Do not come here for meaningful medical treatment....

Do not come here for meaningful medical treatment. Dr, Schanzer the chief of staff will refer you away if she considers your case complicated.
Lack of empathy, care, and emotional support is a prime characteristic of this clinic.
Go some place else.

I made an appt a month in advance. It took so many calls to find a psychiatrist who actually took insurance and had an opening. I came from out of town for this one day and I show up and they tell me they don t take my insurance. If there s one medical industry that should be available and not screw people over at the last minute, I d say it should be the mental health industry. They are absolutely the worst. $200 out of pocket. And now I have to start all over and wait months for an appt somewhere else.

Back in 2013, I received great care here from Dr. Horvath. I stopped coming for a few years but came back and things have changed. Even before covid, just to change a scheduled appointment was a racket that involved calling and playing phone tag over several days because you can't cancel and reschedule with the people at the front desk. Tell me how is that practical? They also want you to use WedMD which sounded like a great solution to the phone issues. WRONG! I had an appt. months back where suddenly I'm being charged $350 almost 6 months later with no reason as to why. I've written them twice about it. No replies and no one has reached out to me. Shows they care more about leaching people out of their money than actually helping them. My visits have been a standard $50. WTH happened? I guess I could try calling them and playing phone tag for an entire week. If you are seeking help, this place will only cause you more pain and agony. Don't bother here.

Dr. Sanchez has been caring for my parents, they both appreciate and like her very much. I would definitely recommend anyone to this clinic. They are prompt and always answer their phones.

Horrible experience... I had a Tele appointment, was sitting on side of the road waiting to speak with a provider for my 0915 appointment, the MA did her initial thing... I sat waiting for 45 minutes for the provider to come to line... they never showed, and the zoom meeting disconnected, when I called to find out what happened, I sat on hold for another 20 minutes with no answer... the staff in the office apparently was to busy, then the scheduling persons computer froze up, I ended up talking to a supervisor... of yeah urgent messages were sent to the office manager with nonresponse.... so I called back 2 hours later to see what was going on... to be told I never should have been scheduled this appointment for the same day VISIT... and they will have to reschedule me.... this place is HORRIBLE and they don't care!!!! This is the 3rd issue I have had with Baylor College of Medicine!!! And I have only felt with them 4 times... it is a shame my insurance is forcing me to use them for the lower co pay

I ve had a great experience both with scheduling and actual care. I m surprised by the other reviews, but Dr. Parks is amazing and listens to you and your concerns. In her absence another physician in the clinic stepped in to help me Dr. Khan. He called and also left a message on the mychart system. He provided useful and considerate care. The nurses and front desk staff are very efficient.

I have had excellent service from every clinician I have had here. I was a patient for over three years, and each staff member was sympathetic and took my concerns very seriously. I'm honestly shocked by the other reviews here. This is a very good clinic that I would recommend to any friend.

Spent over 3 months trying to establish care. Left messages, was told there was only one person working the desk, to call in a few hours (only to get voicemail). After calling administration I was told the psychiatrists were not accepting new patients but a resident/fellow would see me but NO INSURANCE IS ACCEPTED and it would be $100 for the initial visit, $50 per visit thereafter. To say this is extreme incompetence and substandard practice is an understatement. Sorry Baylor, you can claim to be "world-class" all you want. Reality is, this department is substandard.
