I chose Smart Tax to prepare my taxes based upon previous reviews that I have read about their services. Add my commendations to the list. The price was slightly higher than my previous tax preparer, but you get what you pay for. Here s a break down of what I liked and what I appreciated:

2. Easy to get a hold of and schedule an appointment
3. Great follow-up
4. I loved that I had the option to complete my appointment virtually or in person
5. The appointment was very thorough; I feel like Carlos left no stone unturned when it came to looking for eligible deductions (yes, fully legitimate deductions)
6. I REALLY liked that I received an email notification confirming that my taxes had been electronically filed and they provided the link where I can track my refund status through the IRS website
7. They literally kept me informed every step of the way
I ve been coming here for a long time. They have ALWAYS been very friendly, upfront and fair. Carlos and Karla know what they are doing. They provide a comprehensive organizer to ensure I have everything I need, minimizing multiple emails or trips there. My daughter has them do her taxes and everything is done via email.
