Awful service. The rides are great, but having endless troubles starting when my wallet came out of my pocket on a ride. I know things like that happen, but the trouble I'm having to just get someone to open a fence and give me my wallet back is insane. I can see my wallet sitting on the ground in a fenced in area, and after a day it's still just sitting there.
When it happened I asked each employee I found, each told me something different. Finally, after waiting in line at customer service for 45 minutes, I was told to file a lost and found report on-line, and when the park closed, they would get my wallet. It's been another day. My wallet isn't lost, it's just sitting behind an enclosed area.
And no one answers the phone. What does it take to get you guys to do something that'll take 2 minutes. Waiting.....

Went today to only be disappointed. About 2 years or so ago six flags fright fest was everyday and now it s only Friday-Sunday? What a bummer, I ve never been so disappointed in six flags, why did they only make it three days out of the week. Would be way better if it was like Universal Studios where it s every night. What a waste of my day today, just terrible.

The rides are very fun and it's not a bad theme park. When i arrived however, I went to the new revolution and got to the front of the line. All good. But then, the people riding come back around but stop before they get to where they were supposed to be. After ten minutes, they get it to where it should be. Then, they do a test run and the same thing happens. I leave and go to viper, the line is ridiculously long and then over the speakers i hear, "We are experiencing technical difficulties and are only operating on one cart." I leave and go to X2. I can't even approach because there's a guy at the front telling me that they're experiencing technical difficulties. Might have been because of the rain, but still frustrating.

This has become a location I would only recommend to thrill seekers. Small children would enjoy the kids area but adults and seniors would not do well here.
There is limited seating available. The pathway from one ride to another is very steep in some areas so wheelchairs and those with disabilities will struggle.
I am disabled and only wanted to go on one ride, Rapids. The signage only stated to go to the exit and walk up the stairs. It is a steep climb but it is possible. The problem is though there are two sets one was closed off because a concrete step came off and a crew was under the stairs to repair it. The key note is they found rotting screws and brackets on the side being used by guests and they were working to secure that side first before it became unusable.
Now when I reached the top with the help of my daughters I was informed by the ride operators that I had to show them a disabled voucher proving I was in fact disabled. I was wearing a external metal knee brace and two ankle braces. One worker who realized I was struggling after the long climb up the steps agreed to take my daughter back down the steps all the way to guest services at the entrance of the park to get the verification voucher. I gave my daughter my DMV proof since I carry it with me, and the worker had her take a picture of me at the ride to show I am in a brace and at the ride.
Guests services refused to give my daughter the voucher. Telling her I had to be standing in front of them. There was no way I could go back down the stairs, all the way to the front of the park, back to the ride and back up the stairs.
Personally if this is there policy it needs to be stated on the sign to the ride as well as in the park map. In addition, I came in with a Walker. A gate attendant should have asked me if I wanted to go on rides and then directed me to guest services for the ride voucher proving I am disabled.
Due to their failure in communication, their lack of care towards disabled guests, current disrepair of ride... I notice hand rails with metal rot and holes.... i have no desire to return nor recommend this location to anyone.

An unmitigated operational disaster. What rides they manage to keep running are understaffed and dispatch infrequently. Areas are sticky, filthy, and in need of paint. The LA area has better options, steer clear.
Edit: Dropped to one star after waiting 30 minutes for nachos and getting turned away from yet another ride, the Revolution, due to a mechanical issue just as I was about to board.

We love Magic Mountain. It has always been great for our Family. We would mostly stay in bugs bunny land. Then go just the husband and I for fright fest but now they have more family fun to offer. As kids get bigger there is more they can do but Magic Mountain is bringing more family fun for everyone and it is just right and affordable.

Love Six Flags! Gotta get the season pass if you go more than once. At the beginning of the season, its the same as a day pass. If you do during school, there's no one there. Workers are okay. I've been given grief a couple of times but whatever. I get over it. For the most part, its always a lot of fun!

It was an amazing place, but it wasn't the best experience. The park wasn't as clean or nice as you would expect, but everything else was amazing. I would highly recommend going to magic mountain. Also try to go on twisted colussus, Tatsu, X2, and full throtle.

Horrible waiting line system. They make everyone wait for a ride while the quick lane people just walk up to the front of the line. This is dumb because they get to ride first at our expense. Very bad

Weekday visit was great. Plenty of rides for the whole family. Got on rides 3 or 4 times. Some operators were great and made you laugh. Plenty of walking....But food, seats and restrooms everywhere. Definitely for rollercoaster lovers. Growing up going to CedarPoint, this is only park that can compare!

Chill place to come, crazy wait lines but that's what it is in theme parks specially on weekends. Best bet is come during the week. A lot more chill place and a lot less wait times for rides.

Growing up in Australia I had always dreamed of visiting this place... finally at age 38 I made it! It was better than I could ever have imagined. Only had 1 day here but made the most of it. Highlights were X2, Tatsu and Goliath. Will definitely come here again someday and I'd recommend spending more than 1 day so you can go on all the amazing coasters.

Love this place.. get season passes and they include both six flags magic mountain and hurricane harbor. Dining passes are a great option as well. They are open every day of the year. Hurricane harbor is closed for cold season, though.

This amusement park has the best trill coasters, Tatsu the flying coaster along x2 are extremely wild. However this park is poorly managed in crowd control, mostly all lines from parking to security funnel to a few lines. Bring your patience when you visit.

I have had experience at other Six Flags parks and this one has a special atmosphere that you can t feel from others. It was definitely a good experience and I would recommend this park to anyone else. The staff has a lot of energy and cares about what they do and the rides are amazing, most aren t too long to wait for. The park is clean and looks really refreshing and gives a really good vibe. Definitely come here during the Halloween event it s amazing! I give 4 stars only because the park continues to push expensive products in the park but that is the way they make most of their money. Also some of the bigger attractions stay shut down for a long period of time so that can be a bummer.

At restaurants at six flags they don't have lines for handicap or disabled people they only have 1 line for everyone but they should have 1 line for regular people and another line for handicap or disabled people

Got to ride everything on a Saturday. Park is open till 9. Expect some break downs, but for them to open back up. X2 will close down at least once per day, but will always open back up. Coasters are great. Bring sunscreen, season doesn't matter

Have lots of giant rides for people who like to get scared and have toon town a little place that have lots of kids rides and i would recommend gold rusher and battle for metropolis for beginners who are new to the park.

Shithole, run-down park overrun with ads and desperate pleas to upgrade your pass. Careful if you re overweight or tall as the harnesses won t fit and you will not be able to ride any of the rides.

Worst amusement park ever!!! A bunch of people cut in front of you while waiting for rides and if you say anything, you are made out to be the bad guy. It looks run down in almost every area, too. A little paint and landscaping could do wonders! A new entrance would also help. It makes me wonder if they maintain their rides properly because all to the areas around the rides look sooooooo BAD! Bathrooms are gross as well but they do have AC, so, I guess that's one thing they got right! Parking is terrible as well. You have to walk almost a mile in "Death Valley" conditions to get to the entrance just to wait an additional hour to go through metal detectors and ticket sales if you didn't buy online. Operations on the rides are horrible. They have the capability to run 3 trains on almost every coaster to speed the lines up, but they always have at least one train idle and only run 2. Makes no sense other than they just filed Chapter 11 and are trying to save money. Also, there are always rides closed down and there is little to no shade or fans in queues. The food is overpriced too. Spend your money elsewhere like Knott's. Went there a few days ago and loved it. Cedar Fair parks are so much better! Do yourself a huge solid and try not to step in one by going to this toilet!

Got there early on a Saturday and got on two rides. Then hunted for a Coke and something to eat. You literally had to wait in a 45 minute line for anything like that. It's just crazy that they have one bartender at the sports bar doling out $12 beers and you have to wait in a line for 45 minutes to get one.

Great Place, affordable theme park when you compare the costs to Disneyland or Universal Studios. Glad this place is here or there wouldn't be an affordable option for people to got theme parks?

This was by far one of the filthies parks Ive been to. 1st off we needed to get assitance bc we didnt have our season pass cards. The 1st day it took the guy 2 mins to help us and get us a 1 day pass so we can enter. 2nd day the girl at guest services didnt want to let us in the park without our cards. We explained we were able to the day before w the online account/receipt barcode. Finally when she agreed to do it, took her abt 30 mins to get our passes. The bathroom at entrance doesn't have a trashcan inside and it was filthy. Ppl just threw the used napkins on the sink counter since there was no trash can.
At least 4-5 of the major rides were broken or not operaring on both days we went. Also the printed maps of the park have not been updated and are inaccurate. We asked one employee for directions and was completely clueless. What we were looking for was literally down the pathway..we found it on our own. The park was not well kept at all, park needs a nice deep cleaning. The machines many of them look like they need a deep cleaning. The waiting areas at the machines are dirty. The Halloween decor looks like a Highschool project. The rides that were open were great so we did have fun. Also we waited in line to do the $37.49 lunch-dinner-snack combo and the girl at the food court area kept saying she couldn't do it bc it would have to be the 2019 package when the meal is posted all over the park stating 2018. We asked her to explain what she meant bc the meal package was/is a daily meal package you pay for thats advertised all over the park. She wouldn't sell it to us. We simply went to a different line and the guy sold it to us w no problem at all. I feel that when you compare this to other 6 flags especially the 6 Flags Mexico (which is extremely clean and well kept), this 6 Flags Magic Mountain was a poor representation of the 6 Flags family, it was filthy, unkept, and with poorly trained personnel.

I have never been a fan of Six Flags Magic Mountain but only because I do not ride the rides. The summer attractions weren t open yet. The park seemed to have non-ride attractions but not yet.

Have a pass for me and my daughter which was good value. They need to start enforcing their policy on line cutting or I may not renew.

Experienced at least a few teens holding places for others on every coaster we rode over a four day period. One time riding Goliath we had seven people in total cut by us in line. Everyone behind us really pissed too.

Park needs to address this or will be losing my business after pass expires.

10/6. Horrible showing for a Saturday night during Fright Fest which merits taking away another star.

Signature ride, Crazanity, closed most of day. Seems to only run at night during Fright Fest. Currently standing in line for Twisted Colossus at 11:30, because Goliath has been down since 7pm. Get this....as I write this, they are telling people that Twisted Colossus is experiencing a delay....could be 5 minutes, could be an hour.

Park packed today. Superman running one car, Ninja was also running one car off and on this weekend...meaning you are waiting for car to board, complete ride, and exit, before next group can go.

Perhaps pay less shareholder dividends and keep your park in better state of repair. Likely cancelling membership after tonight.

If you love roller coasters this is the best theme park in Southern California to go to. Disneyland Knott's Berry farm California adventure...Does not compare when it comes to rollercoaster action. But this really is a park for physically active adults and children. There's a lot of walking there's a lot of hills to climb. In fact I log 25000 steps when I went with my niece and we rode every ride. In fact because it was kind of a chilly day we literally could walk on to every single ride. In some cases we could even stay on the ride because there was no line for that Ride. One of the more fascinating things I noted about this theme park is that the ridesAdd you in every single position rather you are upside down hanging from the the coaster or you were standing on the coaster you are sitting on the coast or the riots have you going forward and backwards and doing revolutions on your head and on your feet. I don't think you could be tossed around in any more different varieties and you can at that park. The food is OK it's a little overpriced like most parts... To be sure to get in line for your funnel cake early because the line at the end when the park closes is huge.
