Brought my 5 year old son so that I could teach him to board and was told that I wouldn't be allowed a walking pass and also couldn't pay for a lift ticket unless I had equipment on due to it being unsafe because it was supposedly too busy. I've been there at much busier times to teach my other son boarding and never had a problem. There was about 5 people on the small hill I would've been teaching him on. My son was extremely disappointed as well am I. I've been boarding there for about 5 years and it's pretty disappointing to be refused access to the hill to teach and it's obviously not very easy to teach a 5 year old while on your own board. I've been to many ski resorts and never had this problem. It might have been understandable if it was actually busy. I called Sunridge and they were happy to allow me to use their hill to teach my son.

This place is great to go for a walk in the summertime a lot of paths this place is great to go for a walk in the summertime there are poratapotties there and great amounts of amazing scenery. I believe there is an on leash as well as off-leash area for pets, and you can walk all the way up to the river valley for all the way south towards blue quill.

Great little hill in the city for brushing up on your skills, teaching the kids, or just getting out for a little fun and exercise on the snow! 4-stars for location, hill conditions, and amenities. 2.5-stars for lack of age appropriate lift ticket prices for ages 4-6 comparable to other hills this one costs a lot more for your beginners so shop around. (IE: Rabbit hill is $14, Marmot is free for 6 and under, and Snow valley is $37 for 4-12 yr olds!!!)

I would love this give it zero stars. After years of coming here we went to bring my 3 year old only to be told we can't walk with our daughter on the bunny hill. She has been on a board for 2 years and can make it down but needs help getting up and they will not allow us to do that anymore. She's the next generation and I will make sure to never bring her back. Good job growing the sport snow valley.

Perfect little place for kids to learn! Adults can cozy up in the lounge with standard ski hill snacks and the little ones rip it up in lessons! I'm here every week and I find it so comforting!

It's conveniently located and all, and the staff and instructors are helpful and friendly, but if you go on any given weeknight prepare for half of the place to be roped off for the Ski Racing Club. Not worth the money on these nights most of the time.

Overrated. It doesn't have variety. There's no park and nothing it takes them forever to set it up. They've gotten worse and worse at it over the years. Also, if you're a park skiier and don't know where to go for park, I'd say give Rabbit Hill a try. They have lots of variety in their park.

The place was awesome. The courses were fun and tested my strength. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially Steven and Taylor;) (Idk if I spelt that right) . I love how rlly any ages can do it. My mom was struggling I little with the courses but Stevan encouraged her and she said that if he didn t she probly wouldn't do it and she's glad she did. Steven also engorged me to go backwards on the zippline and it was rlly fun

Have not done any snowboarding or skiing, in a over 10x years, last 2 hours are promotion rates for lift pass and rentals ($15 & $17)... have enough bruises to remind me... There are plenty of hill progression levels for every level of rider... then to the far right is the more advanced section for jumps and rails... Staff are very good first aid crew is very present .. and the lounge upstairs is warm cozy and inviting... one thing I don't appreciate was my board rental the binding was rusted and fell off during my visit... but just a minor problem Snow Valley is a very enjoyable hill for all levels within city limits... looking forward to another visit and, taking it slower to avoid bruises! LOL

North and East facing hills mean better snow. Small. That makes it an excellent place to learn to downhill ski and snowboard. Being in the middle of the city makes 'going skiing for an hour or two' a real option.

Horrible! too much muddy ice and water coming down hill to get to valley ski club! Could bottom out one car! City needs to clear entrance way better than that!! Ski club has an great team of employees very friendly and helpful even when preforming their jobs above and beyond!

Pros: Nice placeeee; the main middle slope is really wide, which I like. The chairlift is quite efficient, especially since they have 2. I wish they had a T-bar because those are minimal and very fast. It has more slopes for beginners/intermediate, which is appreciable. Cons: the staff are generally nice, but a significant number of them make a waaay bigger deal out of minor incidents; and act totally dead while also being condescending.

Need WiFi! I'm perplexed to be saying this. Change of seating EVERYWHERE is needed. I think those chairs/table are made to torture people. Prices need adjusting or a lie income option that isn't a mad dash on a Friday after 4.

Absolutely love this place. Every time I visit Edmonton it's the first place I go. Staff are always polite and easy to ask for directions or help. Best ski/snowboard hill ive ever been to by far.

We went here on a school field trip. The instructor was amazing with my special needs son. We will be coming back on our own. I was so amazed at how well they are with the kids. Very inclusive setting.

it would had been better if I could had taken some pictures of our daughter on the special sit ski, rather than dodge all the ski patrol folk telling us we weren't allowed in the area to take pictures of or daughters first time skiing.
