I purchased a Soleus Air stand fan with a remote control about a year ago. The remote is only good for one summer. The remote was not as sensitive as the one for Lasko stand fan. It could be a defected item.
I contacted the manufacturer one week ago. I was told that parts are not under the warranty. I have to pay $21.8 ($10 / remote + $10 / shipping + $1.8 tax) for a new remote. My credit card was already charged on the order date last week. Contacted CS again, but up till now I still have NOT received the remote.

Bought a portable AC with heat pump and the blower motor died after 1 month of use. And you can't even buy replacement parts. Fabulous.
I have two 45pint and one 70 pints dehumidfiers that were warranty replaced because they ran but didn't take any moisture out of the air and now these have failed too just out of extended warranty. I only got two years out of them. FYI they were used in my basement.
