I unintentionally walked into the bar carrying my t-shirt..I was told rudely by one of the staff to put my top on or I won't serve you..I would have preferred...Would you mind putting on your top.thank you...train your staff properly.

Arrived for lunch at this wonderfully situated cafe looking forward to the menu we have been used to over the years we have been coming. We were disappointed as it seems to have changed hands and the menu didn't have any of our favourites. We had friends from Holland and London. The pizza's were missing and the Greek salad. My husband, who is a vegetarian and has to have low carb food, could only find a starter that was suitable. I struggled to find a nice salad for a vegetarian and went for a pasta salad. It was just spinach leaves with asparagus and some tasteless pasta. It was awful, the worst salad I've ever had. My husband went and asked for some cheese. This was also tasteless. Then he went and got me some sweet potato chips. What a way to treat customers. Unfortunately we may not feel like coming back. Such a shame as we love it there.

Ok place to come for a drink as the view is great, but drink selection is limited. Average bar nibbles. After 9pm atmosphere dropped off (midweek)

Have always popped in here on our trips to Tenby. Friendly staff, nice decor, stunning views. Always surprised the prices aren't higher for the location. Gutted to miss out on the Sunday Roast sharing platter this time as booked up. The kids menus are also very reasonably priced.
Yes there is some sand at the entrance, it is right on the beach.....

Pleasant staff great for a coffee and WiFi or a whole meal. Venue very bespoke with many thoughtful touches. Have used each time when visiting Tenby and always pip in if passing wind rain or shine :) would recommend the same from individuals to do families.

As a local, I've been here a number of times. Each time hoping that my experience improves from the last one. Unfortunately the
Is has not been the case. Service is always slow and very sloppy. Yesterday my family and I went just for drinks and they even ruined that experience by forgetting a drink off a simple order and when it did arrive the quality was very poor. I will definitely won't return!

During this time, he can not assess the quality. But the look of the city gives the impression of quality.

Poor service, incompetent staff, poor food, nice location. If it were anywhere else it would've gone out of business. Relies on the fact that there's always a steady stream of tourists.

When asked "Have you got rum?" Bartender replied "What's Grum?", Then, when he actually realised that we wanted Rum, he had to go and ask someone....

Really great casual dining. The salt and pepper squid was amazing.

Second experience there today of poor service ,although its school holiday time it wasnt exactly over busy there but having to wait nearly an hour for food i think is unacceptable,when it did arrive it was lovely and reasonably priced but nobody bothered to ask if our meal was ok or did we want any more drinks,totally didnt give a toss,such a shame as it really is a fab place in the best location....you've let me down twice now though,i wont be back again.

Great beach restaurant in Tenby. Lovely outdoor terrace for when the weather is nice which looks directly over the beach. Great for and afternoon drink, cocktails snacks or meals.

Great location, great staff, great coffee and a good value kids and lunch menu. Kids enjoyed their lunch and we did too. We will be back!

Got our order wrong,they did put this right & then we realised that both mine & my wifes order was missing a key ingredient. Did point this out to staff.Both my wife & myself had finished our food by the time my daughters came.Did tell staff but "nothing" could be done.Good surroundings shame about the food.

Beautiful views, obviously as it's right by the sea. Friendly & helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Food was lovely too.

Only one star you say! Beautiful venue and staff that are trying hard. So what is the problem? Pigeons and lots of them, landing on the tables and eating any waste food left. Pigeons carry diseases and this is a matter that urgent needs attention. To be honest the staff are aware and trying to do their best but they are not able to take practical actions to reduce the nuisance because they don't own the premises. Such a shame.

Never again..... Food was cold, staff inexperienced. Wish I had read others reviews before visiting

After a lovely week we finished our holiday with a meal at South Beach Restaurant.
Well what can I say, considering the Covid situation and only being open recently they did themselves proud this evening
We were showed to our table promptly and drinks were served within 10 minutes.
On return orders were taken, food came in good time and all starters and main were hot and tasty.
Deserts were lovely too.
The price was great for the meal.
Thank you Louise for a lovely evening and great service, also to all the staff for a lovely evening.

Only stopped off for a drink, found it a bit on the expensive side but still a lovely place, no food allowed outside because of the gulls, they're quite brazen lol, staff are efficient and it can get quite busy so be prepared to wait a while to be served, would definitely recommend paying a visit.

Great food and good service, cracking spot right on the beach.

We went off peak, drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and the food; chips, bread and a sandwich took almost an hour. We will be avoiding this place in the future.

Visited during Covid restrictions. Well managed social distancing. Although not seen at its best, thumbs up for working hard to keep your visitors safe.

Great location, Shame about the poor service. Been here several times now just for a drink. It's all table service so they won't serve you at the bar - fair enough. Except it takes around 15 mins for anyone to come and take your order, this last time it then took another 30 mins for our order (1 bottle of wine) to arrive. Other customers were struggling to get someone's attention for a second drink. This was all on an average Saturday out of holiday time. I dread to think how long this would take in high season!

Nice place and good service, though I think we got lucky the day we visited.

Me and my partner went down for a drink and were thinking about food. We found a nice place outside in the sun waited for about 10 minutes to be served. I then went up to the bar and asked if I could order a drink . I was told to sit down and someone would come and take my drinks order after waiting another 30 minuites we decided to leave. Got a chippy instead.

Very slow service, drinks order taken as soon as we came in but took 15 minutes to get our drinks, when the food finally arrived it was warm not hot

Great location,sadly everything else was lacking. We where told they weren't taking food orders outside after being given 3 different reasons why. Then 5 mins later observed them taking food orders outside again.
Plates piled up on tables . Pigeons flying in for their tea. So sad. This place could be so much more.

Fantastic service. Excellent food and great variety. If you enjoy watching the waves roll in and people watching this is the place for you.

The food was gorgeous. A little over priced but huge portions. Room for wheelchair users and people with pushairs

It was a bit pricey for me so docnt eat .the larger was ok price .you can't just go the bar and get a pint it's table service but it's nice to sit outside and have a pint

Have always had a nice time sitting outside facing the beach, just this time the pigeons constantly swooping down for food scraps was a little irritating.

Lovey staff and food great have been twice on two days to eat and drink nice rest spot.

We didn't have the fish finger sandwiches because we were running out of time, but the people on the next table did. The sandwiches looked amazing.

Been nearly everyday whilst we have been on holiday, sitting outside not even a metre away from the beach - what more could you ask for -.

Love the staff here, they are very friendly and engaging and are all suited to working at a restaurant / bar which is virtually on a beach.

We don t normally stay long at bars but at this one we have to force ourselves to leave.

A must for anyone living in or visiting Tenby.

Great views of the fantastic beach, great food and dog Ice cream served.

Dropped in here Feb 2020 and had two early evening meals.. Burger and steak we both agreed were the best we have ever tasted. We will return in summer, as the view and whole experience were unmatched.

Lovely meals including the kids food but painfully slow service. Could just do with a few more staff on as it's rammed.

Nice place for a pint after a dog walk but a bit disorganized for food. Staff were pleasant but said kitchen was closing at 8:45! (So we didn't eat there)

On holiday at kiln park this week, been to south beach bar & grill twice while staying absolutely great, brilliant food and fantastic service. As for the view...could ask for anything better stunning view right on the beach, carpark right next to it.

Only giving to two stars for the great view, the service was terrible. A family sent there food back, 4 other groups walked out because they where sick of waiting we ordered our drinks before 3 other couples and got them last after waiting 25 minutes for drinks! The toilets were dirty and unkept . There was smashed glass on the floor that went unnoticed (ignored) for as long as we were here (1hr) until a gentleman pointed it out to a waitress. It was suprising as there were many family's with small children who could have injured themselves. Even after the gentleman approached the waitress nothing was done about it immediately. All I can say is that we saw lots of very disappointed people.

Fantastic looking place, whoever designed the interior is a genius. Classic chain though. I mean, when you ask for an orange juice, the poor guy is forced by sone unseen power to put five huge ice cubes in it. When you say you don't want much ice, he laughs nervously and just puts four huge pieces of ice in. Then you can see how easy it is to get three glasses of orange juice out of half a carton of orange juice.

Got a really nice breakfast here,loads of seating inside & out with great views right onto the beach,definitely worth a visit

Fantastic location, good food, good menu, great looking place.....now if only you could find some staff that were half decent it wouldn't all be wasted. 15 tables in last night, 4 waitress's and 2 bar staff. Seated quickly then 20 min wait for one waitress to come and take our drinks order. Drinks were poured and put on a tray at the bar.......and left there for another 10 mins, a different waitress even came to take our food order before the drinks were bought over. Starters arrived (a different waitress again) a little slow but no real complaint. Finished the starters, nice.....finished the drinks......no sign of anyone coming to clear the table.......mains show up! Waitress has to put the mains to one side so she can clear the table first to make room. Ordered more drinks and request replacement cutlery for those used with the starters. Drinks had the same experience as before - nearly finished the mains before someone carried them over to us and got our own replacement cutlery off the next table after 5 mins sitting looking at the mains. Table not cleared again, fetched our own menus to look at the deserts as no one was coming (only 8 tables left in now, a couple next to us asked for the bill and were still sitting at the table after we left) and were just left sitting with our empty plates in front of us. Gave up waiting to order deserts after 10 mins and had to go and stand at the till to pay.....after waiting for someone to notice us there. Didn't ask how the meal was just took the payment and walked off.
Such a waste of a great looking place with good food in a great location. I understand they will make the money in the summer with different people each week who do not know any better, but as a local I will not rush to return or recommend it to anyone. Just goes to show, you can have all the right ideas but get the staff wrong and nothing else really matters.

The food was amazing, especially their sticky toffee pudding with custard. One of my top 5 places as my school group travel across the UK. Shout out to staff, especially Jasmine and her coworkerco
