Really nice place! But also veeeery expensive and there is nothing else in the area it seems - so you have to buy at the hotel s prices. But we really enjoyed our stay and the food and service was of the best quality!!
Really great for a luxurious weekend stay - but be prepared to spend some money.

Lovely room, great dinner. Spa area was very busy during the afternoon, had to wait for some time to get a spot in the sauna and had to ask a few times for a towel. A few elements didn't work in the spa like a seat at the UV therapy, a water jet in the pool. Breakfast was very simple. A few touches could have made it a great stay.

Had booked for New Year

Had booked for New Year
The room had to be cleaned, dead flowers removed, no new ones or table dried off.
Dinner started with 4 poached oysters on 1 plate, you just can't divide that
The cod was refrigerator cold
Pour overcooked, and cold, bad hollandaise so taste
Werllington nicely fried but amateur cooks cold and the dough falls off and was not crispy.
Is surprise OK and nothing else
Do not understand a hotel of this standard can not provide any food that lives up to the Price.
Don't be money, bad experience

Wonderful trip outside the city for a day of relaxation. 20 minutes from Copenhagen was great way to spend a rainy Sunday. The spa package was worth every penny from the luxurious baths to the relaxing massage and the romantic lunch. Facilities were spotless and friendly staff. Couldn t have ask for anything more.

Nice hotel and especially the spa department is of very high quality.
There is a cozy and calm atmosphere on the premises and although there can be many people at times, it does not feel that way.
The place is perfect for self pampering and relaxation.
Definitely worth a visit!

This hotel is absolutely amazing! I spent my weekend together with my better half with a lovely view from our room and spa time. The spa, restaurant and bar are perfect surroundings for a getaway. The lobby is super comfy with board games and the bar provides very tasteful cocktails.
An overall perfect weekend!

Really nice spa department, we will undoubtedly visit again. The hotel room we had was fine enough, but nothing special. We ate at their own restaurant (not the very expensive one) and it was not worth the visit. Poor service and mediocre food, not what to expect from the prices. Next time we will take a burger in the lobby instead.

Lively place for a spa retreat - worth noting if you re going as a group, that the treatment packages including spa access is often cheaper than spa access on its own. Kind of a funny pricing structure there.

Worst experience ever.

Worst experience ever.
in short then nothing worked and when we complained about it we were offered a new stay where they once again totally failed.

Super service, clean, delicious karmameju soaps in the room.
Minus was the food. It was not quite optimal.
And that the bathrobes only come in a size that does not fit people over XL.
But super friendly service and delicious spa area. Visit it around 5.30pm so there are not that many people

Haven't stayed there but looked at rooms - which were nice, clean and well appointed. There's a extensive spa, restaurant, etc. Pricey, but a nice property, where the staff were professional, courteous and helpful.

Great spa facilities, great nordic design rooms, top class healthy breakfast. Classy lobby and good restaurants, sometimes with live jazz. Restaurants and drinks are more expensive than in Copenhagen.

Location could be better as it located right on a busy Strandvej road, making car noise a constant companion if you go outside.

Very nice hotel but unfortunate episode in the spa...

Very nice hotel but unfortunate episode in the spa meant that sadly we will be unlikely to come back.

The hotel first surprised me on the upside. The food, the refurbishment of an old house in a modern hotel and the beautiful spa area are all very well done. It looks like one of the best hotel by the coast.

Then, we had an unfortunate episode. We were booked in a Saunagus session one morning and then went to the spa. We were ready 30 minutes before the session and asked the attendant where to go. The attendant told us to come back at 11:30 and that he was looking forward to perform the Saunagus. We came back a good few minute before the session and the attendant answered rather rudely that the seat had been given to other customers. We complained to the spa manager and went on with our day, quite disappointed to have wasted one hour of our short getting away weekend for nothing. We went on with our day and the spa management called at 14:15 telling us that they apologized for the earlier inconvenience and they were giving us 2 spots at the 15:00 session. By then, we were already gone on an excursion unable to accept such an offer at such short notice.
I really hate to complain but unfortunately, after such an experience I didn't know how to enjoy my stay at the hotel. Paying 2000kr a night to celebrate a special occasion there was a mistake. It could have turned out perfect but it didn't, the remedy offered by the management of the hotel was insufficient to let us move on to have a good rest of the weekend.

Lovely place. Good facilities in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, the room was not ready on arrival. Their cocktail card is boring and uninspiring. The evening meal was fantastic on a par with the best restaurants in Copenhagen. Good friendly and knowledgeable service, it is clear that they are skilled servants. The spa facilities are amazing nothing less. The breakfast buffet was boring, narrow selection that was eg. no scrambled eggs and bacon. Below average in relation to cafes in Copenhagen and in sharp contrast to their dinner. All in all, an excellent place and a mixed pleasure.

Plus:

Plus:
Delicious food in the restaurant (Menu by Kroun)
Incredibly good wine pairing for this
Friendly waiters
OK Spa

Minus:
Room keys that seemed sporadic
Not everything worked in the spa, about 1/3 of the things did not work (those that could be turned on).
Slow service and long time between dishes in the restaurant
Slightly deficient guidance and information
"Double bed" consisting of two beds that stood close together, with cracks in between

We were on their Gourmet stay.

We paid extra for a Superior double room with ocea...

We paid extra for a Superior double room with ocean view or garden view and was given a standard double room with a view of the traintracks and with the train passing every ten minutes. Also, we had to pay extra 500 DKK for the breakfast becasue we booked through Expedia and not the hotels own site and paying the same for the room as everybody else.

When we notified the staff they were arrogant and it was clear to us that they are used to getting complains and they used standard phrases to excuse for the situation but they couldnt do anything about it. They kept telling us that we were given the room we booked despite there were pictures of our exact room on the website showed at the category Standard Room.

Service-wise this was far from good experience. The spa was really medium and the brasserie restaurant was nothing special compared to the price.

All in all it was disappointing experience when you take the price into consideration.

Pros: Great ambience, clean bathrooms and nice view to the sea. Hotel is newly furbished and well designed. Spa is not big but well enough to make you feel relaxed.
Cons: General service level is sub-par. Spa employees seemed to be more focused on closing on time rather than servicing customers - our clothes, towels and slippers were taken to the laundry room while hanging outside the sauna we were sitting in. An apology would have made a huge difference - but not a single word was said.
Rooms are small and beds not super comfortable.

Good day

Good day

A lunch on a regular Wednesday in October. md. Have my walk in Skodsborg fitness, have been going there for 15 years. Lives in the area myself.

Order a piece of bread with eggs and shrimp. (it was really well made, tasted great), the praise in the garden.

The one for 5 stars,

what pulls down is when to order, there stands an employee, just that day, angry, what do you need.

You can see on the menu what we have. I became such a bit, god now I have to hurry, nothing to suggest anything.

I have traveled around the world, been to hotels of different price ranges.

But here on Wednesday, it was just too much.

The one for 0 stars, might climb up to 1 star.

Yours sincerely

Really nice surroundings and very nice hotel with a very cozy courtyard. The spa was really nice and many delicious saunas and various spas.

We arrived a long way from and after check in at 3pm there is no food to be had at the hotel other than some olives, drinks or salted almonds.
We therefore had to wait 2.5 hours for the restaurant to open. Incidentally, the food was really good when we were finally able to order.
The room was cozy and clean, but there was no room for shampoo and conditioner.
Breakfast was overprized though and for a plate with a bland side dish.
