Skillings and sons does everything for us including maintaining our well, and providing our water treatment and maintaining our water treatment systems. They are the best. The came with hours of a broken well pump and have been great for all other services. Prices are reasonable.

The service technicians were knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to fix my well issue within a couple of hours. I was super happy to have running water again.

These guys are amazing. i called on a cold day saying i lost all water and heat. by noon a guy was out and by 5 pm it was fixed. i would recommend them to anyone! they even saw things that down the road i should look at with no pressure to do them but were happy to give us a quote.

These guys are amazing! Their service guy John was super helpful, efficient, and got down to business as soon as he arrived. He explained everything as he went. I would do business all over again with them they were so professional. I highly recommend this company this is my second encounter with them and their level and quality of work has not changed in the 20 years my dad and I have known them!

Had them out to take a look at a well pump for my sprinklers. Technician took the well pump off and put on a hand pump to make sure the well was good which it appears to be good. They charged me about $1000 to repair the Gould pump. Found out later that a brand new one is about $400. (Felt very ripped off)

After they reinstalled the old pump and the system still was not working they said the well was bad and would have to have it replaced. That would be another $7k to $10k.

After a bunch of YouTube videos later on how to check my well and also how to install a pump I was able to get it to work. So not only did I pay way to much for a repair, they almost had me spending $7-10K needlessly.

The technician was very knowledgeable. He was able to identify an internal leak in the water pressure tank that I was not aware.

He gave me all the information he had on how he knew there was a leak and if fixed what performance improvement I would notice. He was right.
I had him fix the problem. Before the fit I could only run 1 outside faucet at a time. Now the water system has so much extra pressure that I can easily run 2 outside faucets at a time. All thanks to a tech that cared

Absolutely unbelievable service. Never scene anything like it. Water pressure went dead at 6 PM on a Sunday night. By 3PM on Monday afternoon, we had a new pump, wiring, switch, etc. Richard was very knowledgeable, answered my questions, didn't try to oversell me, and was clean and efficient. I will definitely use these guys again and will definitely recommend them. Thank you!

We moved into a new house in January 2020 and had some water quality issues (iron and odor). Called Skillings and they sent someone out and had a remedy in place within a couple weeks. The service tech was courteous and efficient and did a great job.

Skillings & Sons are lifesavers. I live in Massachusetts and I contacted well companies here to try to remove my well pump that had died and could not be pulled up. The companies here said I would need to drill a new well. I called Skillings & Sons and explained the situation. They came to my house the next day (a 2 1/2 hour drive from their location) and was able to install a new well pump. The crew and service department were very professional and knowledgable. I am so glad I contacted them. They arrived quickly and was the only company that cared enough to resolve my problem. What else really impressed me is the fact that they could have taken advantage of me but they didn't. Their price was so reasonable that I couldn't believe it. A company that cares, is prompt and has a world of integrity is almost unheard of today. But Skillings & Sons is all of these and more. I tell everyone about them and always will.

I would highly recommend Skillings & Sons for all your well services. They did a fantastic job from well installation, to the Franklin Electric Controller, to the water filtration system to the chlorination of the lines. Every single one of the technicians was outstanding, friendly and more than happy to explain the details. More importantly they communicated very well on every level. My initial contact and contact throughout this process was Dennis Bennett. I can not say enough about his willingness to take a call, communicate through a text or email and to follow up on a question if need be in a timely manner as well as explain in detail.

Tech's are great, service is great, but with that they are on the expensive side

I had an issue with my water flow owing to a sedimentation filter. Skilling & sons were very reasonably priced. They came on time and also gave recommendation to install a larger filter. They were very courteous and followed protocol during Covid. I strongly recommend them for any work related to heating and plumbing

I kept losing pressure on the well so I called Skillings and they came the very next day. Within a matter of minutes they found the pump was bad and set about replacing it.
Once the work was finished they explained the flushing procedure and what to look for to make sure the water was clean. I had a garden hose out a window from the tank to flush the water through. I had a length of perforated drain pipe in the yard and they stretched it out and placed the hose so as not to damage the yard or foundation with the run off.

Very happy with the work that was done and the fact they went the extra mine with the drain pipe!

We had a filter installed to address the pH and corrosiveness in our well water. It was eating our copper pipes from the inside. We had some fittings starting to leak and green stains in our tubs and sinks. Brian came out and took the time to look everything over and listen to our concerns and propose the solution. The price was fair and installation was scheduled quickly. The techs were competent, friendly and clean. Explained to me how to use the system. We've had no problems since and are very happy with the whole experience. I'm a general contractor and have always referred my clients (and anyone who asks) to Skillings, and will continue to do so!

Skillings services our residential water including the well, advanced filtration and iron removal. Recently, our 30 year old well pump failed, and they responded and had our water restored within 24 hours. Always quality work done in a timely manner. I will never do business with skillings again, and would never recommend them to any family, friend, or associate. I have never experienced such poor service from a company that is so well reviewed and claims they care about their customers. After 11 months our business together is finally over and I could not be more dissatisfied. Hiring skillings was one of the biggest mistakes I have made as a home owner.

They arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue, and replaced a defective pump controller with an improved model. They clearly knew the history of their supported pump equipment and so made very efficient use of their time. Consummate professionals.

I had a leak in the main shut off valve and when they came they said that my system needed a tune up. They were fast and professional. They said that they would follow up in another 5 years. They re-pressurized my tank as well.

Skillings was the first and still only company we worked with to maintain our well and pump and install and maintain our water purification system. They've always provided the best possible service and the highest quality work at a reasonable price. We literally wouldn't consider anyone else.

We ran out of water on a Saturday morning and they were on site in a few hours. They tried a few things with no success and determined we had to replace the pump. They didn't have the one we needed on the truck, and by this time it was late afternoon. They managed to get the system running in "limp mode" to get us through the night and came back Sunday morning to install the new pump.

As soon as they unloaded it started to snow. Heavy, wet snow... all day. They stuck it out in terrible conditions, completing the work by 3pm, and we were back in the 21st century with indoor running water! Weekend work can be pricey, but water is priceless, so no regrets about the cost. I'm sorry I can't remember the names of the two techs, but you should give them both a raise :) They kept a great attitude in spite of the weather, and were a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend these guys enough!

Very happy with S&S. They just came out to clean our entire well system (radon, softener, pipes, well reserve, and more) since we bought this new-to-us house and they did a fabulous job. Rich Harper was our technician and he really did a thorough job, even giving some advice on different salt to use for our softener to keep the system running cleaner. Rich was very knowledgable and kind.

Lost water on a Friday night. Immediate response from company. Within 30 minutes tech texted me and I shared problem and pictures of equipment. Tech provided best guess of what issue might be, how much it might cost to repair, and offered a time window to do the work the next morning. Tech and assistant arrived as promised and replaced dead pump within estimated time. Fair prices and professional techs. Also inspected entire system and made recommendations for future work. We are a 30-unit condominium association with 25% of our units affordable housing . As such we have limited financial resources to maintain some very expensive systems. We need cost effective/cost sensitive vendors. Skillings has proven to be just that. They have been maintaining our PWS equipment for almost 16 years. They have repaired or replaced our large capacity pumps several times. If a pump can be repaired versus replaced, they find someone to do it; which saves us a lot of money. Skillings just replaced our 16 year-old well pump. This included replacing the control panel, pump, wiring and new PVC piping. They gave us an estimate before work began. They did an excellent job, completed on time and wound up invoicing us almost $300 less than the quote. Who does business like that today? We also contracted them to rebed our chemical treatment system. They quoted less than the firm we had used twice before. Again, they came in at or below budget. Lastly, the big difference between Skillings and others, is that when you call them, day or night, they get right back to you and stick with you until the issue is resolved. We usually deal with Scott Boggis who always helps us out. We have always found their staff professional, knowledgeable and responsive.

Averill House Vineyard was dead in the water without water, Rich from skillings put a crew together that got it done! They are punctual, clean and real people.

I had to have my well casing extended. I was going to be gone for over a week needed next day service. They worked their schedule around and they got me in the next morning. They were very great people on the phone and in person. Great work done. And best of all price was less than quoted.

I arrived home late last night to find that we had no water. Being a tradesman I tried a few things on my own this morning however once it was clear that the pump needed replacement I called Skillings. In the middle of a Summer like we've been having they managed to get a crew here, not only on the same day I called but, within a few hours. The technicians quickly verified the problem and began the pump replacement .Within an hour of their arrival the old pump was out , the new one was ready for install and not long after that we had water .
Our well is over 200 ft deep and this pump had been in place for at least 17 years. Although no one can expect this type of service to be free, I can say without hesitation, the cost was more than reasonable particularly given how quickly they responded and how efficiently they performed.Obliviously I hope to not need this service again soon, if and when the time comes I know who I'll be calling

Absolutely fantastic response to my well failure and resolution. However, I wish you could have restored the earth you dug up in my front yard. I am impaired and will have to hire out just to cover the hole you left.

We had a leak in the junction of pipe from our well to the pump inside the house. The guys needed to pull up the lines, debug the problem, and then fix the leak. All in a VERY tight space on a OLD system. THEN the pump would not prime and restart. After several trys, the guys came up with a creative solution! They needed to come back the next day, but were here promptly first thing and made it work! WOOHOO! THANK YOU!

We have used Skillings since 2005 for well service most recently spring 2019 when we woke up to no water. They have always been prompt with their response and the workers are knowledgeable and courteous. They will recommend what is needed and let you decide, there is no hard sell. Usually it is what it is, if you need a new pump, you need a new pump. They also explain what they did or why they reached their conclusion which to me is important. I highly recommend them based on my experiences with them.

The guys did a great job replacing the well pump. And the cost was reasonable. Very happy I will definitely use them in the future.

I knew through multiple channels when a crew would be over... there was not a delay in getting Technicians over to look at the issue I was having... prior to the arrival, an email was send over with the Technicians photos, etc... Skillings installed my water tank & well 43 years ago. I have had your technicians fix, recharge, troubleshoot & keep my water system in tip-top shape every time I called for service. I recently had a shorted-out pump that was also stuck down my well and wouldn t come out. I tried calling many drill/well companies who did not want to take this type of job, and some that just recommended I dig a new Well which would have cost tens of thousands of dollars. This was my main water source and I was stuck without water for weeks. After being referred to Skillings & Sons, they responded in a timely manner and were up for the job with custom built tools. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Mr. Skillings personally came out and was able to resolve my problem the same day with his crew. I m forever grateful to him and his team.

Called right when they opened and had a service crew in my driveway 4 hours later. They were curious and professional. They had my well issue diagnosed very quickly. Resolved that issue and with no pressure recommended a couple other things to keep me trouble free. They provide a reasonable quote and could take care of everything on that visit.
