Can't say we were impressed with the so called professionals... sadly. Project they manage was horribly delayed. Had to chase all the time to get the work completed. In fact the project is now nine months late and I have broken Windows over my head as I write which still are not fixed. Further the builder has broken audio speakers too and left it dirty everywhere. If Smith Baxter think this a good way to manage a project then I think they should be ashamed. Not even an apology. It was late ... there were defective works ... Windows were broken ... and equipment broken ... and essentially everything is still dirty even though the project was supposed to complete nine months ago. Yes think three stars sums up the Smith Baxtet ork and general poor attitude in the project.

Smith Baxter were the cheapest of three quotes I received, and also responded most quickly. On the job they were efficient and courteous and completed the Party Wall agreement to a tight timeline. Would highly recommend

James and the team at Smith Baxter recently helped us with a party wall agreement for our garage conversion and extension. They came as a recommendation from one of our friends and I would happily recommend them to others. They made the whole process extremely simple and pain free both for us and our neighbours (it was the first time I had had to deal with something like this and so was more than a little confused until I spoke to the Smith Baxter team).

James was quick to respond via email and on the phone and he helped us finalise things on quite a tight deadline.

James Sheppard at Smith Baxter recently provided a party wall survey and agreement for us. James was very knowledgable and able to answer our neighbours questions and put us at ease with the process. The survey report was detailed and through and all information was provided in a timely manner. From previous experience with surveyors, Smith Baxter has definitely been the best. I would recommend.

We have used Smith Baxter twice in the last six months for our upcoming extension. Firstly, we worked with John, a structural engineer, who helped us with our beam calculations. John was very helpful, professional and prompt and he was able to put us in contact with other professionals that could help us with our work.

We also needed a party wall agreement with our neighbours which James, a senior building surveyor, has sorted out for us. James has also been very helpful and easy to communicate with and was able to keep costs down.

I am very pleased with the help I have received from Smith Baxter and am glad I decided to use their services. I would recommend them to anyone undertaking building work.

Our experience with Smith Baxter stands head and shoulders above any other experience both from the time of our build and in our recent memory. We dealt directly with Peter Smith over the course of a year on two different challenges involving the same neighbour and Peter was highly professional, extremely informed and moreover, incredibly patient during what was a very stressful time. Smith Baxter's approach to their customers is an example of how a service should be, which is sadly lacking in many other consumer experiences these days.
