Empty parking lot every time I went by but decided to stop since it was close to my house, Save yourself the trouble! Brisket was like bubble gum and barely had any smoke flavor. Baked beans were edible. Hopefully the other meats aren t the same but obviously I won t be back for second try after that. Go for Buckinghams
We tried several of the sandwiches and they were all quite good; the Carolina was especially a favorite.
Good Bbq lunches, large portions that are actually 2 meals.
We had our daughters MU graduation party here. They answered any questions quickly and were very accomodating! They set up our decorations and the hospitality was great! The food was awesome! Would definitely recommend this place! Thanks for your help!
Excellent service! Mackenzie brought my dinner within 5 minutes of ordering it! I had the pulled pork and with the variety of sauces...it was so amazingly delicious!!! I even met Chick while there and he is very welcoming! I recommend this BBQ restaurant to everyone!!

What great BBQ! The smoked wings topped with vairous sauces are amazing. I love the Buffalo smoked wings. Really interesting.
That being said, my only complaint would be the quality of salads. Maybe silly at a BBQ joint, but I'd like something a little more exciting than romaine/iceberg and the basic toppings.
Still, we love it and eat here all the time.
We ate here took our family and spent almost 150$ on food ...We wait for ever for our food most was cold... And had several mistakes..Staff was pretty nice tho..but I could have BBQ at home for all this and spent less money.. ..no one offered a discount or a free meal..

Excellent BBQ every single time! There are only a few places that do burnt ends right...and Smokin' Chick's is one of them! Good assortment of their sauces to use with your meal! Staff is always helpful and super friendly! We will definitely be back. It was my SO's first time and he couldn't believe he hadn't listened to me sooner (took 3.5 years!)!
Chick must have changed his turkey product. I used to drive 30 minutes just to have his BBQ turkey on bun but today it seemed slimy like slick meat you might buy at the store. I couldn't finish my sandwich which was sad since my wifes' and my meal cost over $20. The beans were said to have brisket in them. I didn't find any. We went to Chick's because every other place in town was pack for Saturday lunch. Not Chick's. Maybe i know why

The selection of sauces was awesome.. I especially liked the Gold as it was very unique.
The fries were also very good. All was cooked just the way it should be. The order taker was very nice and made the food selection for me as 8m from St Louis and had not been here.
The place was clean and inviting for lunch and I'm glad we chose this place for lunch instead of a big box.
Price was in line for the quality and amount of food I ate...
I will return when back in town.
We had Smokin' Chicks catered for our wedding. The pulled pork was amazing! Seriously best choice I made. They even delivered and set up!
Great BBQ. I even smoke my own food and it s hard sometimes to find bbq you like. Fries were delicious, as well as the Mac and cheese. Burnt ends were cut differently than I m used to but had good flavor. I love sweet sauce and their sweet bbq sauce is great. Service was friendly and fast. I travel for work and come to Columbia often. It s the best place I have ate here yet.
Discovered Chick's last fall. Good portion of the time the owner (Chick) himself is in there, and that's always a good sign for a restaurant. Food is tasty. "Octopus" dogs for the kids (hot dog cut at end like an octopus, then grilled) includes fries and cookie at only $2.99. Delicious brisket, ribs and wings. Friendly service. Several sauces to choose from are on the table in squirt bottles - hickory, sweet, original and hot (I think). Biggest complaint is that our table last time was a little sticky. Will certainly return.
If you love BBQ this place is for you. Lots of choices of chicken and pork sandwiches plus you can have a rack of ribs, if you desire. Very clean place and nice seating. Choices of BBQ sauces, too.
Easy to order. Sat down and waited a super short amount of time. We were given a bucket with 5 different BBQ sauces to choose from and to place on ourselves. The pulled pork and and brisket were so good!! Love!
Had our sons commissioning party here. Awesome food and great service. They customized our buffet just for us. Can't beat the price! Definite place to get BBQ in Columbia.

Celebrated my son's MU Graduation for a group of 30. It started out at 20 and I had to bump it up just a few days prior to the event. But wasn't an issue. From the first call, Lissa's communication was excellent, she is very professional and yet seemed like I was talking to a long time friend. The price is very reasonable and the food is delicious. But what I appreciated most was the hospitality and service! We dropped off our decorations and the staff was kind enough to set them out just before our event. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the buffet! Food was hot long after the last person made it through the line. I saw many people go back up for 2nds :) I highly recommend Smokin' Chick's for a catered event or just stop in for lunch. The menu has a wide variety of options and the beer on tap is local.
This place is by far the worst BBQ I have ever been to. The service was slow, the food was mediocre at best, and on top of all of that it ended up making me sick. If you care about your friends and family please warn them to NEVER EAT AT THIS PLACE if they value their health.

Pleasantly surprised. Had a pretty good rating on Google Maps, but several poor reviews. The ribs I had were so good, I ate them without sauce; a rare occurrence. (And there were five sauces to choose from!) Beans were standard, but flavorful. The slaw had a subtle flavor and great crunch. Loved this visit. Will visit again when I'm back in Columbia.

Ribs and pulled pork where good, but the proportions are off. My friend ordered a 'large' salad and it was almost the same size as the small. The staff forgot to bring us on of our orders and we were the only ones in the store. I'm sure this place has good wings, but everything on the menu should be good. The cheesy potato's were good while they were hot, but quickly got soggy.
I wasn't very impressed with the food. It was kinda pricey... I spent 63 dollars on ribs and they were still cold when she served them and the flavor was so so!!!! The customer service was good though.
My husband and I had the worst BBQ we have ever had here. The service was also sub par, but the food was just the worst. Dry, no flavor, lacking salt... it seemed like the meat was reheated in the microwave and then put on a grill. We will not be going back.

Overall it wasn't bad. The turkey sandwich is definitely better at buckinghams. The potato salad was okay, but nothing special. I did however order pigs in a blanket - extremely excited to eat those and received reheated mini corn dogs.. completely devastated. Just beware of what they are if you order them. I really feel like they should just change the name of them to mini corn dogs since that's exactly what you're getting. The owner did make it right by offering a refund but still I sit here today, without pigs in a blanket.
