We are very happy with our soma matress. We certainly had some hicups along the way to get to our amazing matress (manufacturing issues, delays, delivery mishaps) but I can say that Josh was so incredibly helpful and patient while we got to our perfect matress. Josh took the time to explain all the different mattresses, go through all the pillows and when things weren't quite right (what we thought was perfect was too hard) Josh and John were so helpful to get another softer matress sent out for us. I would 10/10 recommend soma even though it took quite a few tries to get everything just right- again really Thank you Josh being so fantastic and always updating me along the way!

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Josh, who took care of us, is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He guided us through the different mattress technologies, gave us all the time needed to try their mattresses and helped us pick the right fit for us (a memory foam). After the mattress had been delivered and we'd been trying it for some time, we were not 100% happy. We returned to the store, explained the situation and they agreed to the exchange. We again spent I don't know how much time in the store and Josh was again accompanying us every step of the way. This time we opted for a hybrid and, boy, are we happy with our mattress now. Thank you Josh and thank you everyone at Soma Organic Mattresses! If you want to stay clear from the big brands and all the chemicals they use in their mattresses, and experience a top notch customer service, look no further. We'd give them 10 stars if we could. I heard about Soma from a friend of mine. He had nothing but great things to say about the D'amico family and their mattresses sold at Soma.
When I went to their showroom to find out more about mattresses, I was greeted by one of their sleep experts (Josh). Josh was exceptionally professional and helpful in guiding our family through the various options available at Soma.
He was patient, kind and worked with us to help us find what worked best for our sleeping needs and style. His knowledge was unparalleled to other sleep experts we had interacted with at other venues. We had many concerns regarding the challenges of moving a King mattress (which was the one we bought), and Josh helped settle our minds by explaining how simple it is to take apart the mattress into its layers to package it for a safe move (in the event we moved homes). With regard to durability and quality, he was also able to help us navigate those concerns with attention and grace.
When it came to pricing, Soma was really helpful. The D'amico family shows that they care about our community by setting their high-quality products at a reasonable price for consumers. If you compare one of Naturpedic's best all rubber mattresses to Soma's, you'll see a big gap in the pricing.
The mattresses that Soma sells are also unique in their design; we purchased the contour 8, which has a one-of-a-kind build that is instantaneously noticeable in comfort level. For those who might have lower back injuries (herniated/bulging discs), you can feel the pressure taken off from your lumbosacral region.
Though you might think you could find a cheaper foam or pocket coil mattress elsewhere, in the long run, Soma's organic mattresses will save you from long-term lumpy beds and future additional mattress purchases. The upfront cost might seem higher, but you're paying less in the long run.
Soma also sells beautiful custom bed frames/bases that are made to order (along with their mattresses). The D'Amico family's commitment to their customers also shines here as they helped us stay within budget, offering a wide array of options to choose from.
Lastly, let's talk about COVID-19 safety. When my wife and I booked our appointment, we had the showroom to ourselves for the full hour. As a healthcare worker and COVID compliance officer for one of the organizations I work for, this is something I deeply appreciate! The staff honoured social distancing and general safety practices - hand sanitizer and new masks were provided for guests. Thank you, Soma, for keeping us safe!
In customer service/safety, product quality, and affordability, Soma is the way to go! Though I have not personally met the owner, John D'Amico, I highly commend him for his care for his craft. His excellence and love for his customers at Soma shows! As for booking an appointment with a sleep expert to get started, you should ask for Josh. He's the best!
Life changing mattresses, pillows, and duvets. Incredible service. I'd give this place 1000 stars if I could. I had a "top of the line" mattress from Sleep Country which killed my back and was deformed after two years. My sister in law swore by her organic latex mattress from Soma, and so I went in one day. John was incredible. Informative, patient, and most importantly, not sales-y at all. He was honest and had such great advice, and was very good on helping us find the right combo with a (truly) great price.
The mattress is a dream. The wool duvet is like a hug from heaven each night. The latex pillow feels like it isn't there. I don't know how I slept on anything else before... If you're considering a new mattress, don't bother with something you hear about on a podcast or what they are slinging at the chain store. Go to Soma. Change your life. Sleep like a baby. You will not regret it.
I was put in touch with John (the owner) through a mutual friend in the industry. The service was great.
Our situation was slightly unique in that we were living in Mexico and wanted to buy beds and have them delivered to our new house before getting home. He was patient and helpful throughout the entire process and made sure that everything was installed when we got home (even going so far as to bring over a new boxspring the night before we got home because the one we arranged didn't fit up the stairs.)
It's been four nights and we're all sleeping soundly.
Finding a good mattress is tough. It's even harder when you have chronic pain and chemical sensitivity. But John and his team are there to make sure you find something that works for you. My one tip is to go in with an open mind because you might think you want something specific but that might not be the best fit for you. Very grateful for my experience with Soma.

Amazing place! We bought both of our baby girl's crib mattresses from Soma, and the team there was extremely helpful and accommodating. We're now looking forward to breaking our current mattress so that we can replace it and all of our pillow with Soma ones! I highly recommend this place for a more sound, healthy and comfortable sleep!
