be seen. I am really let down on service for sick calls.

Wow. Let me start with I see my PCP here and have for the past 5 years. Never have I gone into the er here until today. I love my Dr. and other providers I have had to see here and have had nothing but a great experience! Until today. I woke up this morning to severe pain in my lower abdomen. Tried over the counter meds to help with this stabbing pain I continued to have and nothing helped. I felt nauseated from the pain and felt very low energy. Something wasn't right. I do not have insurance and I made the decision to be seen at the this er. I left the er in tears, no answers and no relief to my pain. I arrived to the er around 11 am with these symptoms, saw the dr and nurse once and then was left alone in my room since 11:30 am to around 2 pm. I had thrown up due to the amount of pain I was in and the dr offered me nausea meds to help. I accepted the offer and never heard or saw from the dr or the nurse for at least the next hour and a half. I was laying there in so much pain and nausea with no care from this er. Finally when the guy came in to draw up my blood, I asked him what was going on with my nausea meds as it was taking a very long time to receive them. He took my blood and said he will be back with my nurse. Another hour passes by and Dr. Raju comes in to tell me she cannot find anything wrong with my blood tests and that she is releasing me to go home. I was very upset and frustrated that this ENTIRE er visit my nausea or pain was not treated or addressed. They left me in that room for hours while I am in a lot of pain and suffering. Unacceptable care in my opinion. I ended up going to Jordan Valley hospital and immediately when I saw the er dr, she prescribes me meds for my pain and nausea. Thank you!!! She ordered a ct scan and now I have to take the results to my dr for an official diagnosis. I will never ever in my life go to that place again for anymore needs I have other than seeing my PCP who is great. Never again U of U at daybreak! You've lost my healthcare business as well as word of mouth to anyone I know who will plan on attending that er. Very very disappointed in the pain and nausea the Dr. let me suffer for hours with no relief!

I had endoscopy back surgery here yesterday the facility is great. The drs are amazing. The nurses were awesome. It ran very smooth, I m very impressed and I ve had to have several surgeries in my life. I wish I had known before hand that if my husband had gotten tested for Covid-19 and then quarantine with me then he could have been there when I woke up, but that s ok. I really loved their service. I already switched all of my drs in the past few months to UofU.

They kept giving my insurance company issues with making payments and tried double billing my auto insurance, my health insurance, and me for the same services and refused to call the other companies to get them the information they needed. Dont go here for urgent care. I went in with asthma problems, the doctor gave me a breathing treatment and wanted to send me home even though my oxygen was at 87 . I demanded she do a chest xray which she did . Came back fine. I told her I still didnt feel like I could breath. she said she couldn't do anything more for me so I went to Jordan Valley Emergency room. I was admitted and spent 3 day in the hospital with asperated asthma and rapid heart rate. Thanks for the Bill. :(

(Apparently my photos keep getting removed)I posted 3 pics of how I ended up after I had a nurse try to draw blood from me which is not the first time this happens here. I still don't know if the nurses are students which is maybe why they have a hard time drawing blood but its uncomfortable for me to have to deal with this every single time. Other than that the doctors and facility itself is clean and they are very friendly. I wonder if I could opt out of having a student draw my blood? Next time I visit I will be asking since this time the bruising is far worst than the first time.

I've been at their urgent care facility twice and I have NEVER been treated more disrespectfully in any professional setting in my life. Condescending, impatient, insensitive, apathetic - from the doctors to the nurses to the staff. I even caught the nurse Kristy insulting my wife (who was a patient at the moment) to her fellow staff. Even tho this is the closest medical center to our house, we make sure to go out our way to avoid them. Nothing is more nightmarish than being in a painful emergency situation and the hostile staff treats you like garbage. Stay away.

Radiology was horrible!!!! When the scheduler called to confirm my appointment she told me to arrive at 1300hrs and gave me the address and that was it. Trying to find this facility in theist of all the winding roads and round abouts was terrible!!! Further more the construction and poor signage made it difficult to ascertain where the entrance was while approaching from the east. Then I arrive and check in no one mentions to me that the appointment was actually at 1250 and I needed to arrive and checkin at 1245... sorry but I was not informed of this when I scheduled or when they contacted me. Then I sit down and fill all the paperwork and wait 27mins only to be told sorry but we're going to have to reschedule because you were late. I WAS LATE BECAUSE OF YOUR POOR COMMUNICATION and the difficulty in finding the facility with all the stupid round abouts that just get you lost!!! There was no understanding that I just traveled 35min just for this appointment. What a waste of time and a continued frustration with U OF U healthcare system. Your processes need improvement. I could go on about my initial ED visit at the main campus and how I was abandoned in a room twice for several hours and the lack of Care hat was provided. Overall if it wasn't a workers comp injury I would've choose IMC. The U system has all these process in place but when the staff don't utilize them it help no one and I the patient suffer. Thanks U for continuing to disposing and providing subpar care and customer service...

When we first started going to the South Jordan facility, we loved it. The doctors were great and so was the staff. In this past year, we have had NOTHING but trouble from every part of the organization.
Example 1: The Moran Eye Center staff "accidentally" changed our address to theirs, so we didn't get any bills until they went to collection - then took months to sort it all out.
Example 2: EVERY TIME we try to make an appointment to see our primary doctors now, the rude people who answer the phone question whether or not we need to see the doctor, why we need to see the doctor, and ask for incredibly personal information about why we're making an appointment. They often question whether we need to see the doctor at all and have even gone so far as to say we have make seperate appointments for each thing we want to talk to the doctor about (so they can bill insurance multiple times???). It's become obscene.
Example 3: The level of competence in the billing and appointment staff is frighteningly LOW.
Example 4: They are losing medical staff...good doctors are going elsewhere.
Example 5: Don't get bloodwork done at the lab unless you really love torture. We have witnessed and experienced multiple examples of poor quality blood draws, failed blood draws, and incredibly painful blood draws. ASK YOUR NURSE TO DO IT INSTEAD.

Do not go here. This place is the walmart of health care. The doctors i have seen are rushed and unable to provide thorough care. I was prescribed physical therapy, and the therapist can't see me for over a month. If you can't provide the treatment dont say you can. I now have to deal with an insurance nightmare because of having to change health cate providers. Don't waste your time here. If you have an injury that requires long term care just go somewhere else.

When I called for the appointment I asked about my insurance... I was told no problem you are covered, yes we take your insurance . GREAT I found a doctor but I still have to wait 4 months... So In September they called and said I could not see the doctor and would have to see the nurse practitioner instead ok let s just get this going I showed up today and they do not take my insurance I am out of network and SOL . I just wasted 4 months of time waiting for nothing, now I have to start all over Now this is not a life threatening problem but if it were it could be life threatening thanks for nothing

Went here wanting to see a specialist, paid $265 to see a doctor for 5 minutes. Was told they would contact me to schedule a visit to the specialist. A week later I got a call from someone to schedule something, they weren't sure my insurance would work with their specialist and they'd contact me back. A few weeks later I was contacted asking if I'd like to schedule 3 months in advance.
If you want health care in a timely manner aside from seeing an physician, go with IHC. It seems U of U healthcare is just too swamped to provide timely healthcare.

Dr. Kelley and his staff acted quickly to reduce my pain and seemed to have real compassion for me. I would highly recommend this location.

I had a Pediatrician for my kids for 11 years, unfortunately we had to move almost an hour away..... so decided to change pediatricians (bad idea) we went to see Dr Sarah Peterson at the U of U Health in South Jordan.... asking for a medication (topical oil) for itchy skin my kids have been prescribed and used for 10 years now.... has never caused any harm on my children since they new borns .... ( my kids have eczema) .... I told this to Dr Petersen about it and showed her all the medications my kids were taking and using ..... she is sending us to see an allergist ( which we have an appointment).... it s been two weeks my kids are itchy!!!

Are you kidding me???*You could not call me to tell me that last week???... If I look for another Pediatrician because we would be new patients that means more $$$ copays to pay, we will probably have to wait a few more weeks because new patients don t get appointments right away.....I wonder why she wouldn t know much about a medication that to my knowledge exists for the time my kids are alive??? ..... seriously I am so mad! When I went in to see her for the first time I took all of the bottles and also dosage of meds my kids were prescribed by their last pediatrician ... everything they were prescribed!!! They didn't even stick an IV in me or give me anything for my pain. (not even Advil) I was crying my eyes out because of how much pain I was in and they said "there is nothing we can do go to you primary caregiver if you are still in pain next week"

You get there early and wait an hour before they call you back, where you wait another hour because they can't keep to schedule or have people there who know what they're doing. WOW big mistake this has been the worst experience in medical care hands down. Dr. Hena Kundra was unconcerned with me as a person all she wanted was tests to look at and obviously charge me for. I still have the same issues I started with and now close to $2000.00 in medical bills That's after insurance!! Oh and guess what a referral to see another doctor. We have never had issue with seeing doctors and having test done just pay our copay and that is it. Now I'm in debt and still no answers. VERY unhappy with Uof U medical would not recommend.

I feel I need to voice how I felt about my experience from today's appointment. A little back story first, when I called I wanted to make an appointment for Dr. P. After telling the receptionist what was going on with me she insisted I speak to a MA. The MA and I went over what's been going on. She felt it was needed I come in sooner than the appointment I originally made. This made me feel like something was wrong with me and it was something of urgency to come in. No one told me to fast because they would be taking labs. I have never been seen by a doctor outside my OBGYN so I didn't know about the fasting rules. So I leave work early to get in when you had an open spot.
I come in for my appointment they go over everything and take my blood. I did get some pills that have so far helped with the pain. I left feeling ok about this appointment due to I was nervous and have never been seen by an internal medicine doctor. We scheduled a pelvic ultra sound for next week 11/24.
I then get a call 11/23 saying I need to come in to go over my results ! This made me feel so scared and nervous. My past if nothing is wrong they just go over them with you on the phone. They ask I come in asap, which would be the next day. I have a friend who is a nurse and she and I went over my results and she could not understand why I would need to go in and talk about them. She pointed out that my Triglycerides results were a little high but it could be due to I was not fasting. After she told me this that is when I started to get annoyed. I feel like this is your job to tell people what they need to do to prepare for appointments you know you will be taking labs at.
I hate to play this card but I am needing to tell you so you know where I am coming from. I am a single mom , my son doesn't have a father to help me out. I then have to arrange my life around this test results appointment that seems to be important. I go in 2 hours earlier to work to make up for the lost hours. I then have my father come to my house to watch my son and take him later in the day to daycare so I don't go over the hours allotted by them. The MA I talked to about this appointment told me I should fast this time bc of the results that came out where not accurate. So I do all of this work and show up and it was for nothing. The MA also that was going over details with me called my abdominal pain "Tummy aches". I am a adult and do not like to be talked to like a child. I stopped having "tummy aches" when I was 10. This is a professional setting and should be treated as so. The doctor came in said everything looked fine and we will wait till the pelvic ultra sound to make the next step (I would like to note my pelvic ultra sound is today at 6:15). I feel I went so out of my way for nothing ! I already think the medical system is a scam and for this to happen makes me feel like I was right to feel that way. You make people jump through hoops. My first appointment I should have gotten the pelvic ultra sound instead of paying multiple copays to find out what's wrong. After I am finished with whatever is wrong or not wrong with me I will not be coming back to your facility no matter how close it is to my house. What happened to me today should not happen to anyone else. No one should have to come in and take 2 hours of out there day to have a doctor tell them there results came back fine.

Disappointed with the lab and testing for covid from this location. I sat in a vehicle line for 2 or 3 hours for testing, set up the mychart app and account, then checked each hour for results. Next day same thing no results. Today the 4th day I received no messages or calls concerning my results and called.
The person didnt complete the test correctly resulting in a failed test and the lab or hospital failed to inform me so I can get tested done..
A ruined B-day for my significant other and longer time that I cannot go back to work.
If you are here for testing cross your fingers they dont screw up or the very least call or message to inform you of issues.

This review is for services/issues from 2015. I just now remembered I never left a review and I feel I should as everyone else should be warned of their HORRIBLE customer care from the billing department. They may have the great doctors but if you get screwed out of $700 you should think again about going there.
I developed a hernia that required surgery. So with my new billing plan through my wife's work we took out an HSA account of $1000 in October of 2014 as we knew we'd have extra medical expenses. We're both in our late 20's and are exceptionally healthy otherwise so really hardly go to the DR so the ONLY reason we'd take out the $1000 is for the purpose of the surgery.
Basically the billing department charged as at the time of service (january 2015) and then we received two bills in the mail which we paid the first (thinking it was our portion) on in Marchish and one in April/May. But when we realized that they were over charging us my wife called our insurance and said they'd never even been sent a bill for some of the services (anesthesioligist)! Why the hell the billing department would bill us BEFORE sending it into the insurance I don't know. So based on the info from our VERY helpful insurance we found out that the South Jordan U of U had over charged us already. Between Dr visits pre-surgery and the bills from the Dr we'd had to use our personal CC as well as all the money from our HSA.
So my wife calls in to get a refund and to tell them to refund our us and to bill our insurance. They apologize and what not.
A week or two later when we notice the refund had gone through we noticed they'd refunded our HSA instead of our personal CC. So my wife calls back and tells them they need to reverse it and refund our personal CC because we wanted to pay the surgery using our HSA (duh?) But they say they "can't because policy is they have to refund using the system of payment that sent us into over charge." Therefore they "couldn't help us" because of their f*ing policy.
This is incredibly inane for a LARGE variety of reasons
#1. They are the ones that over charged us in the first place. It is their negligence and poor customer service who caused this issue they should override THEIR policies to fix the issue they created. It is NOT my responsibility to make sure they bill my insurance, I gave them the info. I guarantee their crooks who simply knew the insurance wouldn't pay the same amount of money that we would.
#2. We did NOT pay with our personal CC at the time of service, why would we when we knew we had an HSA with money on it that needed to be used? But they kept insisting we used the HSA after using our CC despite showing them proof.
#3. They claimed they couldn't "reverse the refund they'd given us on our personal CC". I've never met more incompetent people! First of all, if CC companies didn't allow for things like reversals they'd be in a world of damage because people make mistakes ALL of the time. 2 they could also have just rebilled us and then refunded it to another card. Screw policies. Policies are just a bunch of written words to keep your business clean BUT if you created the issue you made the mess and you need to do all in your power to clean it up.
#4. Even if the HSA was the last card we used to pay, you could out of the need to provide best in class customer service because that's your motto help out a customer that made a mistake. Instead of digging your heels up your ass.
As a result of horrible customer service and just horrible business management we lost close to $700 on our HSA that expired in October because we didn't have any other "medical expenses" that could possibly use or consume that much money.
The business is crooked and I would highly recommend you go somewhere else if and where possible.
OR at the very least NOT giving them a dime until you've verified every cent is what you're supposed to be paying. I never thought I'd see the day where the insurance company was easier and more willing to work with me than the medical office.

This place rocks. I needed to get lab work done and meet with a doc, and was worried it was going to take up my whole morning.
The moment I walked in there are two greeters ready to immediately answer my questions about where to go. Lab check in was fast, wait was fairly short (about 5 minutes).
Then on to the automated kiosks for a super fast check in and another very short wait.
Bottom line? Clean, simple, easy, fast. Two needs taken care of on a Friday morning in just under an hour. Love this place!

Lack of professionalism. I'm currently sitting bedside of a good friend who unfortunately suffered a seizure. While waiting for the test results to come back, myself and my friend can overhear the EMT and nurse staff making jokes and speaking rudely about the situation, all while standing no less than 10 feet outside the door. The staff seems very young, yet that is no excuse for such poor manners in a place where you are supposed to feel safe and taken care of in your time of need.
If I had the names of the individuals I would call them out publicly as they are a prime example of the lack of professional training that is provided and also reflects poorly on the parents of these people. The Dr that has been assigned over my friend has been the only reason this review wasn't worse. He has been very helpful, patient and sweet. Please address these issues and the other negative experiences expressed by others. Thank you.

Dr. Chen was not very thorough. He only listened to my lungs - he didn't look in my throat, or ears or do a any sort of flu or strep test despite a sore throat and flu symptoms. I gave him a paper with my symptoms so I didn't have to talk as much and I don't think anyone even read it.

Went to the South Jordan ER, the staff was amazing and I am impressed with the building. The clinic rooms were clean and comfortable. Only suggestion in the facility would be to have a TV in each of EM clinic rooms. This would engage the patient and family while waiting.
The parking situation is inadequate to the point where patients are waiting for a car to leave. The surrounding parking on the street is full. Trax passengers park in any space available. These bugs can be worked out tho. Heh how about a parking structure?
