Avoid at all costs! Returned my late mother s laptop that was in like new condition, only to chase the return up over a two week period. Then to be told it had scratches on the lid and the hinges were broken, on hold on a premium rate number for ten minutes and eventually put the phone down. Ring the sales line they answer immediately! Ring customer services, forget it, they don t care! Fortunately I don t need the money I don t need the laptop, I honestly wish had had just given it away. The whole experience of dealing with this shower is scandalous, absolutely scandalous! What ever you are returning, give it away if you can afford to, if not take it to your local pawn shop. Because laptops direct are rubbish! absolutely rubbish!!!

I initially paid for delivery on the 28th of June and got an email late on the 27thbtelking me this date wasn t possible. I called and was told it would be delivered on 3rd July, and received an email at 21:45 2nd July telling me that there was a problem with the delivery and to call for more information I called and the office is closed. I m beginning to suspect this is a scam and will be doing a charge back if the laptop is not delivered tomorrow.

I used to be a loyal customer but after my recent experience with this company, I have decided to dedicate at least a small percentage of my existence to ensuring that no one shops with them, ever.



As the machine was urgent and I had work to go to, I called Laptops Direct who said that their systems were down and to call back. This happened a few times and eventually when through to them, I was told that there was nothing they could do and they were sorry.



I guess thats one way to make money - long holds on a premium support number.

Suffice to say, I won't be back and neither will anyone I know, as long I have breath.

The Lenovo T470 laptop I selected and ordered arrived very quickly, in perfect condition and as far as I can see after a couple of days use was a very good choice. I didn't receive a confirmation email. The sales information was not brilliant, cut and paste from the lenovo site where there are various customisation options. The sales person could see no more than me about the exact specification. I did contact customer service about the delivery and this call was handled well. Overall I am pleased with the product and service.

My home printer broke down and because of people working from home due to corona I could not find any printers from the usual big name companies - Currys, Argos etc. It was so easy to place and order and I was kept informed of delivery date and had my printer within a couple of weeks. Many thanks.

Just bought a brand new monitor. LG 34UC79G-B 34" UWHD IPS 144Hz FreeSync Ultra Wide Curved Gaming Monitor

I don't get excited for much but was genuinely really looking forward to getting this monitor because of the specs and reviews.

It arrived quickly but as soon as i set it up a huge area of the screen was black and fuzzy (about 40% of it) with forked lines all over the display. The moment i saw it turn on my heart sank, what was supposed to be a reward to myself for working hard all year turned into a massive disappointment. Now I have to go through the hassle of repackaging it all, going through the returns process and praying it gets sorted. This has really put a downer on everything, never had an experience like this when purchasing a product.

Update: they managed to replace it after a lot of nagging, emails and phone calls one month later.

Ordered a laptop which was instock for next day, three days later an email arrives telling me the new delivery date is in 3 months. Tried several times to get hold of the company and eventually spoke with a customer service representative, who promised a refund. Only got a refund after being very firm on the phone a week later,which was done whilst I waited. Had I not called again this clearly wouldnt have been done.

I have had my new laptop from laptops direct for a week now and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. Once I placed my order online laptops direct rang me to check my order was correct and make sure I had what I wanted. The laptop arrived the following day in perfect condition. A big thumbs up from me and I would recommend this company to anyone out there.

Terrible customer service. I was sold the wrong laptop from what was advertised on their site. Was refurbished but was no where near in working condition. I have tried to resolve the issues with them, to only be ignored after receiving emails off them asking me what's the problem. They have never replied back from this. It's rediculous and I will never recommend.

They only update you on the delivery date close to their last failed delivery estimate, so you'll need a lot of holiday allowance to stay at home for delivery! Moreover they hold on to your money all whilst this is happening...

Purchased 2 x monitors on 12/6 because it said in stock available for next day. Email to confirm it would be 1 day later, i can live with that. Email on 13/6 to advise now 20th. Rang to be advised no stock, i advised their website 'still' shows in stock. No apology or resolution or suggestion of an alternative model. Order cancelled and time wasted.

I've just purchased another Laptop from These guys. Laptops direct offer good products and a reasonable service however I have just had to cancel the order as I still haven't received it. This however is due to their delivery partners DPD being so incompetent which is a shame really as I would use them again but not whilst they still use DPD.

It has had consistent problems from day one and as Laptops Direct won't take any responsibility and offer no customer service we had to contact Acer ourselves. The laptop has been returned numerous occasions and still has the same fault. There are much better companies out there.

I cannot praise this place enough. I have already purchased a laptop from here before for my daughter and it was fantastic. I purchased one a few weeks ago for myself and it wouldn't receive Wi-Fi signal. the customer team was straight on the case arranging a collection for it to help me resolve the problem. I fortunately fixed it the day before it was due to be collected as it only needed its WLAN Wi-Fi driver updating. I emailed them to cancel the collection worrying encase id be charged for wasting their time. They were lovely and said if I had any more problems not to hesitate to contact them. I highly recommend this company.

Lots of hassle setting up our windows 10 desktop, though that may be Microsoft's fault. Computer had a hardware fault. Because we left computer boxed until xmas day we were out of the 28 day return period. Not happy that we have to pay to return a faulty product to the manufacturer. Even worse we might have to wait until 28 days to get it back. Wish I'd gone to somewhere with a proper returns policy.

very poor customer service. They make you pay 15p/min if you want to call them. If you email them, you get a reply 24h later.
My new laptop was supposed to be delivered quickly and in stock, now they pushed out by 2 and half week with a message basically saying take it or leave it...

I purchased a Laptop from them. I opened the box and started it up keyboard didn't work, they didn't offer to have it collected as it common for most businesses with 'bad' goods that need repair or replacement. A bought a second Laptop from them thinking I must of received a bad one, and the hard drive was dying as out of the box, I got blue screen and Windows would barely load up.

Refused to give me a refund or even repair the damage, as the courier was heavy handed and damaged it further which voided their warranty. I wont use again. Poor customer service process, poor quality control and not worth the undercut cost.

Ordered a 130W dock from laptops direct, attempted to change the order to 180W dock which was not picked up prior to shipping. Then it turned out the 130W dock was not shipped after waiting several weeks for confirmation from the courier. After emailing and confirming the original change requested of a 180W dock, the sales person then without calling me placed the same incorrect order for a 130W dock as the first order. Starting to get very annoyed with Laptops Direct but fair credit to the customer service team involved as their communication was excellent. Shame about sales messing it up. . .

Update: They have corrected this issue for me so changed to 3 stars.

POOR. Dont deal with this company. Ordered a laptop, when it arrived it wasnt working. Called customer service to tell them it wasnt working. They didnt believe me. I sent a video to them showing them it was wasnt working, they then asked for photos of it not working, several calls later they admitted it may not be working. Took ages getting them to accept a return and refund. Returned my laptop, awaiting for a refund.

I purchased 3 x Honeywell FR48EC air coolers from this company as a business. They are not fit for purchase and I am disgusted at this companies return policy. I have asked to return one of the 3 as I opened two and tried and tested them and they are not fit for purchase. I know I cannot return the two as even the boxing is damaged however one is completely untouched and they wont take it back or return my money.
The adviser ho took my order assured me this was ice and water but it is only water. also it is very bulky, Extremely Noisy. I am salon and deeply annoyed at how the adviser sold me something not fit for purpose.

Affordable prices for laptops and monitors from what i have seen, fairly quick delivery and safely arrived in new condition. Try and stay away from websites like Curry's or PCWorld as they tend to overprice laptops to unaware consumers that don't know about specifications of the system that they may want to buy for their family member for work or school. As a tip when looking for laptops the cpu is one of the main components and look for benchmarks comparing cpu's of different laptops at the same price. Also look for a laptop that has a ssd it makes everything boot/load faster. Would buy from this website again. :)

Do not buy from laptops direct! I ordered a laptop which turned up fairly quickly. I had concerns that it was a bit slow and wasn't happy with the performance. I tried to ring and express my concerns but I was transferred to a ring back system as they were busy. They never rang back. Did this twice with no reply. I then tried to contact them through the contact us section of the website. Did this twice and never got a response, all this was within the first two weeks. I then emailed them via another link which they responded to by saying I cannot return the laptop because I had contacted them after the two weeks period!!!! I had tried many times to contact them in the first two weeks but they ignored me. I feel robbed. Totally unacceptable. Do not buy from laptops direct! If you have an issue they do not want to know!!

I sent them ny laptop after 4 weeks no payment just excuses. they are saying that they will return my laptop thia week, after 4 weeks wonder what have they donde to my laptop. ... if your are going to user ther "Sell us your old laptop" just take it to Curry's PC world and get anything in exchange from them.

Laptop direct your customer service chat is very bad and calling the numbers in your page no one answers.

Dont recommend nothing of this company is probably a scam... now if they are going to send my laptop after 4 weeks, what have they done to it after 4 weeks, probably will be sent in a bad condition.

Avoid if you are buying high-end laptop. Untrained staff in the showroom told me that there is no deposit required (which appeared to be un-true on collection day). Collection delayed 3 weeks because they didn't know that "yellow" colour on the stock application means that they need to order the laptop from external supplier. During 3 weeks delay they didn't called me even once with any update or explanation so I had to call their expensive customer service line (13p/min with aprox. 10minutes on a call every time) but when they were chasing the deposit they called me 3 times during a single day. Didn't gave me more than 8h to pay deposit (even if I am working till late) and legal actions were taken. Rubbish experience. Avoid !

Laptops Direct were great, the phone shipped very quickly. However, the Cat S30 is the worst phone I have ever had. When I first got it, apps took a minute to start. I called laptops direct, who advised me to contact cat phones directly, and they gave me their number. I sent it in for repair, which I was told on the phone would take 5 days. They got all addresses wrong, where to collect it and where to send it back, even though I've sent the information multiple times. Then when the phone was still not sent back within a week and a half, I was told it takes a minimum of 7 days. The phone was sent to my old address (I had moved in the meantime), which really wasn't helpful. The repairs report had absolutely no details, I have no idea whether they even looked at it.
The phone worked OK for about a week. Now, google maps for directions takes at least 3 minutes to work. Whatsapp is incredibly slow. My sports app takes about a minute to start, and it often crashes. I installed an SD card and have the clean master on. Makes no difference. Google fit often has no record what I've done during the day, but I treat this phone exactly as I did the last phone, and that worked fine. I need to reboot at least weekly. My partner's phone is four years old and works a million times faster than mine. It is infuriating. The only strong point about this phone is that if I throw it away in frustration it won't break! I would not buy this phone again.

Bad customer service if you need to return an item. Bought a 4k samsung monitor which was delivered with dead pixels. Rather than send a new one out and collect the faulty one, Laptops Direct want to collect the faulty one first and check it over leaving me without a monitor for a week until they send me a new one. They maybe cheap but you get what you pay for!!!! I won't be ordering from Laptops Direct ever again!

i purchased a Acer Monitor B246HYL and I discussed the spec with them over the phone and they were very helpful. opted for next day delivery as needed the monitor to work from home and it was delivered promptly. Very pleased with the sevice and great value products. I will be definitely using them again and rcommending them to my colleagues.
