Skycity has some amazing facilities, especially the Infinity and Lagoon pools, restaurants are quite good and the rooms are really comfortable and clean.

The Casino is awesome but the rooms are bitterly cold with no option to switch off the aircon. Also, they are advertising last months specials this month (not valid), no one is keeping track on current changes for the customers. Service is friendly
It needs a more active poker room. I think more frequent tournaments and $1/$2 cash games would help bring in players.
Great place to visit and helpful staff food good value for money
So much fun, great pool but be prepared to wait for a drink.
We have a beautiful dinner with my friends and injoy ourselves the staff are very friendly
Shocking, the vue restaurant was very average, small meals very limited menu, to hard basket attitude from waitress when we asked for a second round of drinks, a look of disbelief struck her face, that we would ask for something. The casino used to be a good night out, wont be back very very disappointed.
Had amazing food at The Vue on NYE. And absolutely no words for the pool and pool area. Just amazing!
I had a wedding booked there for 40 people at Sunset on Monday. Instead of calling me and letting me know they had closed down for a bit - i had to see for my self over the weekend!!!! THANKS
Have been very well looked after. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Swim up bar was awesome
The beers cold, the locals are friendly, great deals for dinner in the Sports Bar.
Unfortunately my recent experience at your resort was so bad, I checked out a day early. When I arrived the gentleman who was acting as the Concierge was fantastic! Extremely happy and welcoming. I thought it was a great start. I was greeted by a very unfriendly lady at reception who checked me in. I went to my room and tried to settle in. As I was on an early flight, I went to close the blinds and have a nap. I discovered that the T.V in the bedroom was faulting and the blind in the bedroom was broken. I went downstairs to report it. I asked for them both to be looked at or could I please have another room. The gentleman who was at Reception said they could get someone to look at the TV but all the blinds in the rooms were the same so I would have the exact same problem. He went on to tell me that I was closing it incorrectly. I asked could they look at it anyway while attending to the TV. I knew I was operating the blind correctly and that the maintenance person would see for themselves. I went out for a while and when I came back to the room the TV was fixed but not the blind. On Friday the same thing happened, the TV was faulting. I rang downstairs and asked for someone to have a look. One of the Concierge team and was extremely helpful and fixed it to which I was very grateful. I ended up placing a book on the bottom of the blind to try and hold it and left it at that. I wanted to do some shopping so I went downstairs and was told by a different concierge team member that the city was a good place to go shopping. He gave me a map and ordered me a taxi. I happily took his advise and off I went. Problem was that it was a public holiday and everything was closed. I was annoyed at my complete waste of time and taxi fare money and returned to my room. On the Saturday, a magical pair of curtains had been hung up in my bedroom. Now, I had only mentioned the blinds once on the Thursday and didn't bring it up again after being made to feel like an idiot, but obviously either the person who attended or the cleaning staff had also noticed. On the Sunday afternoon, I went to open the cupboard door on the dresser in the bedroom and the door fell off and hit my foot. I was furious and in a lot of pain. I expected a higher quality of room for the price that I paid. I ended up changing my flight and checking out first thing on the Morning. I paid for my room in advance. I wasn't asked if I would like a credit voucher for a night (seeing that I had paid till the Tuesday) or any type of refund for the unused stay. I was nothing but kind, considerate to all staff, tipped every service person I encountered and extremely polite. Pity the Reception staff didn't hold their guest in the same regard. I will definitely be staying at SkyCity Darwin again.
Enjoyed our stay at sky city .Would love to see a shuttle bus into town .
Love the sand bar , all the restaurants and pool are good
We had great service. Food and beverage was excellent-presentation, amount, the way it is cooked. The whole event was catered well, no problem with the cleanliness of the toilets. We had a wonderful night.
I went to a wedding on the lawns and reception in the grand ballroom. The ballroom was amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was top notch. I also had a cocktail in the Sandbar which was tasty, if a little overpriced
The room that the hotel allocation, even though on the expedia website it was explained with either a garden or ocean view, had a view of the car park. No solution was offered. No compensation given. We checked out after a sleepless night as the room also was right next to the air conditioning unit. The TV also did not work. There would be no reason I would ever recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at Sky City many times now and on this trip which was short and sweet i thoroughly enjoy my stay .I found my room very satisfying and it was the best room i have stayed in clean and well presented, staff as always were very friendly and helpful .
Seafood at the Buffet was not the best prawns were soft bugs were dry sandcrabs were soft .hot food & Dessert was excellent
Terrific Seniors lunch....great value, great selection
Relaxed and casual atmosphere
Amazing event
Nice cool rooms in a hot and humid day! Nice food services. Polite food and drink waitress. Will definitely go back again.
Visited on our honeymoon, it immediately seemed like heaven on earth. So beautiful that it almost detracts from the natural beauty typical of the Australian Northern Territory. Complete with everything, starting with two huge swimming pools (one more gigantic than the other), a huge and very luxurious casino and a great variety of choice among many different restaurants ... All without ever leaving the hotel!
In addition, it is located a stone's throw from the beach overlooking the ocean and a stone's throw from a nice local outdoor market.
If one day we were to return to Australia, this would be the first destination!
For us it is worth 5 stars!
Rooms were good. Dinner booked out so got room service which was good. Breakfast was luke warm at the best.
Loved spending 6 nights here. So much going on. Two pools (infinity was my favourite). Casino if you want to chance your hand. Dress code for Casino is relaxed. Buffet breakfast is fab. Staff are informative and helpful. Don't forget to check out the NT news paper which the resort delivers to your room each morning, best headlines I have ever read.
We have stayed a few times and we really like it at Sky city. This time however we were in an interconnecting room that channeled the guests next door voices very loudly and very clearly into our room. It started at 4.30am and by 5.30am we called security to take a look which they did. They came to our room and understood what we were talking about and nicely let the people next door know that we could hear everything. Would not stop us coming back, design of the rooms is not a reflection of the staff that handled our situation, quickly and professionally.
Really lovely place to visit and an amazing pool. I recommend it if you want to stay for awhile.
The buffet dinner was quite good for the majority. Staff were very friendly.
Worst place to go ever, save yourself the time, no tables open, no food, bars shut, people in thongs, the worst venue in Austrralia not a place for a fun evening. We have been to other casinos in Oz this place doesn't even deserve 1 star!!!
One of my favorite places for Buffet in Darwin. The food is delicious and good in quality. The price is absolutely economical at $35 per person. If you like Arabic cuisines, try their bbq nite.
So happy with your friendly and helpful staff. Rooms was bigger than I expected and was truly spotless clean. Keep it up.
Great food, great atmosphere and service was decent aswell
Great place to hang out and relax for a couple of nights. The Sports Bar is my favourite spot and the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Ashleigh.
Pretty nice place, very big resort. It's a nice comfortable place with great pool area and bar.
Nice casino, in a wonderful location, staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly, service is great food was wonderful the atmosphere is very relaxed, sunset over the back into the ocean from the infinity pool was a wonder to watch plenty of tables and friendly croupiers, well worth a visit if you get the chance
it was a nice stay, but had to ask to change room so i could have a bath. Bath size is really small think the bathrooms need updating.
Also the air-con was too cold , wet season outside with rain & storms made the temperature drop. called reception to ask how to adjust the air con temp, to be told you cant, was so uncomfortably cold all rooms should have a air con remote to adjust accordingly, not everyone has the same body temp.
Food and atmosphere is a bit lackluster for a casino
Casino Pretty good. Very relaxed atmosphere. Resort great clean great when you want a weekend get away and gamble.
Both queen size beds had sand all over them, charged $15 for valet parking which we didn t get and the boom gate was missing totally from the car park which allowed anyone to park in there.
Small casino but clean and reasonably priced meals. Rooms were comfortable.
Had dinner at the cove. Service great and the food was awesome
Not sure how to rate zero. No customer service skills - zero on anticipating guest needs. The nice lagoon but doesn't make up for the lack of everything else including low level of cleanliness. Definitely not recommended. Ridiculously overpriced. I am sure you can find other places that can provide better value.
This review regards the hotel accomodation and not the resort accomodation.
On arrival the room we had specifically spoken with the reservations clerk about and booked was unavailable. This constitutes a breach of agreement, as we would not have stayed if we had known. Whilst we were offered a resort room this did not provide the ocean view, quiet or privacy we required and had been very specific about when booking.
The mould in the air conditioning system us a public health hazard. I have taken photos. The mould us so bad we lived on a diet of anti-histamine.
Having a smoking area below rooms is unacceptable: as a public heLth specialist this also contravenes regulations. It also meant the balcony of the first room we were assigned was unusable.
The rooms are old and decrepit, the beds uncomfortable - the hotel desperately needs a refurbishment and clean. Simple maintanance would help, cupboard doors stick and the balcony roof (in our second room) had a large unsightly hole.
Some issues that we had were mainly with housekeeping. We were a bit shocked when we came back to the room after it was allegedly "made up". Our rubbish bins weren't emptied, the floor wasn't vacuumed, and the new towels were still a bit damp.
Sports bar was good. Lots of TV's showing all the games.
The only disappointing thing was the room smelt like mould and the carpet was damp which was the same as the last time I stayed. Time for a renovation! Other than that, eeverything else was perfect!
Friendly staff. Room was nice enough but the bathroom was very small.
The Vue restaurant buffet was awesome and the Monday+Tuesday price was outstanding!
I woke up in the morning covered in welts from bug bites. Totally unacceptable.
Suckme dry and everyone else. Needs more customers satisfactions. Cough up a little
Nice place what can have fan and enjoy the sunset in full relax and have a great ocean wiev
Everything up to expectations. Meals served within 30 mins was a bonus. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
The Infinity Pool and a bottle of Champagne and cocktails and lunch in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years we are blessed
Lovely spot for a snack and a drink, beautiful views, a must do.
Pretty good casino, wasn't too busy and clean and fairly quiet for what it is
