It was very fun, I had such a great time with my friends!!!! Everything was worth it!!!
Snow Valley makes an excellent wedding venue. They are accommodating and the food is outstanding. As a photographer, I love working with them. I would happily shoot in this venue all the time.
I loved my experience there, but i didnt find some of the workers attitude that friendly. I hope i have a better experience next time!
We were in the aerial park. Great time. Definitely a "go again".
The ski hill was alot of fun the worst part was the Costumer service lady the one with purple /pink hair , she was rude with attitude. I felt happy and excited when I walked in there , when I walked out I felt upset and angered.
There are 5 difficulties in the hills, ranging from a baby hill to a steep hill with grinds and jumps. The prices are lower if you go within 2 hours of closing, and with good weather, the slopes are fantastic for snowboarding. Try to avoid the slopes when the snow is sticky, as you will get caught and fall more then.
great little hill and the snow park is one of a kind
Great local hill and the best in the Edmonton area. Nice equipment for rentals and the lifts are in great shape with padded seats. Slow and safe loading and unloading makes it easy for beginners. Terrain park has some challenging sections and a mogul track.
Good place to ski. There are ski and snowboard rentals.
Nice local hill with quick chair lifts, decent amount of indoor space to rest and eat, as well as friendly staff. One of the better options in the city.
Great hill for kids to learn. Right in the city but you don t feel like you are in the city
I feel absolutely deceived and ripped off. Bought a season pass for my daughter (5) and a weekDAY season pass for myself. Drove there Tuesday at noon and they are CLOSED! They are only open thrs/fri in the morning! Now my pass is a waste as I now I have to go in evening with ALL the other crowds! How does that help alleviate COVID crowds. Snow Valley- you need to be clear that your WEEKDAY SEASON PASS is really a weekday EVENING pass. What a scam. Feeling very disappointed.
I LOVE SnowValley. It does not have the highest verticals or the longest runs. What it does have is the BEST place to go with a family and with friends. The price for their passes is very reasonable. I always get the pass that includes the equipment - I call it my Paris Hilton pass. No need to carry my equipment around - I just use it and leave it there. SnowValley maintains the equipment I use and the right gear in the right size always available for me. For a little extra you can get the pass that allows you to use skis and snowboards - great for people who would like to try both. This ski hill is the kind of place where people of ALL skill levels feel comfortable - BEST place to learn to ski!
Great option right in our city. Really great staff and well groomed hill. Great place for kids to learn
Great place, nice people. Willing to help out others.
Clean and bright facilities, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff, well organized systems for dealing with large groups (schools). Lifts are well maintained and the runs are in great shape.
Excellent place to ski and snowboard, there are trained instructors and with a lot of patience! We loved it! And we will definitely come back ...
Decent for a day. The chalet was clean, friendly staff. Limited runs and not super difficult so if you're a beginner it's a great place to start.
Always a blast to visit here. Friendly and helpful stafgt
My wife and I camped here 2 nights in our motor home and we love the place. Grounds taken care of meticulously, the showers are as nice as you re going to find at any campground. In the middle of Edmonton, Uber picked us up took us to the mall, perfect location
The staff are wonderful, the hills are great, and it's a really fun places to go. I've made a lot of memories there teaching my children how to ski. It's a great place to learn, and best of all it's located right in the city, so no long drives or expensive hotels, and it doesn't feel like your in the city.
No better place to learn and practice ur skills for the big mountains. Great instruction programs for all ages.
Online pricing is completely false as to when you go there in person. Lesson Staff are not so friendly and they screamed at me for not knowing how to ski and that i should take a lesson.
Great lodge and base area facilities. Service is great. Can be busy on weekends and cheap nights.
Pretty easy to go through, book lift tickets, get rentals and hit the hill. Family friendly.
I went for the "Never Ever Days" with a friend. I found their to be little direction and lots of chaos. Our first instructor kept asking the other instructors what she should show us next. It was disorganized and we spent most of the time trying to figure out where we should be next. The instructors were focused on supporting the smaller children or were huddled in groups socializing.
I would recommend Snow Valley for the location and space available on the hills but I would not recommend the "Never Ever" experience for someone whose never had any exposure to the hills.
SIde Note: An instructor named Brandon did come to my rescue when I almost went of the hill which was much appreciated.
been here often, and its a decent ski hill if your just learning. its actually pretty good for not being in the mountains.
I can go to any season in the safest way with a walking course
Very small hill but to take the kids to. Can definitely have troubles trying to get there off tge highway
Super fun small hill good for a short afternoon or morning of skiing would reccomend if you live in or near Edmonton and not looking to drive 3 plus hours into the mountains.
We have really enjoyed doing lessons at snow Valley and spending time on the hill. It is a great place to learn, staff are friendly and things seem to run fairly smoothly.
nice variety of hills for such a small park. Plenty of instructors and the rental process is built for the uninitiated. My ticket was comped so I cannot speak for the price of a lift ticket/rental ticket hence the 4 star.
Not great today. Only 1 chair open. 4 to minute wait. Flat light. Good for young kids on smaller hills.
The place is awesome but so.e of the staff out on the hill are grouchy as hell.
My first time going there and not coming back for sure. Prices for two people came up to $157.50 and that was for today Feb 18th 2019 Family day.
I guess they take so much advantage of it and i ordered a LARGE POUTEEN and the Price on that was $8.50.
Im not sure if these prices are right or not.
Went on food bank Friday and they seemed to be a bit underprepared. Waited in line for +75 min to get lift pass and rentals. Perhaps an alternative ticketing method on busy days? Quite a few people left the lineup before reaching the wicket. Once out and shredding the hill, everything was pretty awesome and as advertised.
Quite easy but good for learning. Passes where reasonable priced but food was expensive
The best sky club u can go for lessons and family fun in the city.
Buyer Beware! When you buy a so called 4 Hour Lift Ticket from Snow Valley, you may only be able to use it for 2 hours!
I clicked on the 4 Hour Lift Ticket on the website, and from there was given the option for available times. The only remaining time was 3pm. I purchased 2 tickets for $73 and after skiing for 2 hours, was told that the lifts were closing at 5.
I called Snow Valley to ask how I could purchase a 4 hour lift ticket and only be able to use it for 2 hours. I was told by the customer service representative that the passes are for 4 hours or less, and that it says on the website s fine print that the lift tickets are valid for 4 hours or until the hill closes...whichever comes first. I was told that I should have taken the time to read the fine print and to determine when closing time would be, and that no refund or compensation would be forthcoming.
It is unethical and deceptive to sell a 4 hour lift ticket that can only be used for 2 hours. Snow Valley, you need to stop selling 4 hour lift tickets at 1:00 if you are closing at 5:00.
I went to Snowvally for the first time today with two friends one of which was inexperienced and wanted a couple of tips, as CASI level 2 I felt I was probably qualified to pass a few tips along. When I came down the main part of the hill waiting for my friends I was immediately asked by a lady who worked at the hill and a large looking ski patrol guy who seemed to think he was the so-called doorman of the hill if I was teaching a lesson and also if my friends were paying me. To which I replied what made you come to that conclusion and how long had they been watching me for and do they ask that to any semi decent rider that comes down the hill.
I would advise to who ever these two people are, that next time they introduce themselves nicely and that it probably doesn't take two people to come and ask such a ridiculous question.
I also found one of the trail maintenance guys quite rude when we put the bar up 2 meters before we were ment to. rather then just quietly saying would you mind waiting, we were shouted at like we were in the military, by a guy who obviously has worked there that long he has developed a sense of false importance and stature.
P.S. First time and last.
Awesome staff, great Master Ski Race program with very good instructors.
Sunday was too busy for us. We went back Monday and was very fortunate to meet the front desk staff that accomodated my toddler for a private lesson. The lady was very helpful and knowledgeable. My son was put with Petra for beginner skiing lesson. I highly recommend her. She is such a wonderful instructor. After an hour of lesson my son wanted to continue. And that was a good sign that Petra made a positive influence. Will definitely will continue the lesson with Petra if we are from Edmonton.
Great family hill!! Perfect and easy to get to in the city!
I think the ski resort was really good for a beginner and pros oh and there food is heavenly.
I love snow valley. The staff are very nice and there is also very helpful lessons. There is different hills for different stages including: a bunny hill, medium hill and large hill. There is also many different lifts.
A ski hill IN Edmonton?!
My kids are doing homeschool ski lessons here. Great price, great instructors. Love that we can stay and ski all evening. I really appreciate how they use coded lift passes and the kids get marked as to which lift is appropriate for their abilities.
Wonderful ski hill to take my grandchildren. They love the gentle hills and green slopes.
SNOW VALLEY
Snow Valley is a small ski hill and is the biggest one in Edmonton. On sunny days the snow is slushy and on snowy days the snow is powdery. It is an excellent hill for beginners because there s lots of small runs. It also has a medium sized chalet with a cafe where you can get coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs, fries, burgers, candy, churros, muffins, yogurt and pop. My personal favorite is the crispy, warm fries. Overall it is a mediocre hill for people who often go the mountains and ski.
Had a really great time here with my son. Staff were awesome. The runs were great. A bit pricey but it s the same prices at the other local ski hills. If you haven t been, try it out, you won t regret it.
Awesome place to bring kids to skiing and summer go walk in the nature
Decent prairie ski hill. I found it to be on the expensive side, but I suppose that's the convenience factor. Lines were short, and so were the runs. Unloading area off the quad chair is dismal, gets packed with boarders and it's difficult to safely get off the chair.
It's a decent place to go to bring a family with small kids (under 8) to learn how to ski. It is, however, a far cry from the slopes at Rabbit Hill, the next closest ski hill.
Great local hill in Edmonton to learn how to snowboard or ski.
My work puts on a wonderful family event every year here. The facility and staff are terrific
Great little ski hill in the middle of town. First time skiing for my son and the instructors were great and patient.
Its was very very very very terrible, the staff are very rude and treat you with disrespect, I am never going here again, EVER! They refused to put me up a level and they talk to you with a rude tone always!!!! I would give it a zero if I could.
Lots of decent people work here. For an inner city ski hill it offers as much as it can.
Finally went up the big hill. Better than just going in the backyard
The ski area may not be big but has varieties, something for people at different levels. The classes are great and the staff are friendly.
Perfect hill for my kids that are learning to ski. Minimal wait time for the lift. Staff was very considerate too.
Great place for kids and adults to learn and enjoy skiing and snowboarding
