South bend police department Review

The south bend police force is extremely disorganized and rude. They live life with zero repercussions for all the terrable things they do and treat over half of the community like peasants while still demanding the respect they "deserve". If you're lucky enough to get one of the very few decent human beings on this police force consider yourself blessed because the number of terrable experiences outweighs the number of pleasant experiences exponentially.

If I could give zero or even better a negative rating I would.
The South Bend police department has just lost any respect I had for them. They are completely unprofessional and untrustworthy. I can say I had no problems whatsoever with them before, but after being a victim of their unlawful behavior, I will certainly be taking whatever steps needed to make sure they are held accountable.
Denying me my rights is not okay in the least! Police and other authority figures break the laws continuously with no repercussions and they usually don't interfere with me, but this is inexcusable.
They performed an unwarranted, unlawful search of my vehicle outside my work with absolutely no reason to ever open a door. My rights were violated and I have a feeling this is a regular behavior of the one officer or even goes to prove how corrupt the entire department is.
The officer's startled reacting upon my interrupting the search makes me feel he absolutely knew he was doing something illegal and that makes the act so much worse in my opinion.
If they cant be trusted to follow the laws then they certainly can't be trusted to protect us and enforce the laws. That is their only purpose and they can't even do that.

Officer Scotkowski was amazingly professional, helpful, and respectful during a very difficult situation. He was kind and generous with his time and offered great comfort to those present. Many thanks to all those in Blue (and Brown & Green) who serve to keep us all safe.

According to the Governors order media is considered essential and for Law enforcement to deem who's media and who's not is above his IQ. Independent journalist are considered media. They don't have to carry credentials to report any and all news. South Bend PD need to enforce laws and laws only. Independent journalists get news that mainstream media won't cover

Handcuffs were very comfortable not too tight lots of padding, very roomy in the back of the car they even helped me in and shut the door for me, such gentlemen. Fast ride to the police station didn't have to stop at lights, warm welcoming to the jail with a brand new change of clothes and shoes,very fashionable, board and food was complimentary and the staff was there 24/7. Overall a 10/10 will definately be planning another stay with them.

Great staff! The rooms were a little small but I had an overall great experience staying there a few nights. The chauffeur was a little bit speedy . Definitely didn t obey traffic laws, but I made it in once peace thankfully. The room service was my favorite part! Amazing meals. My compliments to the chef! I definitely plan on visiting again.

Go easy on these guys, it's South Bend for crying out loud, I hear gunshots like once a week at my house. These cops are stressed to high hell, so much crime here, look at a crime map of the US and stop getting yourselves in trouble.

To the female officer who helped me tonight on Mayflower Rd... I greatly appreciate it. You went above and beyond "to serve & protect". South Bend is lucky to have you as a police officer!

I was falsely accused of stealing and i even called the cops myself who does that as a thief! I had my children with me it traumatized my daughter bad the idian man said he had evidence on camera but refused to show it with this being said at the end of the day that indian man called me begging for forgiveness because i was the wrong person he had accused and that female officer i hope she see this because i told you he was going to end up doing that im a good person thanks for the serve and protect and kicked me off the property and i called corporate there an investigation going on now for them. Im a victim not a thief and now my daughter dont trust cops thank you also for that

I was alone in my home afraid someone was breaking in just like before. They arrived on my property promptly making sure my home was secure. They are professional, respectful and fast. Thank you for making me feel safe.
