Great shows. The chairs on the other hand are more like benches as there are no armrest separators, therefore you end up sitting far too cosily with a random stranger who takes more than half the bench space.
Nice theatre with lots of different types of performances on. Easy enough to pick tickets up from the box office. The bar is usually busy, but you can get drinks in plastic glasses to take into the shows
You'll struggle to find a venue that provides quality entertainment at prices as low as this, particularly in central London. I've seen Blink, The Kingdom and A Clockwork Orange for around ten pound a pop and at these prices it's competeing with cinemas and winning. You can even get away with booking only a day or two before hand and still manage to get great seats as they're often unreserved. Make a night or day of it, go to Soho theatre.
Loved the show a nice bar to get a drink before hand ,saw the View Upstairs can I just say Tyrone Huntley is a fantastic actor, have now seen him a few times .

Great affordable shows for the cabaret, comedy and queer theme lovers! This is the place to go for a fun noght out, and the bar is fun to hang out in afterwards.
Against all my best intentions I will always indulge in a little something post theatre. It's an incredibly laid back bar with a lively atmosphere and cheery(!) bar staff. Haven't eaten here but the food always looks tempting. Will most definitely be going again.

Quality performing arts centre with a spacious chill out bar. Would have given a higher score was it not for the fact there was a rather rowdy group of somewhat drunken women, complete with shopping and suffering husband's/Boyf's, who weren't even requested by security or staff to tone it down even a little, which on the whole spoilt the atmosphere (We weren't the only ones scowling). Try the bar on a quieter night or when there's something a little above these people's intelligence being held.

Good, compact theatre. Reasonably priced bar. Attended Radio 4 recoding in Soho Upstairs. Very warm, but worth the visit.
Saw the drag band Denim and the whole experience was great. Crowded bar before the show was dealt with slickly by experienced bar staff and a selection of plastic glasses were available to decant our drinks, should we not have finished before the show started. Top floor theatre was intimate, with raked seating; again, the staff kept everything moving smoothly. Apparently there were nine different performances on the various different stages, the day we went! Excellent venue, run well.
Good range of comedy offerings that gives new and established artists a platform. The bar/restaurant space is slightly soulless. All you need for a good venue is a good stage, clear sound and comfy chairs. The chairs in the downstairs room are incredibly uncomfortable.

Attended the comedy show, in nice intimate atmosphere close to the stage. Entertaining, slightly predictable, a bit short, but worth going at least once.
Great modern theatre. Mostly first come first served, sit where you like type bench seats apart from some reserved. Seen many shows here and always of the highest performance quality.
A great spot for work in progress comedy gigs. Just a shame they are always so late at night, once fell asleep during Eddie Izzard! Bar excellent and lively, friendly place and fun too.

Nice venue with good shows, overpriced drinks and the staff is mixed. Some are super lovely, front of house and some of the bar staff. Other bar staff is flat out rude and offended at the idea that you order a drink.
Always a great place to meet friends. Never overly packed.
The bar staff here are so lovely, i always end up stopping by here even if I'm just in Soho for a little bit just to say hi. The nibbles are really nice and it's great to come up from a show and have somewhere nice to be. I'm pretty much always there on a Thursday night :)
I've never seen any plays here, but the public bar is open to everyone and I've often popped in to grab a drink with friends as the place is often a little less noisy and easier to maintain a conversation in than many of the other local soho bars.
Drinks prices are reasonable, the decor is more student union than glamourous cocktail bar, but sometimes when you just want to catch up with friends over a glass of wine that;s just what you need.

Possibly the best performance space in London. 3/4 floors (inc a basement). Comedy, music, theatre and all in between. They strive and succeed effortlessly to be 'inclusive'. The shows they stage cant be pidgeon holed. One has keep an openmind when attending shows here, in 7 years ive never been disappointed and I have grown as an admirer of Art itself. Easy to get to, freindly staff, competitively priced tickets, superb shows, For the price of a traditional West end theatre ticket you and 1 other can see 2/3 shows here (time permitting) If you are visiting London and want performance with out extortionate costs. #Sohotheatre is the place
Amazing range of shows to go see, including stand up and drag. There are several different performance spaces, all accessible by lift and the toilets are gender neutral.
Tickets are very reasonable, but it's generally worth booking early if you want a good seat.
Good venue for close up comedy. Very crowded and busy, not much space to sit at all. But it's lively with a good atmosphere and free infused water at the bar. I found the bar staff to be very friendly and helpful.
The Soho Theatre always seems to have a really interesting range of comedy and theatre events scheduled - I highly recommend checking out some of their lineup. The Soho Downstairs venue is in a cabaret style with tables amongst the seating. It's a little more intimate than the main house, which is also a nice size for their theatre and comedy headliners. The Soho Upstairs venue is the only one that lets the others down a little - it's clearly a converted attic with a complete lack of ventilation, which always seems to turn into a sweatbox during any show seen in there.
Really poor customer service. They sent us to the wrong theatre then caused us to miss the first 10 minutes of the play we had actually paid to see. Then a really poor follow up in which they tried to blame us all for their mistakes, not a word of apology
You don't have to have seen a show in order to enjoy the bar, but it rounds off an evening of comedy perfectly. Lots of beer to choose from and a great atmosphere, Soho Theatre Bar is a must for anyone trawling the area in need of a drink. More

Excellent venue for stand-up comedy - intimate and well-priced. They have a good mix of big names and up-and-comers so, if you like live comedy, this is definitely somewhere to consider
Great variety of comedy and fringe theatre. Nice pub too.
Decent gaff this. A generously sized bar in the lobby area giving you a better chance of having pre drinks before a show. I've only been here once and the venue on the 2nd floor was quite intimate but all unreserved seating was a great spot for some stand up comedy. It was tidy and they allowed drinks in for the show.

This is a great place to watch live comedy. The bar is also probably the cheapest in the area.

One of the best London theatres for new writing, challenging theatre and comedy (new acts on the way up and established acts trying out new material). The bars a bit loud when full with expectant punters but at least it's lively. Worth signing up for their marketing email as shows change on a weekly basis so you'll soon see something you want
Great intimate venue with some fab comedians. Service a little slow in the bar when it's busy, but it has a nice atmosphere.
Pity the bar its always ridiculously crowded but always a great selection of entertainment
