Words cannot describe this place, absolutely fantastic
Loved it, pretty central location, and of course the film set of BENIDORM. The TV program. Food great, staff are the best! Busy place but well set up. Great weather for February
Fatal! 12 hours before arriving they call us to tell us that in the family room we do not fit! If we want to give us two rooms paying 900 more! They are inept, very angry! I do not recommend to anybody! Our reservation was made since April so we gave them enough time to cancel our holidays! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! LET US WITHOUT HOLIDAY TWELVE HOURS BEFORE ARRIVAL
Good hotel to enjoy family holidays, the pool and activities the best you have, good food, good rooms is agustito
The rooms were very clean, tidy and well maintained. We stayed all inclusive and upgraded to gold which means nearly all "99%" was included. Very good selection including some nice mojitos. As a cider drinker myself the upgrade was essential as it wasn't included without gold.
Lovely hotel . Stayed in sister one was better i think .
Food ok . Little warm . No water fir half boarders at tea .you got to buy ur own . Which i think tight .
Over all nice room and clean
Hotel rooms fab. Food fab. Staff fab. But if you have mobility problems dont stay in Ocas lift out side dont work and theres quite a few steps to reception and long walk over to pelicanos hotel. Also only children's pool this side and children's entertainment nothing for adults. Wouldn't stay here again
A great central hotel to stay when visiting Benidorm.
Hotel and rooms very clean staff very helpful and friendly lovely food well worth a stay here
Lovely clean place staff very friendly.cant wait to do back
Well, it's changed, Benidorm that is. Since last we came it appears that most people have lost all of their manners altogether. People will see you and then they WILL walk into you whilst walking down the street without even looking at you or acknowledging the collision after the fact. It's quite literally like you're not there. So far the hotel staff have been mostly pleasant and well mannered with the exception of one member clearing our food away whilst we we still eating, when we pointed it out we simply received a look of 'so what, I don't care'.
The hotel is nice, clean, and we'll set up, everything runs smoothly transitioning from the sunbeds laid out during the day to the tables and chairs for the evening entertainment, I watched one night and the whole thing was like a perfectly choreographed, well-oiled machine.
There is also stuff set up for visitors with children who would like that short break from them during the day, I don't know if there is a cost attached to these clubs or whatever as our children are over that sort of age.
The weather, well it's Spain, it's pretty much a given, but if you remember this place from 10 or more years ago and think it'll be the same, you may well be surprised/disappointed, I would advise you speak with someone who has been here recently to understand what you might expect and compare that to your memories from way back.
Mobility scooters are pretty much everywhere during the day too, from the old and infirm to younger couples (as young as early to mid twenties, I kid you not) some scooters are small and inconspicuous and some are huge two-seater affairs, going back briefly to manners, most people seem to refuse to see them and just walk across most people riding scooters for whatever reason.
Another thing I noticed that differed from many years ago is not many people are willing to strike up a conversation out of nowhere, you could be using a bed next to another family every day for 3 days and they wouldn't lean over and say hello, going back 10 years or so and things were much different, your kids would play with their kids etc etc but not so much with the adults. The advent of smartphones maybe? I have no idea, says me reviewing from my smart phone.
20/7/20 First day at this hotel, change room once due to Air con not working at all, new room air con unit runs but does not cool, currently 26 degrees in room. Not going have a good night's sleep. Both room was/ are clean.
21/7/20 Update to the above, an engineer attended, and carried out invisible works, room is now at 25 degrees.
22/7/20 update, we complained about air conditioning again and was told by the manager that 25 degrees was acceptable temperature level. Therefore we was left with the only option to check out! We move the the Presidente hotel which so far a superior hotel.
Absolutely beautiful place rooms spotless pools can get busy great for families
We have a "family" room which entails of a double bed and a single bed which has obviously been shoe horned into the room as it does not fit properly. Waiting for the lift can take an age. We are staying half board which means breakfast & evening meal. However, when we go for our evening meal, we're told we have to pay for any drinks (including water!) & that they are only free for all inclusive guests. This is disgusting! Other than this, there is nothing negative I can say about the staff and general cleanliness.
Beautiful hotel , food is gorgeous and rooms are exceptionally clean . Will definitely stay again
There are places to spend and entertainment close to the beach, the staff are Bshouchin but the room is small and there is no room service
Great family vacations.
We will repeat this 2019
I keep putting reviews because this is getting worse !!! I reiterate the shows are lousy !!! The mini disco without comments speak more than dance and the little varied food on top is raw or past ...... You did not waste the money to come here .......
Good deal, very good and varied food, and lots of entertainment for both children and adults, and excellent cleaning.
My wife and i enjoyed are week here.it was was the wifes 70th birthday and are 53rd wedding anniversary on the 4th feb. it was nice to get 2 bottles left in are room. we both enjoyed the food, plenty to choose from. all the staff where very helpful.everything you need is at hand the indoor market bars beech and the sun played its part to. we will gladly come back to here again. thanks for the special week we had. faugh-a-ballagh
Loved the Hotel, very friendly staff good facilities and access to the beach super fast.
a hotel for three stars this very well the location the restaurant the cleaning and above all the way to treat the customer very friendly and a nice and large pool
It's suppose to be a superior room but falls short. Waste of time checking in on line they go through the whole thing again at reception. No extra bathroom supplies like on my last visit. Hot water at sink cold. All in all could be better.
The response from the owner hopes that things would be better on my next visit. I'm still in the hotel obviously the owner thinks I'm gone. I enjoyed my breakfast after a cold shower. Things look a bit better on the 14th floor.
My water problem was quickly resolved. Had a great stay in Hotel. Looking forward to my next visit already. I'm changing my star rating to 5
I have had a great time here. I would advise any family to try this hotel. I love it.
Varied buffet superb swimming pools
On the other hand a lot of people at the Restaurant you have to queue to be able to enter the restaurant.
Do not come by car because paying 18 euros / day and you cannot park because the spaces are so narrow or if you are parked you must go and ask the reception to call the owner of the vehicle park next to yours (when is there) so that he can move his vehicle to allow you to get into yours !!!! I specify that I have a standard size sedan !!
Forget about breaks and S U V.
Well located, spacious rooms, buffet pretty good and wonderful pools !!!!
Great hotel staying again this Christmas food exceptional.
I have stayed here many times & it has always been a great place to stay, unfortunately not this time as I am stuck in a room on the 1st floor with really unsociable fellow guests, a great shame
Good deal. The animation passable .lo bad the room k ns assigned. No balcony and gave a workshop d cars. Very contrary d ls other cn balconies and views to the pools. No nz will happen again is the first k we will say. more children ...
Good Hotel for families. Very good pools. Good beds. Good buffet food but practically the same every day in the 6 days we were there.
Anyone expecting the lagoon style pool open will be sorely disappointed as we have seen nothing but work carried out and skips ,cars and workman on all day banging and crashing. Went to see reception no help at all told to go and see tour operator as lady on reception was very unhelpful . Far from pleasant. We in ocas but have to trail over pelicanos for meals and entertainment which is a nightmare as 2 of us are disabled. Wont be coming back even after 20 years of coming several times a year. Heard many other customers complaining of same problems and we not getting any help or interested. Mr wingfield.
I have been a short time, the right room, a lot of foreigners but the treatment of the staff has been good.
Close to the beach and complicated to park on the street.
Very good hotel, the breakfast buffet very complete and on Mother's Day we were giving a rose to all the women, a very nice detail, at the reception we also appreciate it. To repeat without doubt.
Our very first Visit to this hotel was 34 yrs ago..
Just had a lovely 6 days here, hotel is spotless, staff very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard.
We are bed & breakfast
Breakfast is very good, a selection of hot and cold food including smoked salmon and champagne.
I would definitely recommend this hotel
located in a great location right near the beach and not far from any shops as for the hotel the rooms are nice clean and well maintained great views from the room and the staff are very helpful.
Ive just returned from the Sol Pelicanos Ocas. I will firstly describe a few bad points.
1. Queuing for sunbeds - horrendous!
2. Queuing sometimes for dinner and breakfast
3. not always easy to find a clean table and some of restaurant staff weren't willing to help! Seemed understaffed sometimes
4. one night in height of season NO adult entertainment!!! That night it's a bouncy castle thing for the kids and my daughter said it was awful - queuing with my granddaughter for ages and then only seconds on it!!
5. If you go for more than a week you get the same shows! Quality of shows was Okish but all taped music - nothing live!
6. We received a shocking "welcome." There was a mix up with the booking as we'd added someone on late and this caused the problem. Alberto the receptionist handled it in an abrupt, unfriendly and rather unpleasant manner. His female colleague at least smiled at us and tried! We have no idea whether it was the hotel's fault or On The Beach's fault - but the point is it was handed TERRIBLY causing some distress as this was a massively important holiday for the 10 of us as our son was arriving later from Hong Kong and we hadn't seen him for 18 months!!!!!!!!!! My paperwork was all in order clearly stating the change and it took them ages to allocate the rooms and I honestly thought the holiday was going to be a complete disaster. I felt sorry for the people queuing behind us as it took so long!
A smile and a "Im so sorry about this" would have been so easy!!!!!
It was handled TERRIBLY.
Good reception staff is absolutely imperative!
7. Complete lack of enough chairs for evening show - one night dozens had to stand! Outrageous!!
8. Not enough sunbeds
GOOD POINTS
1. Fabulous food - I'm at a loss as to how anyone could grumble about it!
2. Excellent all inclusive drinks - don't go half board unless you dont drink!
3. The most wonderful huge lagoon pool which made the holiday. Lovely jakuzzis in pool. Other pools too. Very good daytime entertainment. Lovely entertainment staff. Lovely staff in pool bar. Lovely staff in all the bars who smiled and were friendly despite working hard.
4. Lovely clean bedroom. Great balcony.
5. I had a fall and lifeguard and manager were lovely and caring and attentive
6. Near to beach and in good location
7. I WOULD return but definitely not in the height of the season as I cant BEAR queues on holiday.
Jan
Nice hotel great staff great entertainment for all ages
Love this hotel really clean and brilliant staff return here every time
Great hotel and location the food is ok nothing special
We really enjoyed our stay here the food was delicious the place is spotless the staff were great. All of them spoke excellent English more than I can say for my broken Spanish Paula and the guy that does the entertainment wer absolutely fantastic. I would definately recommend this place. All my 6 friends enjoyed their stay too. And we met a party of 18 people whome also loved loved they're 10 day stay. The all inclusive here is a must.
The food was very good and its facilities are quite good
A good hotel, excellent swimming pool, food well catered to all taste. Beach just round the Connor
Clean rooms food not bad ideal situation for entertainment shops eating out
All great although the waiters a little slow and quite serious those of the bars of the drink the dining room great the animators a 10
Massive hotel which is home to the Benidorm tv series in the UK. Had a tour of the hotel thanks to Ted a guy staying at the hotel. Facilities looked great.
Was here in April loads of choices at meal times clean rooms friendly staff only trouble half pool closed for filming of benidorm the show already booked for 2016
Brilliant hotel. From the Management of the hotel to all involved in the running of the Hotel one big thank you for the hospitality many thanks
Got here at 12 finally got room at 4pm staff very helpful but loads of irate holidaymakers having same problems and fobed off and continally told rooms not ready
Had 5days at this hotel last week hotel is lovely food great pool great can't wait to go back
I want to know why you have to pay for your water with your evening meal and breakfast you don't have to pay for it or is they won't you to pay for their wine etc disgusted with it as many other people asked the same question
A very complete hotel to be a 3 star, very good value for money. The superior and family rooms are renovated so they are quite correct, the buffet is very varied and in general quite good, the only downside is the dinner schedule that closes at 9:30 p.m. The very attentive and friendly entertainment (highlight the opening hours of the shows at 10 o'clock at night !!! very good so that the Spaniards give us time to see it) and the hotel staff also very pleasant and efficient.
Highlight the large pool lake that is wonderful ... let's repeat!
06/03/17
Amazing value for money, 1 large and 2 small pools. Staff friendly and great entertainment. Food is good.
Had a fantastic stay here. Staff were lovely, the food was amazing, the entertainment was brilliant. Rooms were good, just a little noisy being on the main road. Very near the beach and night life.
Absolutely fantastic break here room was spotless and very near all we needed
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying in, I stayed for 10 nights with the missus to celebrate her 21st birthday and she ended up in tears, the food here is awful for both meat eaters and vegetarians and the kitchen staff are incredibly rude, my missus is a vegetarian and there isn't really much on for vegetarians except for chips and pasta, at breakfast a guy was making cheese and ham toasties and I explained that my other half was veggie and asked if he could make one without the ham and he just muttered no, I asked why and he told me that he didn't care and if she wanted one she can make one herself, if you are looking to enjoy a cocktail on your holiday be prepared to pay more money per day for their gold package or to be disappointed, we tried each cocktail on their menu and each just tasted of water, the entertainment wasn't great and they do not switch it up at all, they do the same thing every week, so on my holiday I had the chance to watch a group of people poorly mouth scenes from mamma mia, during the day there wasn't anything going on until the end of the holiday a rep asked if we wanted a class in making paela which in all honesty doesn't scream entertainment to me, also don't be fooled by the pool being large, me and the missus spent about an hour in the pool and both ended up with thrush, in all honesty the only thing redeemable about the hotel is a couple of the bar staff are friendly, avoid this hotel at all costs, its awful, don't fall into the same mind set as I did and think that because they used it for the show it would be good
Fabulous food cant fault the place lovely rooms and fantastic pool area
Rooms with spring mattresses that sounded a lot, not a bottle of water in the minibar, without remote control of the TV, etc.
The dinner closes at 10pm, they let you finish your dinner if you are late but do not go for a drink because they close it and they also hurry you to finish it, there is no A / C in the room, an overwhelming heat, a manager young man who is very rude and has to learn a lot how to treat his clients
Good position for British bars good serviceand excellent pool areas
Benidorm Hotel 3 stars. Good customer service. 400 meters away From the Levante beach. Good pools one of them simulating an artificial lake. With 3 yacuzis. Also pool bar. A good place to rest or spend the holidays. The buffets are very good.
