Excellent meal! A bit of a wait (1h) Saturday afternoon ... but seeing the chef's show and trying the food I think it's worth it.

I love Samurai, but Samurai carry-out is not a good idea.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away of this place, it is the worse restaurant experience I have in the last few years, from service to food,
Management is horrible,
Never again.

The wait time is ridiculously long and no reservations. No parking and practically forced to do valet parking. It's terrible.

Birthday Celebration
Yesterday 01/17/18 we visited Samurai for my Husband birthday celebration. When we arrived we encountered the manager arguing with a homeless man that was trying to go into the restaurant. so we went in and we were sitted everything was go to that part. We had a chef skinny oriental man no carisma no entertainment. He just cooked served the food and was done. My son steak i request well done he gave it to us rare. My son was hungry yet he started with adults not with child. Very disapointing. In addition when we ordered the appetizer he started cooking already so when i requested to cancel the order the waitress didnt cancel the order brought the food. so we had the food being cooked and the appetizer at the same time......Overall not bad but not what we expected.

This is my all time favorite restaurant. I ve been coming here for so many years, and it s amazing. The food is delicious, and the place is very clean. The only thing is that this restaurant is usually packed with a lot of people, so to be seated takes a while. It s worth the wait!

Get ready to wait 2 hours on a Friday or Saturday night. So good though.

Okay lunch special, slow service and mediocre customer interaction.

Friendly staff, fun times, glad they have valet parking now, dinning room is a bit tight, and the smell of oil in the air could be dealt with.

I once loved this restaurant hadn't been there in years -moved..is nowhere not even close to what it was. The food is horrible. I had to keep taking the soy sauce from the cook (non was offered) to make the shrimp fried rice) edible
NOTHING WAS GOOD...

Went there last night for the 1st time for sushi. The waitress was nice but was she was lost. She didn't know anything about sushi or the menu. She came by a total of 3 times from start to finish. The sushi tables were packed so close together that the staff and customers kept bumping me and other customers to get past the entire time. It was 6pm on a Thursday and all of the staff was in a rush and looked extremely stressed. I could have dealt with all that if the food was good but the sushi was sub par at best. The other food might be good but the sushi was horrible. Just my 2 cents.

I love it here. I try to bring my family here at least once every month. its fun, food is delicious and the chefs are very funny.

Lunch combo was great, filet mignon, soup, veggies and chicken rice was only about 20$.

Today our lunch took nearly an hour to arrive. The meat and veggies were cold. It was hard get a refill on the water and ice tea. Last time was the same story with the wait and sub par food. It's hard to find consistently good food at a restaurant, but when you strike out with the bad service and long wait time it's hard to want to go back.

I did not like it ... I ordered a $ 24 seafoof evil ... and what they served me had no seefood or spices ... the truth was disappointing.

Great food but the chef who serve us wasn't in much of the mood to do anything that day. Other than that service was good

It was just ok. Food was good but the service was mediocre. I won't be rushing back. The girl at the front asked for our names told it would be a 45 minute wait (this was a 9 pm) gave us the little device that notifies us that our table is ready and we sat and waited all 45 minutes. When we were going to be seated..we advised we didn't want the hibachi seating and she THEN told us those tables were first come first serve and we could have sat there at anytime....but she never told us that. It was annoying to know we sat there for 45 minutes when in that time we could have sat there eaten and been gone by then.

There are no words to describe how well you spend here.

Terrible service everything took so long, 3-4 tables that were sat after us received drinks and food before us. HOW SWAY?

We came in for my wifes birthday tonight. They brought my wife, son, daughter, and I to an empty table. So, we sit down in the four chairs in the front center of the table ready to watch the show of the chef. We are there for 5-8 minutes, waiting for someone to take our drink order. No one ever comes. Chef comes to our table and we are happy to see a nice Filipino lady for our chef(my wife is also Filipino). A couple of minutes later the hostess bring 4 more people to the table and tell us we need to move over?!?!? Why do we need to move over to the side of the table and no longer have our seats in the front to see the chef perform the cooking show???? Why not place 2 people to the right, and/or 2 to the left? Why should we have to give our good seats to someone else? Why should strangers come move us, if we are here first??? The hostess should have at least asked us if we mind, instead of bringing them to us first. So, we left. Thanks for making my wifes birthday so special....

food is good, service is rushed, but it has always been rushed. it appears the portion sizes keep getting smaller

Food was okay, service was great and I had good company. the price is what discourages me from going back. Two adult meals, One kids meal and we shared a beer and it was $100. I know it can be pricey but I wasn't expecting to spend so much. Maybe I should have known better but I could have spend the same and had better for somewhere else and be okay with the cost.

How do I start? From the moment I walked in it was terrible. The hostess was rude and had major attitude. We sat at the regular tables, that were all filthy when we arrived. The food was mediocre for the price. I bit into chicken with cartilage not once, but TWICE. As if all of that wasn t enough, there were two employees across from my table yelling about sports and what teams were losing. The only good thing was that our waiter was very kind, that was it. Never ever ever going back there.

We are used to going to hibachi style restaurants. We have heard great reviews of Samurai so we decided to try it out ourselves. The food was great, no complaints, but the chef was absolutely horrible!!! He was rude, didn't really speak and when he did, he seemed annoyed! We asked him questions and he would answer back sarcastically. He was quite young and I don't know if he was new, or had a long day, but he didn't seem like he wanted to be with us, or at work period! This was my husband's bday dinner and it was a party of 12 and he just ruined the vibe!!! It's sad how one experience such as this day can be someone's lasting impression. So as for now, I am not going back. I'll stay at my local spot at the Southland Mall. I believe it's called Moon Thai or Stir Moon. They care and they're always ready to give a show. Maybe Samurai is not about the show, but common courtesy and customer service goes a long way. The sad part is, we have pictures of our day there with the chef in them. But, I definitely don't want anyone to lose their job, but I am hopeful that the managers have a meeting with their staff about customer service. Just Horrible!

Good food but if you decide to go, it's better to expect a long wait time.

It can be a hassle as far as parking goes or waiting to get seated when it's fully packed but all in all great food great prices and a heck of a lot of fun

While the food is great, they force their patrons to vallet park. The company they use is manned by a bunch of teenagers who cant drive. I was there February 14, 2020. It was a rainy afternoon and they drove my car into a wall scratching and permanently denting it. I noticed the morning after. When I called to complain I got the run around. I will never patronize this restaurant again, and will continue to tell all my family and friends about this costly experience.

Impressive and entertaining to watch, and the food is good. Good for dates and special events too

My children love this place. It's as easy going for a family as it is for a business lunch date or just a casual one for that matter. The atmosphere is amazing the chef are always very happy and excited to cook for you. Over all I love this place!

Food no so good , more expensive than other hibachi places , no where to park , only valet .

Love their food! I used to come here all the time. Their presentation of food is fantastic and tastes great. Although there's usually a wait it's totally worth it.

I used to love it here but it's just becoming run down and in need of some repairs and maybe a remodel. The vent was dripping on this women at my tables her entire meal. The manager eventually wiped it with a special stick rag that they have. Really though ??....

Took my kids for the experience and they loved it and can't wait to go again. The food was very good as well.

Nice place food very good and nice attention. The only bad is the access is very complicated to get in the parking lot just 1 entrance close to important intersection US 1 and 136 st, if you missed the turn you to comeback pass the US 1 and return because U turn is not permitted. The best if you pass the entrance park In the next mall and walk to restaurant.

The food is always super fresh and cooked to perfection! The chefs put on a great show and the service is always amazing! Definitely recommend!

This place prides itself on all dishes cocked to order right in front of you on a hot plate. Some chefs also do some minor juggling acts to keep the customers entertained. The dishes are fine and reasonably priced, but the air circulation there is not as good as it should be, and you come out smelling like what you ate.

The place is super good. The food and service impecable. We had to wait a little bit, but it's worth it.

Love the place! We went on a Thursday at 7 PM and we had to wait like 20 minutes to get a table. It is always full, but waiting is worthed! They have delicious food, the service is fast and the staff is friendly! We spent $80 in two taking drinks and two main courses.

The service was very nice. The food was great and the sake was simply amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Last of the original Benihanas.....hot Japanese food along with sushi....bit over priced and too many divisions in restaurant give the feeling of being 2 different restaurants in one.

Food was good. Service needs improvement though. Waiter slow to deliver on our food at the sushi bar. Very hot and as stuffy The air conditioning needs repair. It was raining, storming outside and the roof was leaking. We had to move over 2 tables because water kept coming down. Leaky roof is not a good thing and a friend t that frequents often told me that they are always having roof and cooling issues there.

Couldn't get parking, they had like 20 spots for regular parking and everything else blocked with valley cones, around 40-50 spots, more than half empty. I had no cash on me. When I was leaving I talked to valet guy about their problem, instead of offering us a spot, he said yes there is no parking. I told him it is not right, I'm as a customer leaving when you have valet parking empty. He told me to talk to a manger and wish me a good day! Terrible service! Manger needs to get involved more often with valet situation. Customers are leaving next door with free parking, good food too. "Chana" is a place to go, if you face same problem! Great servises too!

I love this cuisine and if you like a place where they can cook the good right in front of you this is the perfect place to be.

Excellent place to go been coming here for over 15 years.. Excellent food drinks are always on point as well as the chef this place never fails me...
