Grandkids always have a good time when we take them
This place is always crowded even on weekdays. Be prepared to bring camping chairs if you want a place to sit. The water is not heated so even if it's hot, the water is freezing cold.
Fun for the whole family. Bring sunscreen friends.
Worst place ever ! Mother s that are nursing please don t go to this park they don t allow you to feed your baby I had the worst experience when one of the employees send me to the bathroom to feed my baby because I was showing to much ! I was covering my self but he didn t care. I m sorry but there s more people showing more skin than what I was showing
Fun but lines were long and everything was expensive
Fun place but make sure you re wearing water shoes and the slides are very slippery in the kids section. The wave pool is so much fun but having water shoes helps ESPECIALLY for the kids. The large pool that goes around the park was very dirty which is why I think it is so necessary that adults should wear water shoes. Make sure that you bring sunscreen. There are lockers inside which are available in different sizes . Drinks are expensive unless you have the membership . Have fun!
Very nice and pretty clean park. Virtually identical to raging waters basically but with membership you get all of the six flags parks for free so its really a hell of a deal! Highly recommend!
The slides and the pools are very kid friendly, and I loved the security.
Came here when it was Waterworld. I loved this place. I hung out on the lazy river. That was more my style.
Water park looks very fun, but it gets too full so we couldn t really enjoy. There was very little space to walk. I would still recommend this place.
Money vacuum!!! Way over priced food and geared to lure you to purchase their annual passes for admission, food and drink. If you don't visit this place often, be prepared to burn through a lot of money here.
If you've been here then you know. Little to no effort from six flags to improve this year.
I don't plan on going back so the review will stay at 1 star.
Sunsplash will continue to receive my business.
It is awesome!! Amazing place for the summer and great food
They took away our Discovery Kingdom season passes & replaced them with membership passes even though 6 Flags DK were already paid in full. I don't think Hurricane Harbour knows what they are doing.
First I should mention that Six Flags bought this water park about a year ago, so they haven't had much time to make improvements or anything yet. It used to be Waterworld USA. That being said, it's a decent park overall. The one significant thing that they should address first is the restaurants and places to eat. They need more places to eat and they also need more sport bottle refill stations for people who are members or pass holders who have the sport bottles. When I went to refill my bottle, pretty much the only refill station they had didn't have any ice. Other than that, it's a good park. They have room to expand and add more slides, etc which I expect they will do starting this winter.
Minimal services, lack of crowd control... and not enough support staff!
The lines were extremely long and there wasn't much shade. The kids area was under construction, but did look promising!
The park seemed to have a lot of potential but we were sorely disappointed.
The good:
- The Park is well decorated and nicely layed out.
- The rides are fun and enjoyable under the right conditions.
The Bad:
- Tubes are allowed in the wave pool. This is seriously not safe. I saw kids on life jackets being run over by adults in tubes. Literally the kid is underwater in a life jacket and there's a tube on top pushing him underwater and the person on the tube has no clue what's going on. Double tubes may have two adults. This is several hundreds pounds pushing, smashing, trapping swimmers. And no one seems to care... If you go in the wave pool be prepared (as an adult) to push back hard to keep from being run over by tubes.
- The cost of parking and entry only cover half the cost of the park. Lockers: $11/$13, Tube Rentals: $8/$13, Food is just as expensive. If you don't have a tube you end up waiting longer for tube slides.
- Crowd control, and line management are absolutely horrible. On one ride there's supposed to be two lines yet there's no signs, ropes or barriers to let anyone know. So when people come running up around you in line, the obvious "hey your cutting in line" discussion begins. Other rides had lines but the way the line was structured it was not clear one was supposed to wait to get a tube or that the slides are tube only. They left a clear path with no barriers up to the slide. On non-tube slides the line was super slow because the staff was not looking to fill all the slides with riders. The speed slides were often empty so only 2 of 4 slides were in use. Better planning, splitting lines, and someone to help with filling the slides would do a lot.
- Stated park policies are not upheld or even attempted to be held.
- Dirt. There's a surprising amount of areas where there's dirt instead of grass or landscaping. Some of these filled with water to make nice mud holes.
- Only 1 bathroom. When the park gets crowded the bathrooms are a mess! Add poor signage / planning to that and you have women coming to the men's restroom thinking it's men's / women's. Confusion and chaos.
If you have a child under 48 inches don t bother coming here unless you want a day full of disappointment.
Slides are great. The line for food was outrageous. We spent 1.5 hours in line for so so food. Adding more restaurants or properly staffing them would help a lot.
My family and I love it here. Only thing that we have a hard time with is the enormous lines at the snack shack and the customer service once you reach the front of the line. Other than that the park is nice and relaxing.
This place is a water park not an amusement park. Six Flags charges too much for the entrance and the parking has increased to $25.
It's fun but it's definitely not worth the money!
Unprofessional staff, long lines, parking $25 overcrowded. No bueno at all.
The place is clean and employees really nice and friendly.
Long lines on the weekends. The ride that they free fall drop you is not for the faint of heart.
Rides are fantastic. Lines are a little long but the park is always enjoyable as a family outing.
Pro: my 13 yr old is in a wheelchair. When asked if we could take it in the wave pool we were told no but they had a water chair they provided us at no cost. Ty staff for all ur help. Made his day better.
Con: lazy river was closed
Needs more bathrooms, food on the menu not always available.
A water park which has something to offer to every age group. Easily accessible via I680 and plenty of parking available.
Great water park experience. But be ready to pay up. Everything is ridiculously overpriced. Can't bring your own inner tube either. Gotta pay 10 dollars to rent a single. Or $15 for a double.
Had so much fun with my family especially my babies they did not wanna leave they wanted to sleep there lols.Neithan was very helpful when we checked in n help us with our membership since six flags couldn t do it when they could of the first day we got our membership but overall everything was perfect got perfect parking plus lines n much faster than six flags looking forward to more days going here.
Kind of disappointed with first visit. The park closed early, expensive food was in many ways, sub par. Found the staff to be mostly unfriendly. I received more help from other patrons. They only had one place open for food, which resulted in long lines. Kitchen staff acted like they were paid to be sluggish and unresponsive. Truly a fail for the region's biggest water park. Being part of six flags family, I see the training they offer must be system wide, as discovery kingdom is just as pathetic.
I respect the policies of the park but sometimes there are exceptions for example with food, yesterday 10-08-2017 my 18-month-old girl always eats fruits I had with me 2 tangerines and 1 apple the security person told me it was forbidden to enter food I asked talking to the manager and another security person told me that he was the manager and he told me that it did not matter if it was for the baby he could not get food, I asked him if they sold that fruit inside the park and he told me not that if he wanted to give it to my girl when she wanted to eat had to leave the park to eat it and enter again without food, the security person who claims to be the manager says that his name is John and he decides what is done and what is not, it is ridiculous that Give importance to the needs of a child or baby.
My one year old son and I really enjoyed our time their. We definitely have to go back.
The rides, wave pool, and the lazy river is great and relaxing, but I have some problems...
1. Everything is overpriced. A bucket of chicken at six flags is 49.99 when you can go to KFC and get the same exact thing for 5$
2. The lines at the food court are MILES long. It takes you an hour just to get a small slice of pizza and some fries.
3. When Waterworld was still running this place, the water was clear and a blast to dive underwater. But when six flags took over, the water is now cloudy and not clear at all. I cant even see the edge of the wave pool underwater.
4. There is trash and a TON of leaves and sticks in the lazy river. You can't even go underwater without getting a leaf of stick in your mouth.
5. Its always crowded and in the wave pool everyone pushes or kicks you and it makes it very uncomfortable to go underwater.
6. You have to get to the park VERY early to get a good spot or you will have trouble finding a spot without having to be sunburned.
7. The water in the pools has an odor and I don't know what it is.
8. You have to pay 25.00 to get in the park.
Always take the kids every year. We get season passes.
Not all rides are open. It July people it's a water park this is your job get it together
Had alot of fun here. I had not been here for 17 years. I don't recall what it was like before but I love it now. If I lived in the area I would definitely get a season pass. Bathroom was gross but that is because people go in there all wet and makes the floor gross. Not really anything that could be done. So no big deal. Just wear shoes in there. We ate the chicken strips and fries. Super delicious. Best fries I've had in a while. We had the pizza too. By looking at it I thought it would be gross because it kind of looked like a generic frozen pizza. I was wrong it was amazing. The crust was so good. Tasted like a soft bread stick. Now I'm hungry. Lol. Definitely recommend getting a refillable drink.
My kids and I came here as part of an organized trip with other parents/classmates. It was a hot day (95F) and the park was very crowded. The kids had fun, but amenities can improve as well as enforcement of rules. There's only one set of restrooms and that is definitely NOT enough for the number of people at this park. It's not very clean either. Shaded seating is very limited so if this is what you want, get there early or splurge $250 for a shaded cabana.
Great park. Long lines. Get your season pass at Costco because it's much cheaper. I love going with friends.
Got here around 9:00 am to save $25 on parking. In security lane/line waited about 30 min so they can open up and start bag checking. BTW: NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED SO EAT AT HOME BEFORE COMING. Went thru security and then another line, YES ANOTHER ONE. Now we making line for ticket scanners. I ask kids to let us in or why don t they let us in n some blonde girl with glasses replied it s a slow day . THE DAY JUST STARTED HOW DO YOU KNOW ITS SLOW HONEY?! Then finally at 10:30 they started ticket scanning. I got in n enjoyed the park for about 4 hours. Kids started to get hungry n made line for about 45 min to get only 4 chicken strips and like 10 fries, was not happy (never am with food area). Splash water watever open up and kids had blast. I did like part where two young men walked up to us and asked how we enjoyed the new island.
Will be back
Food service takes a long time, but the park is well maintained and has a bunch of fun rides
This water park is not worth the full price of admission. We got tickets for 15 bucks as part of our six flags season pass. Would not pay more than 20 bucks to get in. The lines go by quick and they're not long, so that's a plus.
It was fun but when me my mom and my moms friends niece got to the top of the line to slide the big slide it broke and that was unfair because we spent a whole hour of our trip to go on that slide and we were very dissapointed
Although I'm giving them only 3 stars, it's an enjoyable place! I'm giving them three stars because of a few reason. First, on the website, they talked about bringing your toiletries to be able to shower before going home, yet their showers weren't working and their changing rooms were closed/ blocked off. Second, we spent about 3 hours in line for food!!! There were a few windows not open. I think they should have staffed better. We went on a Friday, and I don't think there were that many people either. Third, my friend's son is autistic, and they don't have special needs line! It's all upon the discretion of the staff for that line, which the staff told my friend and her child that they will let them skip the line if it's longer than 30 min, well, Big kahuna line was about an hour because some rafts were down, yet they didn't let them skip the line otherwise, it's not bad, considering this is included with our membership, and didn't have to pay extra fee to use this park.
2 stars only becuase my kids like it here and i enjoy the nice weather and the cool waters of the river so cold you feel it in the bones sometimes but nice when is hot weather the employee some are okay others just like to laugh at your face and others like to pretend they dont see you so customer service is ok no teamwork at this place they are lazy and food cookers are eh dry burger patties chicken tenders and chicken burgers dry dry dry dont spend your lunch or dinner here better to eat else where bring your own cold frozen waterbottles helps beat going to the refill stations soda machine sucks anyways bathrooms are being upgraded and might experience long wait times my sons slides were stolen so bring them with you at all times
My family loved it!! Clean safe and fun! Bring towels! They cost $20 if you dont
I loved it because it has so many water rides. If you plan to visit each do not need more than a chair to leave your things quickly go around the park. a year ago with $ 10 you can get before they open and away place. The tires also have a cost (individual or couple) that eventually you return a part.
The food is fine but there are long lines.
I ve been going here since I was a kid.... I even take my own kids now. I ve never had a bad experience until I went today, so we were second in line and it wasn t ten yet but they started checking the bags... it was just confusing because I thought the people who paid already were being checked.... we get our bags checked then have to go back out and get in line to purchase our tickets... the employee told us it was open to start buying the tickets but the lady at the window said no. The employee then tells us oh she s not open so I tell her why tell people she s open but she isn t? So we just wait.... then going swimming in the lazy river we went in the pool about six times then a guy blows his whistle at me and then asks is that denim ? I then replied no it s not and why all of a sudden you want to question me out of all people plus you can clearly see it was black swimming shorts. Then we go to get our funnel cake and churros before we head back home and it was 2:00pm and the cashier said we ran out of the batter for funnel cakes I said are you serious? I haven t seen anyone with a funnel cake and you guys are out then I get one churro and she just throws it on the counter then I feel it to see if it was fresh and it was hard as a rock. I then tell her I want a refund for my churro because I m not going to pay for something this hard to eat... her manager comes and asks for the recipient when I simply just bought it. I second guess coming and eating here now that they changed a lot since six flags took over! Plus last year we were able to bring our own glitter for my kids and they denied it this year... seriously disappointed with this place!
Great place but I really think that weight should be a factor for riding rides along with height. My daughter was tall enough with shoes but not without was a tad short. Exceptions should be made for very slight variences. I mean 3 inches on a string bean kid is one thing but a couple centimeters on a child with couple extra pounds should be an exception especially if they are not scared 1 bit.
Very long, very slow lines for food. Bring your own food. They have an area just outside the park where you can eat.
Wonderful time not roo long of lines except for food and drinks. But there was constantly a shortage of ice in the deink machines. And people leaving their things in chairs in the shase leaving no where for people who need to sit out for a bit no shade to cool down in because of towels ans back packs.
Awesome lazy river ,needs a litle effort in cleaning it, fun aquatics sites ,lines for foid take 40 min,a good deal is to have the year bottle, also upgrade to a diamond so you can eat every time there and well go as much as you can to take advantage of your purchase in both parks.
Ok. Too crowded. Need more shade. Food prices are ridiculous. $13 for a grilled hamburger. No food allowed inside park. Only water is fine.
The Big Kahuna is the one! Ride this and you may ride along the edges if your lucky. Feeling adventurous, try the Plunger!
Season Pass Holders. We love Waterworld. Wish they offered a little more shade and healthier food options.
Great for walks throughout park.
Rides for all ages and thrill seekers.
Many choices of delicious food and snacks.
Rest benches and chairs throughout park.
Shopping, photo's, and so much more.
Day passes, season passes, membership passes all available.
Visit their website to learn more
You can't take no music you can take no ice chest there's no security in the parking lot and someone got shot there last time we were there
I love this place! absolutely amazing always go a soon as the warm weather comes out
My Family And I Had A Great Time Out On A Hot Day But The Only Down Side Was A Few Water Slides Wasn't Available But We Still Had A Great Time
