Snowdon Deli Review

Had a fantastic Jewish Deli experience, old school friendly service and decor, lots of food options. Meat is really good.

They been doing this for years and the quality never fades

Snowdon Deli is the best by far and to top it off we had such a lovely night with the waitresses such joy to be in their company thoroughly enjoyable

This place makes a solid smoked meat sandwich that I quite enjoyed. However, I was less impressed with the potato latkes which were very heavy and solid. This place is an institution and worth checking out. The brunch seems to be popular based on the orders of the people we went with.

A little on the pricey side but excellent deli counter and very good meals in the restaurant.

One thing you should never do in a restaurant is give a plate to a customer that ordered after others.... And it took so long before getting the plate....first and only time......

Love this place over any smoke meat/deli place in Montreal.
They open at 6am so you know it s legit.
I usually order for takeout, get their bread you have to get their bread, it s inexplicably soft yet holds the sandwich together all so well.
Dinning in is like a travel back in time, the ladies working there are so nice but also give you that serviceable no bs attitude, it s so nostalgic, love it.
I can t recommend this place enough.

A real deli as we like them (counter and restaurant). Don't be fooled by the place, the smoked meat is worth the trip. Probably the best in Montreal. Sorry Schwartz, you can go get dressed. By the way, leave room for a piece of apple / cherry strudel.

My go to place when I'm in town for Smoked Meat. They also make a great poutine :-)

C'mon, bullion served as the chicken soup, and sugar in the chopped liver??? Really, you guys know better. Everything else is great, but the soup and copped liver was truly disappointing...

This is my favorite smoked meat in Montreal. What sets it apart from the rest is their spicy mustard (which I just found out you can buy jars of on the deli side). The staff are friendly and the service is fast.

Smoked meats less fat than Schwartz's and much less waiting.
I did not eat there but took it to go. The manager accompanied me with his advice and offered me some treats for the return (on foot) to my home.
An impeccable and authentic service. Arrived at home, I feasted.

Great place for sandwiches! I had the matza ball soup and the brisket sandwich (for around 15$, with a drink), delicious! Would definitely go back!

Not bad, the smoke meat is good and at the end of the meal, we had the right to attend a waitress fight. Very classy.

Most of the staff is polite and cool. But one of the cook was rude and didn't care of making a client wait. I heard one of the staff pointing to the client and he replied "what? Let them wait". He wasn't busy. I might go back but hope not to be served by him

Absolutely recommended. The best Deli in Montreal in my opinion.
Pro Tip: Don't get the Smoked meat sandwich, instead get the Smoked Meat platter (you get twice the food for 6$ extra) and I couldn't even finish the whole thing. Brought half of it home. Gonna try the brisket next time.
And the people in there are really nice. I'd give them 10/10 just for Ambiance.

A Montreal institution and neighborhood favorite with a long history of serving famous corned beef, smoked meat and pastrami. Also many other great dishes to choose from matzah ball soup to bagels, lox and cream cheese, eggs and omelettes to burgers and brisket. When in Montreal, this place is a must visit. Parking is difficult on Decare due to condo construction but don't let that stop you. Worth the trip.

So good! It's getting harder and harder to find delicious authentic Jewish food, thank god that places like Snowdon Deli still exist.

Incredible smoked meat and corned beef, been going here for years and it's always been delicious.

Best by test. They make a whopping good smoked meat and corned beef sandwich. With pickles and some cole slaw and you're all set. Customers are as jolly as can be since they know they'll eat a hearty and flavorful meal. Freshly served even on the go.

Really good smoked meat. Better tasting than Schwartz's, IMO. Not too busy. Pleasant service. Free parking in neighbourhood behind. This will be the place I go to for smoked meat in Montreal from now on.

Locals go here instead of Schwartz because it is better and less crowded. Anytime that I have a chance to go back home for a visit, I will come here for the Matzo soup and the smoke meat sandwich. Wish this restaurant can be everywhere in Canada!

Nice delicatessen, friendly staff , excellent home made soups . I had a daily special (club roll , french fries , cherry coke ) i think it was 13 dollars . Homemade chicken soup 4.50 , Bean and Barley soup (daily special , changes daily) $4.00.

Tough to beat, and better than Schwartz imo. Smoked meat and Latkes were the highlights for me.

I just been for smoked meat as it was specialty of montreal but it was ok as i didn't find smoke meat sandwich good enough

Very impressed by this place that I discovered by accident, I consider it as the competitor of Schwartz Deli situated on St Laurent street except that here you can find reasonable price and a very large menu (salted I tried the smoked meat poutine and a combo containing a sandwich with different kind of smoked meat however it was a small portion but acceptable fir the price ,plus a nice soup and a drink , it was a nice experience, excellent service, they offered us two small bowls of soup to try before ordering, which is rare in Montreal, that is why I give 5 Stars for Deli Snowdon, and I think it will be my favourite smoked meat restaurant (Bye Bye Schwartz ). No pictures taken during this experience as they re already displayed on google map so enjoy

Good smoke meat, local old school feel. Big menu, not just smoke meat.

Hot brisket sandwich was piled high with tender, juicy and flavorful brisket which melted in the mouth. Snowden special was overflowing with cold cuts and came with a large amount of crunchy pickles. Service is extremely fast here so great for a quick meal.

Tried the smoked meat and poutine. Really tasty! Much better than Schwartz's. Only drawback was that it was very hard to find parking in the area.

Very good place to eat with Polish influence, very clean, great variety of cold cuts and cold cuts. The owner is very friendly and cares about the quality of the food and products. Go have a corn beef sandwich. An establishment with history, with tradition and family values that are inherited from generation to generation. Located in decarie a 10 minute walk from snowdon tube and easily reached. Go and enjoy a good sandwich in a classic deli restaurant. A a a a a a a a a a a a a aaa

Beef tongue (middle) on a bagel is to die for. My friend's smoke meat is on the lean side so just ok.

Amazing smoked meat sandwich. Hot mustard! fantastic! Poutine was tasty but too soupy after a few bites as its drowning in gravy. Lot's of options on the menu so I will be back.
