Great place to get some nigiri. Chef is great and very consistent. Service was attentive and polite. Very good experience

The Sushi was by far one of the best since coming to CO with fair pricing. Atmosphere was nice and service was still great even though we went a little later in the evening.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! Jimmy is awesome and the entire staff is so friendly. Did I mention this is the best sushi in Denver? Sonoda's is always amazing!

We sat there for 30 minutes waitig for our server to take our order and no luck! Our server gave us drinks then was chatting with a table across from us, cleaned 2 empty tables, closed the blinds, then went and refilled hot teas and drinks for another table, then went back to chat with the table across from us. I am not exaggerating when I say 30 minutes, we have our baby on a schedule and we had 90 minutes to eat, so we had to leave about 40 minutes of entering the restaurant to get different food for pick up. Wasted our weekly dinner date! It seems that they do not like babies in that restaurant, so for the new parents out there, you need to find a different Sushi place!

Been coming here since i was a child with my family! Food is always on point as well as phenomenal service. You feel like family when you are here!! Highly recommended!!

I ve only been there one time but after the amazing expirence I had I will not eat sushi anywhere else. Great prices, great food, and great people.

The sushi is incredibly fresh and well prepared. The Sushi chefs slice and prepare meals with the affection of a mother loving her baby. Presentation goes above and beyond what the norm is in Aurora. This has become my new favorite place to come and make memories, and it's 25+ years in service reflects how well loved by the community Sonodas' is.

Most amazing sushi in-land. Compares with San Diego and Florida any day of the week. If you visit ask to be served by Ad, she is the best! Love Sonoda's been going there for over 12 years. Would recommend 100%

The best sushi spot around!

I've been a regular for 15+ years and it never disappoints. I've tried many other places over the years and nothing compares! They always deliver...fresh sushi and fantastic service!

This was by far our most enjoyable sushi experience. The sushi rolls were delicious with a large assortment. We have sushi all over the country and I can say this place is at the top of our list for staple as well as original items. Service was better than we have ever had at other restaurants. We were checked on very regularly. Our server Coco was extremely kind and accommodating. They even gave us a military discount. NEVER has that happened before when we go out for sushi. My husband deploys next week so this was very special to me. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Incredible! Lava roll was bomb. Also, the shrek roll was fantastic!!

So disappointed in this place. Read reviews and tried it for the first time some of the worst sushi I have ever had in my life couldn't even eat it had to throw it away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY IT'S SO GROSS.

Authentic Japanese cuisine. This is much better than other high-end sushi places in Denver that are very over-hyped. This is a nice gem off of Parker Road

Surprisingly good sushi. Went in with no expectations but was surprised with great friendly staff and wonderful food.

Average sushi sashimi and bent box.
Cost is on the higher side relative to competitors.
They no longer to reward program either.

We got to Sonoda's just before 9 on Saturday and were surprised by their late night happy hour. There were drink and food specials. My boyfriend got house sake and I had wine, both buy one, get one free (and they were heavy pours)! We both had miso soup and an order of egg rolls as an appetizer. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and our bill was 45$ - great price!!! The staff here were very prompt and very polite. The restaurant itself could use some cosmetic updates, but we were otherwise impressed! We will be back!

The best authentic Japanese restaurant in Denver. Had the chirashi. Fresh, great flavor and variety of fish. Decent prices, good portion sizes, and fast and friendly service. Just a no frills Japanese restaurant. Nice rooms available and fish tanks.

Amazing food and people. Our service was so family friendly they helped with our selection and gave us extra special sauces. We were here visiting family we're from Wisconsin and will be back. It's going on the must visit whenever in Colorado.

I pride myself on reviews of sushi restaurants... Hands down the Sonoda's in Aurora is in the top 3 sushi restaurants in Colorado ... Independently owned.

My family has been dining at this fine place since 92 or 93 . Other than 2 or 3 disappointed visit, overall good food, find staffs and enjoyable dining experience over the years. The main sushi chef has been same gentleman all these years. He always says hello even when he's busy.

Sushi rolls were decent, udon soup was meh. Serviceable ambiance.

Great small place for Japanese and sushi! Fish is super fresh and jet flown in most of the week (head sushi chef told me this). Sushi Chefs are very knowledgeable and skilled. Portions for other Izykaya items and Ramen/Udon are huge and prices for everything is very reasonable.

For sushi- this is where I go. I love the service, the food, and have never had a bad experience here. An example of good service- coming in with a newborn and they sat me and a friend in a quiet area instead of in the crowded area. The sushi is the main thing I have always ordered and have never been disappointed!

A mix of great food and just okay food. The hamachi (yellowtail) sashimi was great, as was the spicy crunchy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll, and we loved the mochi ice cream dessert. The "bob" roll and the yakitori (chicken teriyaki skewer) weren't great. Conclusion: I'll be back to order my favorites and try a few new things at this cute Japanese restaurant with good service.

I found this restaurant near the Arabian Horse Association offices. Other were very informative regarding their gluten free optoins. The sushi was fresh and appetizing.

Grey fish, soggy rice, and French s fried onions covering a roll, I don t know what happened to this place but we paid $95 to eat 4 pieces before saying no way. Waitress did nothing to bill after she asked what was wrong. Back to Fontana!

This is some of the best sushi in the metro area. If you love great sushi, check this place out. I can't comment on the rest of the menu since my wife and I just go for the sushi. We sit at the sushi bar and have nice conversations with the chefs making our food. Great!

Service, was hood. Sushi quality and presentation very good. Taste very good. Worth walking through the snow to enjoy.

No appointment required but recommended. It was a little strange to have to have them pour the soy sauce but food is still of very high quality.

This used to be my favorite sushi place until Thursday night when I became Ill for over 24 hours after eating spicy lava rolls. Still not feeling great. Unfortunately I probably will not for back now which is really upsetting.

Loved it the first time, bragged about it to a few friends , went a second time and it was mediocre at best. The waitress was extremely forgetful , often apologizing for her lack of attention. The rice was gross , the fish was meh. I won t be returning .

They put fish entirely around the rainbow roll. It's always amazing. I like it better than the original sonadas in Denver.

The staff is super friendly, everyone is so nice and checks on you. My sushi was really good and filling, just what I wanted. I will definitely be back, and I like the fact that when I read reviews, the restaurant actually reached out to people.
