If you d like to see how SCDOT takes care of residents abutting state roads, take a drive past 711 M Avenue in the City of Cayce. Be careful! Do not try to walk on the road shoulder or you might drown. It s reportedly been like this for at least two days and damages look like they ll be in the thousands. The lack of maintenance of the right-of-ways/drainageways by SCDOT and the city makes this kind of flooding in our neighborhoods a decades old recurring problem.
