Thanks to my hubby for giving this as a surprise gift on our 27th wedding anniversary. I felt like a queen for a day. An overwhelming, breathtaking & unforgettable experience staying here in Manila s 5-star luxury resort hotel.

Just right after our arrival, me & hubby had time to examine the place. It was truly magnificent & luxurious. Ideal for a relaxing getaway. We indulged in the majestic surroundings. The iconic lagoon shape swimming pool was tempting, grassy knoll facing the seawall with oversized tanning pillows & low cocktail tables was adorable, the so chill area with featured hammocks was perfect to just sit lay back & unwind with a harbor view. The lush grounds are really idyllic.

In cognizance, the hotel was inspired by french architecture blended with filipino hospitality. It was design by our national artists Leandro Locsin & Ildefonso P. Santos.

Ideal location but the bed is lumpy and the amenities are outdated

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Suites is a lovely place.
At the best club lounge of all hotels in the Philippines, the tail time is also very enjoyable and the spiral breakfast is also very good.
Lobby front staff If you are only a little bit more friendly,

What a pool condition is the best of the Manila hotels in the Philippines.

I have had a satisfying experience. However, it was a little inconvenient that check-in took a little time.

It was a little inconvenient for the reservation request to be processed slowly in advance.

Staffs will look at you from head to toe as if their judging your economic status. Hahahaha

It's just a very nice hotel and the buffet is just amazing.

Pretty poor quality for a Sofitel hotel. Rooms were smelly, very poor maintenance and housekeeping. First suite that we got was so old and smelly! I believe the management should be ashamed of such a bad job.
Had my nails done at their spa center, it was a disaster! They destroyed my cuticles so badly :(
Adding the second star just because of the outdoor pool area which was nice.

Overpriced, room was dirty. They wouldn't change our room, just came in and sprayed deodorizer around the room.

Love the spot this hotel is situated: Right by the bay and a great place to view the sunset. The restaurant buffet is super pricey but the food is good! There's too much options that I couldn't decide what to eat. We got a free nights stay here with free breakfast. :)

Has great hotel room setups and has one of the largest Halls I've ever stepped upon to. Great food, great service and a lot of great backgrounds for photographs!

Nice rooms and good food. The pool area is nice and great for kids.

Great experience as expected of a famous hotel. They had a thoughtful surprise when I informed them ahead that it was our anniversary.

However, the check in and check out experience could use some major improvement.

There also seems to be a lack of communication between check in and their other services such as the Spiral buffet and room service/mini bar refill service.

Spiral was unbelievable, french chef even made bouillabaisse just for me

This place was relatively nice and very clean. I enjoyed my time here, however, the service needs some fixing.
Unlike other hotels, when I asked for something to be delivered to my room, such as a tissue box or toilet paper, it would take the staff 15-20 minutes to deliver what I needed. That is WAY longer than any large or small hotel I ve ever stayed at.
Worst of all, upon arrival, my mom was not given the room she booked a couple of months in advance for my family. They offered to give us the room if we paid 1,800 PHP, even though it was paid for in advance. We were eventually given a bit of a smaller room. While somewhat satisfying, it didn t meet the expectations.
Lastly, the day before my family and I were going to the airport, we requested and booked shuttle service to NAIA at the front desk (or the concierge I believe), but to our surprise the next morning, they never booked it and we had to wait about 10-20 minutes for the shuttle.
I never expected this kind of peculiar service from an opulent hotel.

I can't afford it so I just dropped it for free, 5 stars

A good location for business trip and events place. Serves as one of the best buffet meals with a good variety of international food. Relax in a middle of the busy city of Manila with a good view of Manila Bay and golden sunset.

Gotta get back to Sofitel Executive lounge, their staff, crew and especially the chef was extra nice to my kids. Great food. Sorry sofitel people, inadvertently brought "Pacman" with me... chomp chomp chomp

I've checked in here twice and they never disappoint on their hospitality and services. I love their comfy bed and pillows, also their food, quality ingredients, quality dishes.

Rooms though another story- a bit dusty and unclean. We can see dust everywhere. Pillow smells moldy. Front desk waiting time - took more or less 5-10mins before being attended to. We know the room is free - but i suppose service can be better.

Sofitel is supposed to be a FIVE star hotel but why does a huge black RAT running around the hallways? I mean seriously? All the staff are well-groomed, with the ladies wearing Filipiniana gowns, but a RAT?! I stayed here with my family and booked two rooms. It would have been a perfect experience for all of us if it weren't for the disgusting rat that maintenance and housekeeping people of this hotel SHOULD have kept an eye on. Tsk tsk! Granted, the hotel is older but it is NOT an excuse and very unacceptable for such oversight and neglect for things like this. After all, guests are being charged for a minimum of P8000 a night per room!

The best hotel, so cosy and friendly staff. specially the duty manager. the buffet is the best i have ever been to. the place is huge clean neat organized and too many services. atms available. one of the best things is the smile is in everyone's face here.

Nice place kind hefty $ for what your getting. Hotel is nice and elegant but sort of 80s feel. Great comfy bed this place has beautiful pool and grounds. Wonderful buffet really enjoyed it so many choices so many stations . Would eat here any day only criticism was @ breakfast I go to get a nice hot waffle and the cook puts an already made waffle back into the waffle machine. Why? (like I couldn't wait the 2minutes for a fresh waffle). They have an orange squeezer machine but put out a strange mix of imitation OJ out of plastic jugs and the fresh squeezed. Other than those oddities it was top notch. Your experience may differ but definitely give the place a try.

One of the best views in the Ph for sunsets. A bit on the pricey side for drinks.
