We went to celebrate my mom's 89th birthday..our chef was Derrick..HE IS AMAZING!!!! THE BEST CHEF THERE!!! My mom had a great time!!!

Located on U.S. 1 and SW 136th St., across the street from Bloomingdales. Highly skilled and well-trained, your personal chef will entertain you while cooking such favorites as steak, chicken, seafood and fresh vegetables in traditional Japanese style on a hibachi table. Samurai does not accept reservations.
We offer complimentary valet parking for dinner Monday Wednesday from 5PM Close and during lunch and dinner Thursday Sunday.

Me and my husband have been coming here since our very first date 8 years ago. Love the atmosphere and the food is always great. Most of the chefs are really good at what they do. The wait staff is always kind but some of them are very busy. The wait can be the worst part but as long as you are there by 6:30 its manageable. Saturdays and Sundays really depends on how lucky you are.

Very good food all very fast and a first class attention, even for children is a pleasant and fun place.

The food was good much better than benihana. My only complaint is the parking and they don't have take reservations. So you may to wait 90 min or more

Best deal is the lunch specials, otherwise it's grossly overpriced. Food is fresh and good, but over use of sauces in my opinion.

Wow! I truly love this place, I always get seated within a reasonable time even when it's busy, but usually I make a reservation and walk right in. The chefs do put on a show and the food is super fresh and delicious. Wife's always asking for this restaurant as a birthday dinner and they always accommodate our large groups without a hitch.

Great. My kids love this place, and its always entertaining! But waits for a table can be LONG and there's almost no parking unless you use valet (which we don't like doing).

Horrible place people took one hour just to come and order drinks

Man, this chicken is delicious! I have been wanting to try this place for forever and I finally got the chance. I ordered the tenders meal and the slider meal( combo #1 and combo #2). I also got a side order of macaroni and cheese for free with a Yelp Check-In. My meals with one drink were about 26 dollars. The meals are super generous. The chicken tenders are huge and the hot sauce with Dave's sauce is soooo flavorful. They give you a lot of fries and seasoned. The sliders are also massive. I also liked the macaroni. I tried the extra hot flavor and it was a bit much for me, but it was still good. Service is quick and friendly.

Atmosphere is great, food is always great, and entertaining to watch your food being cooked.

It s an amazing place and not only do u get to eat amazing food u get to see them cook in action it s a beautiful place and i rate it 5 stars because it shows u how they do everything,has amazing food,and everyone s nice.

O.M.G this place is awesome !!!!!!! Love this place came to eat enjoy every minute of it was packed we had to wait like an hour but it was worth the wait we had a waitress name Kelly she was awesome she helped us a lot. A little expensive but also a lot of food

Yesterday I came here to eat now the food was great but I noticed twice that the when they where cleaning the metal it went to my husband plate twice also I had to ask the chef
Like 5 time for there sauce and at the end our bill was for 2 people $141.with no appetizer and 1 soda I think is extremely pricey now when I woke up this morning I noticed on the bill that they charge me for 2 extra rice it's to bad but I don't think we will be dining there for a while

Is my first time in this restaurant,I think is ok,but I'm not sure I come back,I don't like a place that I can smell food ,I order sushi ,it was ok ..nothing special,valet parking was for free .

Parking is a big not good. Food is nice but price is too hight. No going back again. Cor the same money I have more and better options.

Always a great experience! They are taking extra precautions during covid so I highly recommend may not be the exact experience but at least you know you and your loved ones are in good hands!

Last couple of time we've been there the food quality at the bar (not the hibachi tables), and the service has been subpar. Very disappointed.

Food is very good and ambience is nice. Very clean location with good staff. I find it a tad expensive but it is OK for the money. Not a rip off but not a great value either. I think it is about as expensive as it can get but you don't feel that it was not worth it.

Not sure how this restaurant has stayed in business for so long. The food is so-so, not cooked by Japanese chefs (.inimal show while preparing food) and the price is pricey. Two persons in my party got diarrhea before leaving the restaurant. Need I say more?

AIR CONDITIONER is not working for 6 months. You go there and try to have a good food experience but with the "HOT" grill and the Air Conditioner not working what a "HORRIBLE" DINING experience save yourself the heat and the agrevation GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

Been here a countless amount of times and had amazing food every time time. Totally recommend the shrimp sauce (it's the best i put it on everything) and to eat at the hibachi tables where a chef comes and cooks your food right in front of you. You won't regret coming here. It's my favorite restaurant in Miami.

Hello everyone, My experience at Samuri was less than satisfactory today. When I walked in with my brother (who just returned from Afghanistan) to have a seat at the bar, the bartender Sonny ( who seemed very busy ) looked at my brother and sort of spat the words, "That seat is taken!" My brother began to move but I guess not fast enough for Sonny because he said again to my brother someone is sitting there, my brother then replied "Ok. Sorry about that Sir
" At this time Sonny walked away to the back i guess came back and began to make other drinks.. By this time we had been sitting there for what felt like 10 minutes and still no greeting, no i will be right with you, no menu, no acknowledgement execpt for asking my brother to move from this guys seat. Now the bar was not packed. The whole left side where we sat was empty. Expect for the invisible guy whose seat my brother was apparently sitting in. Finally Sonny comes and gives us napkins and a menu and says he will be right with us. About a few minutes later my brother orders a water and i order a drink. Our drink comes and then we put in our order for food. The food comes its great. When its time to leave we get our check and sign the receipt. Now im not sure if this always packed restaurant is short on pens but as im leaving Sonny yells out across the restaurant ( very unprofessionally ) "Hey, You have my pen!!!" Mind you guys i am at the door, everyone looks at me, very embarrassing, i give him the pen back which i mistakenly kept back to him. How humiliating! As if i did not just spend over $50.00 dollars in the restaurant. For this reason i give this place a one star because Sonny did not have to embarrass me like that over a pen. I would buy them a box of pens if it is that serious... I will not recommend this place or be returning let alone bringing any of my other family members there for a while.. Sonny's demeanor was as if he was under the influence of something to make him move as fast and act what seemed irritable.

Long wait but worth it. Sergio the cook was great. Great show and food was delicious. Server and the whole experience was fabulous. Thank you all first time out during the pandemic. Again thank you and will definitely will return.

Great food. Great service. The chefs put on an entertaining show. The only thing is the wait.

Called ahead at 6:30 pm to see if dine in was available and if reservations needed to be made. Was advised dine in was available, no reservation, first come first serve and masks must be worn. We arrived at 7:02 pm and was told that we could not put our name on the list due to the curfew. Was not told anything about the curfew when I called and they would not take any names after 7:00 pm. Had no choice but to order take out.
Food was cold, 1/2 of the regular portions, chicken and vegetables were not edible, shrimp had the tails on them, friend rice not even close to what you eat at the restaurant. Total waste of money. I would have enjoyed eating at McDonald instead.
Take-out is by no means worth the money.

My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. The service and quality is A+
The food is fresh and prepared daily. Recently I was able to be the chef and it was the best experience ever. Chef Jaime, Han, Annie, and Panos were amazing. My family and I truly appreciate your hospitality. My kids will never forget the time dad cooked for them at Samurai!

We went there after 3 p.m. looking to purchase dinner meals. Apparently they were still offering lunch at the same time so everyone at our table ordered lunch. Our portions still look like lunch portions.

food is good. expect a long wait during weekend. can be somewhat pricey per entree.

We went on 08\12\20. This is the 1st time I've come and was aggravated & disappointed..1st they skipped over us when it came to us being called for a table.. we waited for 2 hours. Then they claimed they called us, but our phones were with us the whole time, so that was a lie. Secondly, our chef undercooked the chicken..I had to tell him to put my chicken back on the grill..smh. Thirdly, they charged us separately for my daughter's drink and as long as we've been going their a drink comes with the kids meals. Fourthly, I asked the waiter for the dessert menu..he said there was no need, because he knows the desserts, so he goes over them. So I tell him which one I want & ask how much..he told me $5 and some change, but they charged us $7 and some change. Unacceptable!
I have never felt like I didn't want to go back, because it's one of me & my family's favorite place to eat, but I feel like that now.

Food was delicious, the cook was very entertaining.

I loved this place so much! The food was amaizing and the atmosphere is so welcoming. My only problem is, when I ordered a spicy dish i wish it were just that, spicy, other than "spicy" mayonnaise. And had more heat to the dish. But our hostess so amazingly gave me Some sirracha sauce.
