Super friendly service and good food. Nice wine options as well.

Great place. Family environment. They usually take time cooking the food, but the wait is worth it. The food is delicious, the staff is really friendly!!

I was with a large party on Saturday night. We were waited on by a male and a female, the male being the most friendly and outgoing. The female being a total stuffed shirt and not anything but civil. You could tell she had waited on large parties before and didn't like them. The food at this place was only fair, the salmon was pretty good along with the overcooked vegetables with it. The salad was great because it's very hard to mess up a salad. Evidently the manager came over and pre-bused the tables, which was great. At some point the wait staff decided they were done with us and never brought our checks. I was mildly annoyed so I nicely walked up to the front and asked the waitress if she was going to bring our checks so we could go. And without a hint of a smile she said, they're right there (indicating the front desk). I was no longer mildly annoyed, and unfortunately for her, it reflected in her tip. I don't intend to return to this restaurant.

Took the waitress several minutes to get our drink order even though the place was nearly empty. I ordered Lobster Ravioli and my wife wanted the Stuffed Chicken. Asked for no broccoli on the stuffed chicken. Waitress said it couldn't be removed.

Come to find out the food is frozen and she gave a lousy excuse that it was delivered once a week fresh. Asked was it delivered frozen and she said yes.
Lobster Ravioli lacked genuine taste and my wife went with a different chicken suggestion. It was terrible and was sick to our stomach later on.

We've had better tasting food at the hospital.

After a trip to the zoo, we stopped for lunch and they were absolutely phenomenal. Our server Candace, was so courteous, polite, helpful, and respectful. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and to sweeten the experience, the owner provided complimentary warm pineapple upside down cake and ice cream for dessert. Thank you!

The staff here is very accommodating, but the food isn't anything to brag about. The food isn't bad. It's just not great and I wouldn't go out of my way to choose to eat here.
It's clean, which is a plus, and the parking is great.

This place was definitely something different. The atmosphere was dimly lit and set up like an old American diner. With all the friendly chatter in the air, I felt the place should have been more brightly lit.
The service was pretty good. Though we had our waitress, we were also helped by the other waitresses, so we never had to worry about running low on drinks.
The food was good as well. I had ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu, which came with a side salad. The side salad was underwhelming at best. A tiny bowl with a handful of iceberg lettuce and a sprinkle of yellow cheddar.
The main course was well presented. The alfedo sauce was mixed with mushroom, sausage, and broccoli, making it very tasty. The chicken itself was wrapped and cooked like a fancy hot pocket. Still good, but fancy hot pocket...which leads me to think it may be a frozen item they just deep fry.
Overall, it was definitely different, just not a place I see myself wanting to patron often.

The food is very good, the wait staff is friendly. I dont know anything about wine but they have a big selection. The beer list is what I like and they have a little something for everyone. The owner is and has always been welcoming and friendly every time I visit. The restuarant is clean and one of my favorite places to sit back talk with my wife and eat.

We eat here two or three times a month. Excellent food and wonderful service! Best ribs ever!

Visit this place once a year and once a year we REALLY look forward to it. Always consistent and good. Service is exceptional. Menu is filled with delicious options.

The food was delicious! They had a lunch special that included 2 entrees, shared dessert, and 2 drinks for $20. I had the pineapple upside down cake that was warm with ice cream.... hmmmmm.... good!

We went here looking for something different, delicious, and local. And I think this place hit home runs on all counts. The food was delicious, we had a combination bayou and a low country boil, since it was on special. The portions are pretty healthy and we definitely had some leftovers, since we made sure to have desert - and dessert was also REALLy great! A healthy portion of warm pineapple upside down cake, with cold creamy ice cream, and hot caramel.

The wait staff team-waited so service was SUPER fast, and they always had our glasses full, and as soon as we we ready to order someone was at our table.

A really great experience and a place I will come back to as often as I can!

The shrimp and crab dip is a fantastic starter only to be followed up with delicious shrimp scampi. Excellent service and meal.

A good place to eat with a variety of selections from which to choose. Whether you want fish, a steak, kabobs, or a burger this place has it. The service is usually pretty good, however, it is a bit expensive for Asheboro.

Always so satisfied with the service and the food. Locally owned by the nicest family. The Charleston is a crab cake with shrimp and mushrooms and broccoli in this lovely cream sauce. It really is comfort food and is perfect for Keto diet. The spinach artichoke dip is also delicious. My family raves about the chicken parmesan! We've been eating here for years and always have a great experience. They also have great coffee which is always a plus.

We visited Something Different after our trip to the NC zoo. It was less than 10 minutes away. We had a great experience and were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food came out extremely fast. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. We would definitely recommend Something Different to anyone who visits Asheboro.

I have only eaten here twice. I wouldn't have went back if it weren't for a family members Birthday. Neither time, was I impressed with the food at all! My kids wouldn't even eat theirs after tasting it, and they LOVE spaghetti. Staff is very nice. I will not be going back. I will not be paying those prices for their food. Very disappointing.

My wife and I got a night out alone together while we were in town, her parents watched our kids for us and recommended this place. It was amazing! The food was cooked to perfection and our waitress kept checking to make sure everything was ok. I don t think our kids would have cared for it, but that s why we went alone! Definitely a place for a couple to dine at.

I can honestly say this is the place to eat if you are in the area! Every single waiter/waitress in the restaurant was attentive to my family and I. The staff was extremely friendly and the owner himself made an impact on my family and I personally. Please, if you are hungry, make this your stop to eat!

My husband and I are here together. We were swiftly seated. The lighting and decor was relaxing. His Alfredo was very bland. However, my Charleston dish was full of flavor and delicious. I was happy to see reasonable portions (in lieu of portions so large you either stuff yourself or take home leftovers).

Went in around the early bird timeframe so there wasn't anyone there. We were unsure whether it was due to food, time, or staff. Well, none of those categories was a problem. Staff was friendly!, Food was outrageously delicious!, And we weren't left alone or forgotten about. It is a restaurant to go to, indeed, to get something different. It is upscale, but our kids (five and under) did fine, and they were very patient and accommodating with us.

They have great food and good service, great pineapple upside down cake. U have to try it.
