Love the selection, especially in the names as someone who enjoys the nerdy side of things. The staff is very friendly and I have felt like they take the pandemic seriously. I would suggest if you see something you might be interested in, give it a try! Many of their unique offerings don't last long do get it while you can.

A couple times during the week they have a food truck. I'm not quite sure if that has been postponed due to the circumstances but they do sell small snacks like jerky and chips while also allowing you to order delivery.

Awesome spot!

If you like unique stouts and pale ales, this is the brewery for you (yes, they do brew other things too). A fun place to chill, bring your dog, and play trivia on Thursdays. Staff is always friendly and food is BYOF. They generally have food trucks and HomeSlyce across the street delivers. It's always a pleasure going!

Great local brewery. They are all about supporting the community by quickly developing relationships with other local business including ones damaged by the Ellicott City flood. Super amazing.

This is a great place to stop. Beer is excellent and pizza truck was good. Bartenders were very attentive. Today they had a fund raiser for the lunch program in Howard County to help pay for under privileged students. I'm more than happy to help with that.

Plus Black Flag is dog friendly so Marley our mini poodle was able to make some new friends.

Great to have a cool new local brewery. Great atmosphere to grab a drink and spend time with friends. They are one of the few local businesses that I will now go out of my way to support. They were low on some selection but they are new, so I completely understand. I can't wait until everything is on tap again so I can try them all and take a growler or 2 home!

This place is awesome! Every beer I had was fantastic. You can order food to the bar and they have a good selection of board games to choose from, and not just the basic ones. Bartenders were super nice and accommodating as well

Black Flag is a strong contender for best brewery in Columbia. The range of styles and the aesthetic are proof that these guys are all about the beer. They know how to do an excellent IPA. Will definitely be back to see what they are up to.

Great, tasty brews and a lovely atomosphere! We had a great time trying two flights of beer at Black Flag. The brewery has loads of seats and genrerous seating the bar. All indoor seating, but that's a welcome respite from the summer heat. Pups are welcome inside and add a comfy feel to the brewery space.

Very nice new location in the heart of Columbia. Great local craftbeer and this brewery. I am all about supporting local companies and local craft. I would definitely recommend if you are in this area to give it a try. They do not provide food. However, they are a variety of food trucks that are at this location. If in the area, check them out.

I fairly limited but delicious selection of craft brews, a variety of beverage sizes, and rotating food trucks are par for the course in the area. BYOF is always welcome and the style is pretty modern.

Black Flag, a nice place to grab a pint while your children are next door for a couple of hours? This brewery was unexpectedly located in an industrial park surrounded by business with activities for children. The decour was clean industrial with an ode to Star Wars (nicely done). The service was good and a nice selection of beers to please most palates. I enjoyed the beers I sampled but, no standout winner. Worth a visit if you are in the area (with or without kids).

Great beers. Big benefit (and only downside) is that the menu is largely different if you put some time between your visits. Beer to take home is also very reasonably priced. And it doesn't hurt that my bartender was cute.

Firstly, it's loud. Not because overcrowding but because of the building's structure. The high ceilings and sharp corners just bounce the smallest voice all over the place. We went on a Saturday evening and while it was very easy to be served, I had to yell for my wife to hear me. I am bias there; I don't like overly loud bars.

However, there is no music or DJ blaring tunes; it's a simple acoustics issue with the building.

Now onto why you're reading: the beer. It's fantastic.

My favorite part, as any husband I'd wager, is the pricing. This place is cheap. My wife ordered a 32oz growler to go and it was only $8. This was a great draft beer we drank in the bar and here it was to go for an equally inexpensive price. However, this craft beer is not "cheap" when it comes to quality. My wife is a fan of coffee stouts and she loved the one they offered.

The service we experienced was fantastic. People do not crowd the ordering section of the bar; it's easy to be seen and get your order in. That's a big plus for us.

If you can stand the loud atmosphere (the reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5) your in for a great experience at a local brewery.

A good selection of brews (there were 10 on tap when I visited)...including IPAs, a coffee stout and a couple of sour ales. Dog-friendly, TVs, board games too. Snacks available for purchase included jerkey and chips. There was a food truck the day we visited.

Phenomenal beer! I've been there twice now - different seasons (winter and summer) and just incredible how they're able to perfect so many different styles. Great stouts in the winter and then for the summer, great hazy IPAs and one of the best lime/salted goses I've had yet. This place is a must if you're a beer person. Staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Great brewery right off 32 in Columbia. Modern tasting room with a large bar and many tables- including several bar height community tables. Friendly staff and most importantly, many solid beer offerings. Their Flagship IPA is delicious and the brunch stout was great. They had 10 beers on tap when I visited. 5 standards and 5 seasonals, all delicious. Like most breweries, they are also dog friendly. Will definitely pop in here again soon.

Back in March 2020, just before things were locking down because of COVID, I had to go to the B-more area for business. I decided to check Black Flag out and I'm glad I did! Absolutely solid beers. I tried a flight of mostly dark and brown ales/stouts, all of which were fantastic. It was a low key night, but I had a great conversation with the bartenders and a couple locals. Great vibe, great people, great beer!

Excellent local brewery that crafts creative, flavor forward beers. Not all selections are winners, but they keep turning out creative small batch bombs. Their creative takes on stouts stand out (brownie flavored, cinnamon bun flavored, etc.). Only downside of the brewhouse is there is no food on-site; food trucks are present on occasion, otherwise, you have to order in.

I'll start by saying I don't like ipas , so this is a tough place for me considering three quarters of the menu are IPAs right now. I tried their Porter, Stout, barleywine and a couple others. I like the Stout and barleywine, the others were okay, not bad and not great. Bartenders were nice to talk to. No food on site, at least the Saturday I went during covid-19

Great variety of craft beers ranging from tangy sours to piney IPAs. Always a new brew or two on the line-up. Knowledge and friendly staff. Plus it's dog friendly. Bring your own food. Often a food truck but not always. Pizza delivers.

Comfortable place to have a drink and lovely place for families and friends. Not too crowded on Friday night. Howeve, there a few downside. I wish they have a food trucks so some food selecrions other than pizza delivery. Also a few more nonalcoholic drinks for designated drivers such as coffee (maybe bottles of cold brew coffee) or at leat ice machine. Still they have reasonable beer selections (I'll give three stars for their beer selections) and clean and enjoyable place.

Great location, fantastic beer and a great atmosphere - what else can you ask for! As stated, they rely either on food trucks or pizza delivery from across the road, but certainly allow you to bring your own food. LOVE this place.
