A great hill for beginners to intermediates. I can t fault them for their geographic location. They have a helpful staff and host a lot of schools and young children. If you are experienced you may be a little underwhelmed as the ride up will be three times longer than the ride down, but it s in a convenient location for quick trips to the hill. I ve been coming to this hill since I could walk and will continue to train my kids here as-well. The concession is well stocked with options and operates very quickly considering how busy they get.

Will never come back again. The Old retired Volunteers they have there are ignorant and very ruff with the kids. The lessons are a joke that they offer. Waste of time and money. Thank you for wrecking my sons first ski experience and making it a complete disaster.

Can't give enough thanks and credit to the people who work here! So nice! We had a booking at rabbit hill for a private lesson for my son and accidentally went to snow valley instead lol. They easily booked us in right away, even concerned if we lost out on money (we didn't, bonus!). The instructer was Brooke and oh my she was so great, my son loved it and didn't want to stop. she had so much patience (he's a bit hyper) and even spent some extra time. This is a great beginner hill and we can't wait to go back!

Perhaps have ski rental discounts when they are only for ski lessons, it makes it very expensive other wise

$50 for the lesson, $20 for the rental = $70 for an hour and 45 min group lesson.

Even if you are only there for a lesson and don t buy a full day lift pass, you must pay for the full day ski rental.

Resorts like Fernie and marmot offer FREE seasons pass for under 5 year olds. A non profit charges $250 for a seasons pass, offering 3 trails and a view of the highway. Very strange business model and way to encourage kids (or anyone) to embrace winter sport.

Very nice to have somewhere to ski inside city limits. They have skiing, snowboarding and lifts. They also offer lessons and it a good place to learn since the hills aren't too difficult. The chalet inside is nice with a small restaurant and ample seating upstairs.

Love it! Easy to get to and the staff are so helpful and friendly. My daughter's lessons are a great size too, only 4 kids; giving lots of opportunity for improvement and instruction! We will definitely be going back next year for lessons!

The price for a one day lift ticket is outrageous. For a hill that small I can't justify it. It's a decent place if you are starting out skiing or snowboarding I suppose. Bad tasting food, but at least it has a nice chalet. the hill is very small, but the lifts are fast and there are no tow ropes, so that's a plus. An experienced skier or boarder is going to be bored here very quickly, but the location is good and the staff are friendly.

I have never actually been skiing here, but in the summer, it is an entrance to some nice walking and mountain bike trails. There is also a large obstacle course/playground for adults, and a campsite.

Snow valley makes the best snow. Thanks to Marlin and his team of professionals, the snow base is never icy. I ride this hill a lot and I've gotten to be a very good rider here. Learning is what this hill is about. Take what you learn here and apply it at the mountains. Also great food! Oh and they have beer!

Sad to see another season at Snow Valley coming to an end. I had my son's out here this year working on their boarding skills before the big trip to the mountains. It was also time to get my little girl up on her first skis, and like always the staff were helpful. She thinks she is pretty hot stuff now able to hold onto the tow rope. Thanks again for another great year!

Conventiantly close for people living in the city and it has a decent terrain park. Thanks for the reply on why snowskates are barred from the left! It is understandable that it is too fast for foot traffic.

First came here with school in grade 4 and had good rental equipment, not to mention the teaching lessons. The ski lifts and magic carpet lifts have safe loading and is great for beginners to learn. As I progressed, I found the valley had runs to match my skill level. The food is a little overpriced not gonna lie.

We received a gift card for Christmas for Snow Valley, along with a print out suggesting to go on Family Day. The date of the print out is incorrect, but I figured it was a typo. When we arrived it was very easy to get my gift card that was there waiting for us. The gentlemen helping us gave the best deal for what we needed there. Getting the rentals was with ease, and they even helped by giving us a hula hoop to support our daughter for her first time. We had a great time at Snow Valley!

Great place for all sorts of skiers or snowboarders. I started learning how to ski here and it was very easy to learn here. The ski lift is safe and the staff help made it easy to get your rented skies.

Refused to sell me a lift ticket until the bus loads of students (that were late) arrived and got checked in, had to wait a good 1.5hours. 20mins of me waiting for the buses to arrive.
Staff acts like like every skiier is a burden and total a incovnvience. Divas at the lift noticed the lift operators verbally abusing children especially when other adult are not present.
